  1. Maybe a stupid thing to say, but... Why don't you give it a try yourself? What would a pet shop be like according to you? It sure helps while waiting!
  2. I think we all get too excited about this. TLC has nothing to do with this discussion, the only trouble are the notifications you get every time someone posts something here, triggering everyone thinking there's some big news... I won't cancel my subscription of this thread though...
  3. Well, in your case some good quality stickering wouldn't hurt at all. best way to create those laptops in white and silver... It is just that you're one of those who take Mocs to the next level, and to achieve the detail you like you sometimes have to ehh, cross some 'borders'... Looking forward to your next project!! Cheers, JJ.
  4. let's challenge him and ask for an Apple store!...
  5. Well done to you Jaredchan!
  6. It just depends on what a farm should look like on the whole. The main thing i liked about farm are the machinery. Tractors, harvesters, ploughs, potato harvesters etc.. Tractors and ploughs should be something to collect. And try to create some of your own! See how that works... What happens inside a harvester anyway? Does anyone know? For as long as i play with lego (over 30 years...) i wandered why we can't have tires with the traditional V shape profile on them! That would make it a tractor to me. And while we're on the subject: why not special tiles/bricks that could be used to create acres with crops or grass or mud... Such details are the ones that make a farm. Not just any horse stable and another animal mold...
  7. Great work, but shouldn't this continue in another thread? Just asking... Keep the good work up anyway! Cheers! JJ
  8. - groan...-
  9. Although The Maison Villa would be a great set, (and i defenitely would like one!) I don't think it would happen. If there will be another Modular it is most likely it's a Jamie Berard one since he's the guy who started the whole modular house idea some years ago. As far as i know there's also some difference between the designers for the exclusive series and the lines like Creator, pirates etc.
  10. Never mind. I'd just like to say that Erik Brok was from The Netherlands, not Norway. (Feeling a little stupid, proud and sad that he's no longer with us...) Cheers, JJ.
  11. Forget it. Akthough it's a great creation of Marcos Bessa, this is not the net modular set.
  12. Let's wait for Grogall..
  13. Actually, a birdcage wouldn't be much of a problem, and a rat in a glass cage wouldn't be either. Only addition i can think of now is a fishtank, and that would probably be the interior on the first floor...
  14. Personally, when i create something i like to go all the way. So not only the facade, but the inside, floor, and (if possible) roof as well. The more detail you can fit into it, the better in my opinion! Cheers, JJ
  15. I guess it will be one of those two, but what about a barber shop!
  16. Well done!! And excellent pics too!
  17. I would love it when it would be a pet shop. To me it would be more interesting and fun then a post office. It makes me think about animals in cages, a fish tank perhaps? A running drum for the rats and hamsters! Whoah! If it is up to Jamie once more i'd really like to know how he would create all this! fingers crossed!
  18. It would be a pretty good idea though if the other Maersk sets would be rereleaed as well... for the plates... you know.
  19. Jasper, time to have a look at your eyesight...
  20. Just asking: Can anyone confirm that this sets contains the actual Maersk blue color bricks? Not that we may find regular medium blue bricks when opening the box... Cheers! JJ.
  21. I may be wrong, but i believe the guy made this building himself while on duty at the TLC... Perhaps you can provide some pics Marcos?
  22. has not set their status

  23. Some months ago i sold my last Cafe Corner. It had been in my street for this long that i got bored and fed up with them. When you start creating these modular houses, it's great fun in the beginning, but even more when you get more and more familiar with building techniques etc. For me, it started with just the building. Then the inside became more and more interesting and fun to do. Then i noticed the detail you can grasp, and if you have a floor, why not spend some time on a ceiling as well? After some time you may find that the original sets are perhaps still fun, but you are certainly able to create something of you're own. And that's the moment when you have to control yourself before getting lost in bricks, houses and ideas!! :) Cheers! JJ.
  24. Just my two cents, but... It seems to me that when it comes down to a theme that has the intention to be realistic, just like the town theme e.g. they seem to be somewhat reluctant to create the accesoires as well. To me, a farm theme is nothing without the acres. So, why not create a different surfaced tile to create the acres with? So far, all tiles are just polished surfaced ones. Why not with some texture to create e.g. grass? or dirt? And then, what about a different set of ploughs? Or potato harvester? That would be great fun to me! And what about fencing? So far, we have a couple of fences to build with, but they're not exactly the ones to find around an acre.. On the other hand: in some way i think that traditional farms are slight different in all country's... Hmm... Anyway. A farm is just much more that a building, tractors, a harvester and some animals. I'd say: have a look at that! Cheers, JJ.
  25. Just my two cents, but... Although GG is probably the most addictive set to get and to build, once you're done you most likely put it away and start looking for a neighbour one way or the other. And that is where it begins. Just like Grogall said, before you realise it, you are hooked on! Tweaking a set, start creating one from your own imagination... If you don't buy it, you would be safe... ...probably. Cheers! JJ.
