I think an Antique shop would be neat!
-
About the color, i'm afraid the supposed Light Yellow will be just Tan. According to both Bricklink and Brickwiki this color is out of production for a few years now. Although the Maersk color was a huge surprise to me, i don't reckon the same thing would happen to Light Yellow. As far as i know, the Modulars have always been designed with current production bricks...

Well, after being overwhelmed at first, i have to say that i did not expect anything better. It reminds me of how spoiled we sometimes get with eachother's creations. let's face it: Loads of nice ideas of course, and here and there some nice colors (i'm afraid that light yellow will be the old tan color though) but by means of techniques i've seen many things amongst the fans as well. Lovely to see much interior anyway! This is what makes this one a winner for me this time!
-
Do i see light yellow bricks????
-
Well, if it's all the same to you, i'll keep looking ok?
-
Now, who still needs pics after such explanation?...
-
Well done FC! But... it might be a good idea to switch from this topic. Although this is about the Pet shop, Last couple of posts are about your moc. Not sure how everyone takes this... I'll be Following you Closely anyway!! Cheers! JJ.

It's a cute one! That Pets sign would surely be a Jamie Berard style thing... Well done!
-
Cool!!! i really love the way you faced this challenge! The Sydney Opera house is always one of those things that are the hardest to create in bricks, but you're getting there! Oh, any interior?...
-
To be honest, i would love to see your creation, even if it isn't a salute towards the new set. The purpose of EB (if i'm correct) is just to show everyone what you have created isn't it? Let it be an original FC moc!
-
Just perfect!
-
And yet, if you want the older ones to be compatible with newer ones if they're build on regular plates, the more easy to transfer the older ones to regular plates as well.
-
Many thanks FC!! This is getting really exciting. Sorry for stirring this up, but this means that not only sand blue is back, but light yellow as well! Just keep cool now, just wait for the pics...
-
Can anyone tell me, is this pet shop set mostly sand blue? Don't know where i read this, but it keeps popping in my mind every time... I know other colors are involved, but i'd like to know about the sand blue.. This would mean that this color is back in production! -fingers crossed modus-

Is It worth just buying a modular building ?
Jasper Joppe Geers replied to LEGO AFOL's topic in LEGO Town
Maybe a bit off topic but... Who in their right mind would spend about 500/600 dollars/euro's on a set like cafe corner?... -
This is just great. I noticed the other ones before, and it's a lovely idea!
-
That was indeed the case. Thing is: it doesn't nescessarily mean that things have to stay that way. Same thing with the building techniques as a selling point. I don't expect anything new here, but it is not unlikely to have something new involved. I cannot imagine that in the future as long as the modular series continue, that it's policy has to stay that way. TLC will understand easily that nowadays there are a lot of people who come up with great designs as well. So, for this series to continue, i'd expect something to change one day...
-
Actually, i've been thinking.. WIth the collective minifig series lately we get a huge supply of little detailed objects and accesoires.. Somehow TLC seems to have found a way to produce them, otherwise they wouldn't be bothered. With the Pet Shop coming up i wander if some new molds or prints will be revealed?.. Somehow i feel that this Pet shop will once again be a fun to build set, but a more fun challenge to work up. This has always been the case to me since the Cafe Corner days.. Every set had it's 'room' for improvement. Think tiled floors, wall decorating, change colors etc.. I can't stop thinking about this Pet shop either like many of you. Somehow a stuffed creature seems in place.. a huge tiger or something.. Hmmmm... let's dream on shall we?..

Let me just add my two cents. It doesn't stop with buying them. Once you've build one and want to build one of the other sets, you're hooked on before you know it. And that's when the real fun starts: build one of your own creation! And please, don't tell me you are not creative, because everyone is more or less. Only thing you need to keep in mind is: Have fun! -
-grin modus- Where's Grogall when you need 'm...
-
@ Follows Closely: Many thanks!
-
Well then, tell us a bit more about colors etc. Please?
-
If the painter idea is correct, then it might be likely that this particular building part has some inside works as well.. I'm thinking scaffolding, carpenters, plasters... Sorry for getting excited here!
-
Well Grogall, good news all in all! Many thanks! The painter idea is once more a great one. It exactly fits the purpose of giving us once more a batch of a hard to find color. (did i read sand blue somewhere?) The idea of two houses bothers me though. Good fun of course, but it seems a two-peace 16 x 32 baseplate solution to me. so a pet shop that's 14 studs wide?... dunno bout this.. We'll see, we'll see...

Actually, i hope it isn't a corner building...
