  1. Just excellent work!
  2. Good luck i'd say! Can't wait to see the pics!
  3. Excellent review! I only found it just now... Well done Svelte!! As for the tiling... What's wrong with having a lot of tiling to do? This grand Emporium is just begging to be tiled very, very much! Haha. Can't wait to get started!!!
  4. I don't get it... When i go to the Lego.com store, i can order the GE no problem.. What should be different for me than you?... Anyway, this is going to be another fantastic set! Can't wait to get my hands on it!! Cheers! JJ.
  5. Grand Emporium now in holland available! Yeeh!
  6. Yes!!!! Excellent one! This is exactly a fire truck you can't miss when there's a fire in town! I'm one of those who do like the 8 stud standard for trucks, and this one shows exactly why. Everything fits and works in the minifig stasndard like it would in the real world. Well done, and congrats on this effort! JJ
  7. Patience... just have patience...
  8. Well done if you ask me! I don't see that many 5 wide vehicles around, and think of it as a challange apart! Please get us some more of those!!
  9. I picked this set up last weekend, and after building the main model, there's one question i have. According to picture 39 when building the roof, i don't understand the use of the 3044 double slope brick, where a 3040 single slope should be expected. I've finished the model, and cannot think of any reason to exclude a 3040 brick from this set?...
  10. I don't think this is exactly what he is looking for Ciano. I agree that in Lego town we have far too many policemen, firemen, community workers and hospital people around, instead of the regular people. It takes a real effort to get a group of those together..
  11. Really well done! Although i prefer trucks to be 8 wide i wish i had this one in town today!
  12. Likewise here! Think I'll change the SHOP word into HEMA... makes more sence to dutch folk here... haha.
  13. Great work! Just glad you told us this is a bit of a joke, but even if it did cost 400 Euro's i would buy it still! Any pics of the inside? Back of the box pics?... Cheers, JJ
  14. Excellent work if you ask me!
  15. Wicked! Seems to me that you set the new 48 x 48 plate modular standard!
  16. I think it depends on your own ideas how a lego town should look. I started when the modular buildings started. I thought and still think they are the ultimate way to create a LEGO town/street etc. Therefore i only think modular. The other sets, how nice they may look, are no match to me. The town plan seem to fit nicely according to some people, but not me. I have the most fun when everything looks similar like reality. A real challenge, but good fun! Take care, and send us the pics! cheers, JJ.
  17. Yeah well... Thanks for respectfully disagreeing with me! But like one said before, back on topic i think...
  18. I wish you were right, but i don't think this is likely to happen... The thing is: if you are an AFOL, you use the bricks when you have them. You play with it, you're having fun with it, you don't think of them as an investment. TLC most likely will not think this way either. Why else don't they offer more bricks and colors on SAH/PAB?? I wish they did. Of course, I have to be glad there is bricklink and such, and I really am! I use BL too of course otherwise i wouldn't be able to build a whole street like i have. But the price and demand is now dictated more or less by everyone who offers their bricks via BL. Like I said: I don't blame them, but this is the reality. If TLC would give SAH/PAB a bigger chance then now, then they would be in charge much more, and we wouldn't have to pay redicilous prices for particular bricks anymore. I mean to say: 17 dollars for a complete turkey is about the amount you should pay for a real one, not a Lego turkey...
  19. No offense, but i cannot say i applaud this attitude... I don't blame you guys for thinking this way, but this exactly encourages the idea of making money on Lego, over the backs of those who just like to play with it. Thanks to people like you we are generally paying more and more for our bricks then they are worth it. And i hate it. I hate the idea the Lego will be tommorow's new money spinner... Sorry for saying this, and for being off topic here..
  20. I hope it is ok to ask if we can keep it english here?... Would be great if the rest could read every post as well.. Cheers, JJ
  21. This city reminds me a lot of the Richard Scary books my kids used to have... Is there an air balloon somewhere? Excellent!
  22. Great thing! I don't see them 8 studs wide trucks this often. Why does TLC keep producing trucks at the size of 6 studs wide anyway? Keep it coming!
  23. Mwahahaha! Cool! I was really expecting something else, you really nailed me here!
  24. Cool Job! Love those interiors!
  25. Good question. I think I would first take a look at some part lists of the original models like GG, CC, FB... Then i wonder why you would find everything from PAB?... If you could get your hands on one or two of the original LEGO modular houses that would give you the best start if you ask me. You could use those parts to toy around, and find out about you're own ideas... what you would like to build. Cheers, JJ
