Murder on the Lego Express Part 2
Athos replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well we know I'm not the murderer now. :-D Some observations: -I suggested we search Bloody Jay's room twice, and yet it did not happen for quite some time. -Additionally, I also suggested that Jon Fett might be have some connection with the dead maid. -Thirdly, if you look, you can see my signature picture was wearing clothes from the pirate theme! A dark knight, eh? Could it be our resident Sith Lord (aka Jedi Knight that turned to the dark side?) Also, when are we going to search BJ's room? Steve -

This case is all about motive. First, we have the murder of two pirates. Since pirates sail the seas and engage in (albeit a in a slightly different form) piracy, they will inevitably be in conflict with each other. Further, in the eyes of the unwashed uneducated masses, Vikings and Pirates are the same (or if not identical, very similar). Economically, the two themes (pirates and vikings) cannot co-exist. One theme will draw consumers away from the other and split the market. Thus while there are Pirates in existance, there can be no Vikings. Ipso Facto, the murder must want to eliminate the pirates to hasten the rise of the Norsemen! Now we come to the heart of the matter. I ask you, who among us is a Viking fan? Nay, who among us is a "Viking Junky?" Who among us has the word "Bloody" in his name? I submit to you the killer is Bloody Jay! I call for a search of his room! Steve -

Well I can deny I'm a gunslinging cowboy. I'm actually a Musketeer. And since I do not have any idea what is in my room anymore than the rest of you, I'd like to search it myself first. 8-| Steve -

I.F. could that be a latinization of Jon Fett? Since J would be an I, in Latin, right? Maybe he's having an affair with the maid? Steve -

Try 187 on the box. Also, anyone have any idea about the Evita song? It seems that it is our most important clue so far. The Brickster seemed to add that "Its our funeral too" to get us to the right song. Steve -

Well I'm from California, but no where near Solvang... or at least I assume so, as I've never heard of this self proclaimed Danish capital. And in fact, according to yahoo, it is 351.8 miles from where I am. Do we know any other Californians on the board? I think it must be Jay. With a name like Bloody Jay, he must be a killer Steve -

Ah, but I still have all my guns. Just look at my picture. :-D And the murderer is too smart to use a weapon that would so obviously implicate themself. I think its a red herring. Who would take the sword from the scabbard, is the question that needs answering... And lets not disregard Yoda. Even jedi can go bad... And lets not forget that Sarg is a pirate hunter and Mr. Phes was a pirate. Maybe Mr. Kulo is doing some off season poaching. Or Darth Ewok is a killer. Albeit of ladies, but lets not forget Mr. Phes' fondness for clickits treasure and impecably decorated ships. And remember the Brickster. Maybe Mr. Phes found out a little too much about this outlaw? The game is afoot, Steve -
This rather pleasant looking one: Steve

What's JT doing as a shadow knight? Maybe that's his evil twin brother Jerry? Steve

I don't think its all that terrible of an idea. There are some down sides to it, particularly those points I raised earlier about confusion. What really gets to me is that specifically told us they would not do this, and now they are. Not that I really expected them to hold to their word (or more accurately had no reason to think they owed it to us), but it would have been nice to have been plesantly surprised. Steve

We could freshen your pirateship up a little bit. Maybe you could dye your sails pink... and put a couple lovely throw pillows around on the deck.... oh and some flowery drapes would look just lovely over here! And what about a nice potted plant here! And maybe a few scented candles... and maybe a pot pourri burner here. And a mirror or two to check our makeup... *wub* Steve

Only for a bunch of real girly pirates... "Arrrrhhh what cute little bracelets ye be wearing..." "Aye, and ye olde hairbrush be mighty cute" "Thank you! Lets say we all just forget pillaging and plundering and just all go and have tea and play with dolls." "Good idea, and we can ditch our scurvy pirate rags lets wear are tu-tus and prance around in flower beds!" "Excellent idea, this eye patch was screwing up my depth perception... though it did save on my mascara costs." Steve

Well if Lego would quit making bad decisions, he might have good news to bring us. Though this isn't all that bad. It could be quite nice, or it could be a disaster. Its already hard enough to tell the difference between new dark grey and black in the instructions, let alone having two shades of greys to deal with? And even if that is solved then we have to sort out which 1 x 1 plate the new grey and which is the old? I don't think my poor eyes can handle that strain! Maybe Lego will pack the new greys separate from the old? And I'm sure there are all kinds of other implications I haven't even considered yet. Steve

Hey all, Here is the latest four additions to the story. There might be a bit of a hiatus after this, as it is finals time again. *wacko* Though I would estimate that it is nearing, if not already on, the downward slope to resolution... or at least I hope so. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg037.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg038.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg039.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg040.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg999.jpg The whole gypsy-tacular story: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=116716 Hope you are continuing to like it, Steve
