  1. Johnny Thunder and the Poachers of Prehistory! Steve
  2. Why is pharoah standing in a bucket? Lets pull on that light fixture... shake pharoah's hand... open those double doors... and swing from the chandalier... Steve
  3. Maybe Crowley was smuggling liquor during prohibition? Steve
  4. Me? Perhaps, Akkh, with his light would be the better choice, as I cannot see in the dark. Haven't been eating my carrots, I guess... :D Steve
  5. Scorpion light? Reading ancient manuscripts underground? Sounds like we might have an archeologist in our midst? You didn't perchance lose a scarab ring while murdering a millionare, did you? Steve
  6. Uh-oh. :o Anyone else reminded of the Temple of Doom? Wasn't it Kali that they were sacrificing people too? Steve P.S. Cover your heart, Indy! Your heart!
  7. Lets go check around outside, while we're here. Don't want to have to back track. I suggest we split into two groups. One group will go outside and look. The other will stay back and the door to make sure it doesn't get blown shut and locks us out. And for heaven's sake, don't get too close too the edge. (Images of "Hot Lead Cold Feet" flashing through my head, as I speak) Steve
  8. Aren't those hieroglyphics off the 2 x 1 x 5 bricks from the Egypt Adventurers sets? I'm pretty sure the last two are, at least. On further inspection they are all contained on there, except for the lion one... http://www.peeron.com/pics/inv/custpics/2454px1.jpg http://www.peeron.com/pics/inv/custpics/2454px2.jpg http://www.peeron.com/pics/inv/custpics/2454px3.jpg http://www.peeron.com/pics/inv/custpics/2454px4.jpg Steve
  9. Lets turn the lamp on? Its kind of dark in there... Steve
  10. Nice. I hope Lego makes some official ones, so us purists can have some :D Steve
  11. Perhaps someone should try biting the ring (you know like they do in cartoons?) to see if it is at least real gold. If its not, then we can pretty much discount the whole thing as a fake? Steve
  12. Careful with that! Ever seen the Mummy? Nothing good comes from playing with scarabs. :oo Steve
  13. Well gang, five months to the day after I first started posting, here is the end. One-hundred scenes long... I hope it was worth the effort. So for all you faithful readers, here you go: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg097.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg098.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg099.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg100.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg999.jpg The whole gypsy-rotic story (when moderated of course): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=116716 Hope you liked it... Steve, who is so glad this is finally done :D
  14. Lets play with those barrells a bit. Seems like a good place for another secret passage? Anything I can do to help... you know that. :) Steve
  15. Hey! Have we decided who is going and who is staying? I volunteer to say here with Darkie ;) Steve
  16. Well maybe not... I'd planned to have a couple of ninjas fighting out front, but then realized I'd packed them all away. So instead Kilroy got the position of honor... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...ers/shrine1.jpg Here's the rest of the gallery (including some other Adventurer vignettes) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=119054 Steve
  17. Its hard to say until I've seen pics of them all. Off hand, if pressed, I'd go with the interceptor, as I'm an OT guy, and not big on remakes... Steve
  18. What you have already read is all I can tell you, attorney-client privilege and all. You know how it is... wouldn't want to get disbarred or anything, now would I? Before I can tell you anything, I would have to contact my client and get permission... and until we can find a phone... it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Further, I'm not too fond of the notion of Mr. Yoda packing a loaded gun... I'm not sure we should be picking up every weapon we find and carting it around... Nor is it wise to dispose of the bullets so haphazardly. Perhaps, if it is not too late, you could allow someone else to carry them? As to the food issue, I think we would be alright, legally that is, in helping ourselves to it... A case of necessity and all... Finally, I think we need to find the study. Crowley might have some documents to assist us in figuring out just what is going on around here. Steve
  19. Hey all, Here's two more totally unrelated vignettes I made this afternoon. First, we have Pippin Read exploring the temple of Ares: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...urers/ares1.jpg The gallery, along with other Adventurer vignettes (when modified of course): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=119054 And second, we have a vignette inspired by the movie Paint Your Wagon, starring Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood (if you haven't seen it, you should, its a must see): http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...paintwagon1.jpg The gallery, with other Gold Rush era vignettes (when moderated of course): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=136072 Hope you like them, Steve P.S. Did you like the subject line? :D
  20. Hey all, Took the day off from studying and made up a few more vignettes today. These are inspired by my hometown smack-dab in the center of California's gold country: First, a prospector finds gold in his pan: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...sh/goldpan1.jpg And second, two miners prepare to head deep into the mine: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...dRush/mine1.jpg The whole Californian gallery (when moderated of course): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=136072 Steve
  21. B-V-12A to B-V-12C Hey all, Had an idea for a series of vignettes tonight as I was getting ready for bed... Thought I'd just do one, then decided to do too, and when all was said and done, I had three. Here's the result: The Monkey Cage: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...Zoo/monkey1.jpg The Reptile House (Part 1) with Scorpions and Frogs: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...o/reptile1a.jpg The Reptile House (Part 2) with Spiders and Snakes: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...o/reptile2a.jpg The whole zoological gallery (when moderated of course): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=135949 Sorry about the size of the pics (they are frickin' huge). I didn't think about resizing them. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow, for my fellow dial up users. Steve
  22. Extra pant pocket... eh? What exactly does that mean? Does he have an extra pair of pants? Or an extra pocket on the pants he's wearing? Either way, it seems a little fishy to me. Steve
  23. We're almost done folks... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg093.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg094.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg095.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg096.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg999.jpg The whole gypsy-stensive story: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=116716 Steve
  24. Good evening all, Long time since Prague... I was dead tired after that trip. I am, as you may know, an attorney. I handle business transactions through-out various parts of the world. I am looking forward to exploring the local landscape, and am planning a walking tour of the surrounding countryside, if anyone is interested in tagging along. Steve
  25. Here's another update, just in time for Indepedence Day (take that Britain :P ): http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg089.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg090.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg091.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg092.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg999.jpg The whole gypsy-otic gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=116716 Steve
