  12. Excellent find and one fine looking steampunk boat!
  13. "Here they come! Everyone, stick to the back and engage them like we discussed." Thalion attacks Croise Marksman B with darkness spell, from the back row. 14. OOC: I do keep in mind that half of the people here have no battle experience apart from this. Thalion can survive 4 free hits from the Commander, from the back row; all other damage excluded. I would put him to take them, but his damage potential if far grater then anyone's current (30 dam. to each enemy or 150 total damage on a "shield" roll). But if commanders' first special is rolled in the first few rounds, our chances of getting KO'ed easily are increasing while at the same time our chances of winning are decreasing. There is no need to risk a quicker defeat for some sure damage taken, IMO. I discussed this strategy with Vash, and if this doesn't work of course it will be changed. As I said several times my priority is, aside from defeating the enemies, the survival of everyone. "half-prepared" is something Thalion thinks, so maybe the question shouldn't be that direct. It will be answered nevertheless. "No mistress Stigveladi. I think we did what we could to prepare, but master Janek didn't rest with the rest of us and looks a bit drained from our last few fights. Also, others seem a bit too eager to fight. I think they do not fully understand the dangers we are about to face. If there was any uncertainty in my voice, that was it."
  15. "No one knows how much time it will take to defeat anyone mistress Stigveladi. With lady Luck on our side we could be done in two to three turns, otherwise it would be more. While it is true that we don't have much supplies., having them is no guarantee of winning, it just gives a much better chance. For someone claiming to be so old you show a lack of respect for your opponent (or wisdom) in saying they are "not that powerful". If nothing else, they are more powerful then you, and should their Commander rally all of them, they would be even more powerful and dangerous." Hearing the others so eager to go into battle half-prepared Thalion sighed, "I guess... We are ready." OOC: Free hits from Croise commander are 8 damage in front row, 4 in the back - you do the math, but I wager we can survive quite a lot of them.
  16. Thalion pondered on his own speech, "Hmmmm... Thinking about it now - what happens if, like in the last similar battle we had, the commander encourages his allies? We would be unable to engage them without a great risk of being defeated. Maybe we should leave him alone for the first part of the battle, until we deal with the archers. Then we can fully concentrate on him."
  17. Understood! Thalion returns and speaks to the party, "All right everyone, here's what we are looking at: (see the post above for info on enemies). Now, as for the plan of attack, I suggest that Dreyrugr takes on Commander, and the rest of us to divide the remaining archers so that every one of them is engaged by at least one of us; A - Alexander, B - me, C - Nessa, D - Amma. Janek can help any one of us or even attack the Commander if he wishes. Do you agree?"
  18. Note to QM: I thought it was auto since it is equipped and not a consumable!? If not, of course - and for future reference, after each and before next battle Thalion will use his Cloack of Espionage! Thanks for the reminder/clarification. Thalion was too busy worrying about the incoming Croise forces to pay any attention to the conversation his companions were having. He hurried ahead of them and used his Cloack of Espionage to scout the area they were bound to, so he could come back afterwords and discuss the plan of attack before they engage the enemy.
  19. Thank you for a very nice review PhilipJFry and welcome to Eurobricks! The pricing puts it out of my reach, so I will not be getting this set, but I sure will be looking for a way to get/buy that Bane figure...
  20. Thalion moved away from the prisoner and whispered to the party, "Looks like that is all he is willing to divulge voluntarily. If anyone has any more questions for them, now is the time for them. I ask only that we remain civil and not torture him. And with that done, we should move to the baricades and prepare for the next attack." He then turned to captain Trent, "Captain, you heard the prisoner. How are your men holding up? Are you ready for their next offensive?"
  21. "Again you deflect sir knight, but no matter. This could go on for some time, and it is time we do not have. As our dwarf friend said, we are not here to discuss philosophy so just answer her questions: tell us all you know about your superiors, who is leading you army and what is your next plan of attack!?"
  22. "Your fight for your goal, or the goals of your superiors, is commendable sir knight, but your following of orders without questioning them, even for a second, not so much. We fight for a goal too; for the freedom of choice that you seemed NOT to have given to these people. And to your question I have a question as well, if you occupy a town and its people, send them someone to govern them, and try to force them to a way of life, all of that against their will; does that make you good? If so, then we may truly be "evil" people, for trying to free them of such a tyrannical "perfect" existence."
  23. That is true, rest replenishes health and ether. I didn't even know we were about to rest, I thought we deciding between that and going to one of the barricades. If that was majority's decision, Thalion would also have rested. After Amma asked her first question, and knowing of her recent grumpy attitude, Thalion whispered to her: "Mistress Stigveladi, I don't mind you questioning the prisoners but treat these people with respect, no matter their allegiance or motives. I will not tolerate any kind of cruelty in my presence, especially to tied up people, be them friend or foe. I hope we understand each other." While Amma is interrogating the prisoners, Thalion rests in his bedroll.
  24. "Indeed it did captain. We were also able to capture two of the enemy soldiers. I trust they will not be harmed in your custody?" Thalion showed captured soldiers to the captain. So, captain, what is our next move? When do you think the next attack will be and do you think we can rest for a while?"
  25. "No matter how important they are or not, we are still in a middle of a siege. We should check other parts of town one more time to make sure they are defended and take these prisoners to captain Trent. If nothing, he could trade them for some of his own people taken captive. After that, we should all be able to rest properly."
