Hey all, As promised, the first installment of my latest story. I thought I'd try my hand at a little bit of romance mixed with adventure. Hope you like it: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg001.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg002.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg003.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg004.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...ies/kotg999.jpg The whole story: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=116716 Steve

I'm not starting to post the story until Valentine's Day, but I started to get impatient, so I did up another teaser picture. Here you go: Preview Two Steve

Hopefully, installment one will debut on Valentines Day. Steve

Johnny Thunder and the King of the Gypsies, preview picture Steve

Well I read it. Not really expecting to see anything good, but more because I didn't have anything else to do. *wacko* Steve

Thats rather strong language for a lego board, don't you think? Not that I don't use it occasionally in realtime. Steve

"Mr. X, hmmm... Dare I cross the final frontier?" "All the much that's fit to rake" "Thats it, I'll make up the news. "At least take off your Pulitzer Prize when you say that." "I'm glad you won the Pulitzer Prize, but I'm sorry about the children. "They're with God now." "What made you think a giant bubble would stop them? "Shut up, that's why!" That's all I've got off the top of my head, (and something about efficient German lovemaking) Hilarious, Steve P.S. See you on the island...

Man, Lego should really release "fantasy" sets...
Athos replied to tjb tyranno's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'd love to see some Greek mythology stuff. Centaurs, saytyrs, medusa, the gods, etc. But yes, there is a good deal of fantasy stuff out there: Dragons (in two colors would like more colors), Wizards (in four colors, but would like more) and Witches, Cerebus', Pegasus/Hippogryph, Werewolves, Vampires, Trolls, Goblins, Elf (maybe, if you count Dobby, though he is more goblin-esque), ghosts, crystal balls, giant snakes. Gobs of good stuff. And then the coming soon: merfolk (whoo-hoo!, with fingers crossed for good execution), Viking monsters (bleh!), and who knows what else? Steve -
I saw it at the store. Wasn't impressed. Maybe if not for the flesh toned Anikin, I might have picked it up. But not much in it for a Castle/Pirate/Cowboy/Adventurers guy like me... Might get it on sale, just to be SW complete. (Also saw the new Darth Vader lightup saber too... again not impressed.) Steve

That thing is huge! Looks like it is Jack Stone sized. Maybe it can be used to haul some of that junk away. Steve

I hadn't noticed that. I assumed it was just some bricks added on to the BURPS. I didn't think it was likely, and wrote it off to bad photography. It could, however, very well be multi-colored. See this pic: Two multi-colored BURPS. (That sounds kind of gross, doesn't it?) Steve

Which store are you at Orlego? Steve

Is there an update on the minifigs at PaB? Also curious if there is anything new in PaB. I'm considering a trip down to the stores in Northern California, but don't want to waste the two hour drive, if there isn't anything good/new. Anyone know? Steve

That's a great little shopping counter. Something else I'm going to have to steal. Steve

I hadn't seen this until about episode XXX, so I've been working my way through it. I love how off the wall some of the stuff is. The photography is really good. What photo editing program do you use? Also, what is with this guys hands? Yellow Gloves? ;) Steve
-
Nothing is wrong with it per se. I think maybe it is that there are too many primary colors (black, red and yellow), it makes the division between colors seem sharp. Also I think there might be too many colors in general. Four (five if you count the smokey windows), are more than I usually work with. Though there are six in your tan building, so I really don't know... I really like the architecture on it, specifically the upper windows that are on their sides. And, the color scheme is actually kind of growing on me, now that I look at it again. Steve
-
I really like these. I like the tan better than the red. I'm not real fond of the red color scheme, but the architecture is great. Nice work. Steve

Damn. Now that's one more set to buy... Actually I'm quite happy about it. She looks like a pretty cool fig. Steve
-
Are the hats on the light-up figs compatable with regular figs? If so, this fig has some potential. I can think of several non-Star Wars uses for it. Steve

Its the Adventurers of Johnny Thunder Cast Christmas Party. Everyone who had been included in my stories, up to that point, is present, or rather all the good guys (or at least those we think are good) are included. Thus far, there haven't been any children in my stories, so that's why there aren't any. Steve P.S. If you haven't checked out my stories, here are the URLs: Johnny Thunder and the Cave of Terror (my first attempt) Johnny Thunder and Blackheart's Gold (my second attempt)

I didn't necessarily mean late, I was more observing that he posted a reply to almost every thread in the forum. Steve

Wow, brickmaster, talk about a bit of catch up... :-D

Its fake. They would be flesh toned if they were real. Steve

It was pretty hard to choose last year... With no real choices. I was like having to choose your method of execution, electric chair or gas chamber... :D. But seriously, this is shaping up to be a good year. I might have to sacrafice buying the Star Wars III sets to be able to afford the vikings and KK2II stuff. Steve
