My favorites are the lightblue or purple jellybean armor designs but in the new speckled black colors. The lightblue helmet hasn't been made in that color yet so this is the closest official knight but switch the green armor with speckles and the legs with his I also really like the Ninja - Shogun, White with Armor My least favorite is particularly the face and helmet. The torso design is good though.

:-D It seems he befuddled you. It means (to confuse) I was looking for an instance where his Doctorate was mentioned, thinking it was historically related, not medical. I didn't find that yet, but I found some more of his ship mocs here. EDIT- I found out he is in fact a medical doctor, perhaps building with Lego is therapeutic. Reguardless of trying to justify combining the two, why can't doctors "play" with lego?

How Well Do You Like the Ninja Theme?
ghoulrealm replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I love this theme *wub* It was one of the few themes that I thought were so well designed that they need little or no mocing (maybe fuller roofs, but thats all) I also have all but 2 of the smaller sets, and they are all intact. -
Jabba's Sail Barge - The best 2006 Pirates Set?
ghoulrealm replied to Legeaux's topic in Pirate MOCs
Here is a quick photo edit of what I had in mind. It would likely need to be entirely reworked to to arrange everything so the studs are up, and move the port holes to the upper hull. It may look a bit too much like a modern steel hulled ship, but I can live with that. -
That was the other person I was reffering to. The Horta was a rock boring alien. The miners were destroying it's eggs which happen to look like rock spheres. She started killing the miners out of vengence, and the moc is of the scene where Spock mind melds to discover all of this...dun dun dah! I heard that Star Trek is quite popular in France. Is that so? Not that you have to like it, but it is the "logical" choice. the horta with some eggs in the background the melding 'peace and long life'

Jabba's Sail Barge - The best 2006 Pirates Set?
ghoulrealm replied to Legeaux's topic in Pirate MOCs
It should make a nice ship if you evened out the top deck and simply flipped it upside down. In practice it may not be quite that simple, the basic shape is allready there, just inverted. -
It's always a pleasure to see Trek Lego mocs and you didn't even have to use decals to create nice uniforms. It's also rare to see vignettes. Most are ships and most of those are not that great. 007 also has some pretty good trek mocs as well. Someone else had a nice Galileo shuttle but I forget who that was (it was in their brickself folder, no post of it yet) Did you upload these on brickshelf a while ago? I think I remember seeing some of them before. I sometimes wish that TLC picked up the Star Trek licence instead of Star Wars or better yet, both licences. I beleive megablocks released an enterprise D, It was a decent design but as usual it was :-X plastic quality, so I didn't get it.

Anyone who hates Bionicle at first sight...
ghoulrealm replied to Zarkan's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I wouldn't think that that would sway a system lover at all. The one thing I dislike about bionicle is the oversized figures anyway. And It's still a specialized technic robot/person thing. I love the new little bionicle minifigs, not particularly on their own but excellent new small specialized parts and it is a step in the right direction for system mocers. The moc itself is good, but again, it's just way too big. -
I love the design and the color scheme! *y* I do think cloth sails would look nicer though, perhaps even official TLC blue striped sails. The paper is ok if you dont have the material.

I'm a biology nut, so I couldn't resist. I would be impressed if the general public even knew polyps were organisms and not just the nonmalignant growths or tumors. I'm sure the general public doesn't care much about such trivial information, but I thought I'ld contribute none the less. also polyps are hardly monsterous unless your the size of a water flea, but they can be slightly poisonous (most are non lethal) if you step on them. If the bionicle has tentacles, I will be pleased regaurdless of what it's called. *y*

I don't think I can clarify the issue more than I allready have, but I'll try. First of all, I just don't find marionettes all that funny or or interesting, sorry :-( And the three I posted were the only ones I liked on my breif quest to find some aesthetically pleasing marionette designs. I feel like this thread is turning into the "why ghoulrealm hates marionettes" topic. I'm very particular about most things. I can usually find something good in most things, but more distastes than partiality.

I only have one complaint, where is Slimer?
-
Extremely well done! Here is the list of my most favorite aspects of your moc; the roof architecture embellishment, the archway, spanish roof tiles, the peir, the brick built pelican, and especially the ship. I believe this is one of the best mocs in the style of an official Lego set, except that lego would not likely sever a man's hands to shackle him. :-)

This is a great fort, but my favorite thing is the stagecoach. I'm glad to see that it is not forgotten. I've wanted to build a coach for some time and always had other ideas take precedence.
-
That is excellent *y* It's not extra long, most people seem to like em big... :-P to them A fair amount of detail work, just over all nicely done!
-
I love the idea of them being more animal\alien creature like. *y* If they are, I'll be collecting this line of bionicle. But I hope the spines are not attached to the head. The spines are alright, but it limits mocing potentials. *n* Now, I'm not a huge fan of bionicle but I can see the appeal and try to even incorperate parts in more system mocs. It's rare to do so and have it look fitting. Are you sure? Octopi are molluscs, while polyps are cnidarians (such as coral and sea anemones) The two Phylums may have some superficial similarities but are quite distinct.

Some of my oldest axles are rusted. 1 or 2 are even unusable, but I don't use wheels that much anyhow :-P
-
That's an awesome fort *y* The ships are good too, but not quite up to the level of quality as the fort. Not so sure about the cotton :-/ I guess it's ok.

All other new 2007 sets (including new theme)
ghoulrealm replied to sam89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If you couldn't tell allready I love monsters *skull* Altough I can't say I really liked many official TLC mosters, I'ld rather have even bionicleish mosters than more yellow anything. And sharks are completely real and monsterous. If the subs are based on creatures again, it might be cool if they were similar to 'Disney's Atlantis' designs. Anything to be more scifi. I'm just not a fan of modern realism. -
That is a neat design *y* I'ld like to try to do a real brick version like that. The brick built hull is hard to pull off sometimes, but you did a good job. I for one love these small ships. They are more realistic, (in terms of size relative to TLC standard hull) as most real pirate ships were small campaired to most merchant and warships.

That's the best only lego mortar I've seen. Were these very accurate with such a short barrel?
-
That's pretty good resolution for for that game. How many points is Joe worth? Nice work! Will you make Donkey Kong?
-
It directed me to the first movie but there was a link to Dead Man's Chest," so thanks. Did you post your decals or have some pictures for us?

I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall some else saying they was interested in building this ship? if anyone can find anymore pics of the main deck, I could use those.
