  1. Wow! That is one fantastic looking building. Great job on the whole, but the level of detail deserves a special praise!
  2. "I can understand your distrust master Boomingham, but I disagree that we, mages, can change the world too much. In the physical sense, most I can muster is a short blizzard or a firestorm which changes the surface of the world as insignificantly as a fire started by an inexperienced arsonist. Some can do more the others I suppose, but in my experience, the balance is kept in the end. In a non-material sense, it is as master Sorrow says, actions of an ether user are no different then actions of any other person. And I have seen a lot of them walking the earth for over, and using magic a little under, two centuries; knights without any sense of honor or duty, cutthroats that give to charity, clerics that murder, the lot of them..." Thalion paused for a moment, "You are absolutely right about one thing tough, we must seek our own path and let our actions speak for us."
  3. Thalion nods in approval. "By the way, if you don't mind me asking sir knight, is there something wrong with being a magic user?"
  4. Thalion looked a bit surprised, "Indeed he is, I guess his bow gave him away. I have nothing more to ask you, and unless someone else has something to ask perhaps we should hurry to catch a frog!?" He smiled at the girl and bowed sightly, "Thank you Morgan."
  5. Thalion approached the girl and greeted her with a smile, "Hello Morgan, my name is Thalion and I am a mage too. Tell me something; since you and your brother talked about it, do you or him by any chance know any shapeshifting spells? If you do, did someone teach them to you or have you found out about them on your own?" He listened to Sorrow's comment and turning to Morgan, nodded in approval, "That is true; if your brother did turn into a frog, how would we know which frog to look for?"
  6. Thalion nods at Nagures statement and follows him.
  7. After arriving at the gates of the Ziegfried Manor, Thalion looks around and notices an experienced looking group of heroes already gathered there. He approaches them and bows to the three unknown heroes, speaking in a soft voice, " Greetings fellow heroes. My name is Thalion Dwinlas. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." OOC: Thanks for hosting Flare, its nice to be here. Thalion made a last minute purchase at the Marketplace (3 potions; -15 gold), otherwise his stats are fine.
  8. After he left the Hall, Thalion rushed to the marketplace to get some supplies for the upcoming quest. "Good day mistress Portia. I would like three potions please." Thalion handed 15 gold to Portia, and put 3 Potions in his pack. He left the marketplace with 125 - 15 = 110 gold.
  9. Thalion nodded and smiled, "Same here my friend. I guess we will have to reschedule that wine I mentioned in the arena for after the quest... Now, I have to get some supplies but we'll meet at the Ziegfried's manor."
  10. After the blizzard subsided, Thalion packed his equipment and went over to where Alexander was, extending his hand to help him up. "Mighty fine battle master Alexander, it was uncertain till the end. Thank you for this chance. Now, let us go to the Hall for a drink, I still have some fine, home elvish wine I hope you will like..."
  11. Inspired by his recent success, Thalion again casts an ice spell at Alexander, from the back row.
  12. Thalion breaks the arrow, grips the scepter as firmly as possible and attacks Alexander again with an ice spell, from the back row.
  13. I'd be happy to when, and IF, I get Thalion to level 30... I reckon he could make an interesting RP combo with his moral alignment and necromancy.
  14. Thalion closes his eyes and concentrates on casting an Ice spell at Alexander, from the back row.
  15. Thalion bowed, "I accept your challenge master Alexander. May the best man win!"
  16. "Very well done! I must say, I am not prone to taking risks but I have to admit sometimes they have to be taken. It would be my honor and privilege to accept your challenge and test our abilities in a quick battle in the Arena."
  17. Thalion sees Alexander drinking in the corner and approaches him, "Master Alexander, you were gone from the Hall for a while... Did you by any chance get an answer on the notice you put for a duel?"
  18. I have to agree with this, that is the way I see "generations" of heroes, they formed as people joined in and went on quests. Level is not the common denominator here, since advancement is based on activity and participation, its more quest/date-based. So maybe we can name those groups as JB suggested: Originals, Followers, Teens, Juniors and Whelps.
  19. Thalion doesn't have a tragic past and is not in exile. He did have to come Eubric as part of his training (something about tempering his power and wisdom) which can be interpreted as a form of banishment, but he will go back home one day so there is nothing tragic about it...
  20. Items that he sells, Fabian buys automatically for half their price. Edit - Just to confirm it:
  21. "I was almost sure you were going to choose a Druids calling, given your caring nature. But what you say is true, more and more of our people are losing an interest in trees and nature and the sights and sounds of human cities are becoming more alluring. What master De'kra says is true a witch's powers are very strong, I have heard... But I just cant picture it as I also heard that witches are corrupt, and you are protective and caring, wise one. Perhaps a sage or a paladin?" Thalion stopped and thought for a moment, "Whichever path you choose, I am sure you will do so wisely. Here, for your caring; I am sure you will find it useful whatever your decision may be." Thalion smiled, bowed and gave Nerwen a Grand Tonic. Afterwords he got a drink, and on his way there, he met Nessa. "Oh! Hello young Nessa. You have nothing to apologize for or ask my forgiveness. You said and did what you thought was right and you didn't insult me in any way; I respect that. As for the proof of your reliability, you don't have to show it to me, I have witnessed it myself. You did fine in Charis and no matter who you end up questing with next, listen to your party leader and you will do just as good as you did there." That last sentence Thalion said with a smile, but then he got more serious, "Now tell me, have you been to the temple yet? Those frequent faintings of yours cannot be good..."
  22. Thalion signs his name under Quest #57: Green and Gone.
  23. "That is always good to hear! I too have only recently returned from the land of Charis where we were fortuitous enough to help stop a war between two nations. It is nice to hear you have new aspirations, as I am sure whichever path you choose you will do so wisely and be good in it. If you need any help with the training, you have but to ask. Tell me, do you already have something in mind?"
  24. In regard to q. 55, big thanks to Capt.JohnPaul for a great little, action packed quest. I am glad I was a part of it, and I would be equally glad if you QM for me/Thalion again. The party was great, especially Psy/Amma (thanks for a nice RP chance in the end), JJ - very good character development, I am interested in how it will turn out in the end, Vash and Wedge (this is our second time to quest together) standard good . Heinz didn't show up, I dont know why and it doesn't matter. As for the mistakes in calculations, don't worry about them, we all have a life outside EB so I, and I am sure others do too, truly appreciate your efforts in hosting a quest; and for that matter every QM's efforts! Again, thanks for hosting this quest and when you have another one I will be very glad to join.
  25. Still weary from the recent fights and a long trip back, Thalion made his way to the room for a rest. After a good nights sleep, he headed to the Hall and looked around to see if anyone he knew was there and to share a drink of fine elvish wine with. It took him some time, with the Hall as busy as ever, but he spotted Nerwen and Dekra having a conversation. He waited for the opportune moment then came close and greeted them, "Master Dekra, mistress Nerwen! Elen sila lumenn omentilmo. It is so good to see you both. How have you been?"
