    "Captain, before we decide where to deploy, could you perhaps tell us whose seal is on this letter and what could it be? It might, hopefully, shed some new light on this situation..." Thalion takes out and hands captain the letter they picked up in the unguarded camp.

    "That sounds unjust for the common people, and if what you say about the Croise guard's actions is true then you did the right thing, and personally, I will be happy to aid you in your struggle for freedom. Unfortunately, as my friend had already said, we found what seemed to be a Croise patrol on our journey here, who had captured and killed one of your people, Abel Bon I believe was his name. Tell us, how many men do you have, how many men have attacked you and how are the defenses arranged? Also, would you like us to see the situation in northern and eastern parts of town, if you haven't gotten the reports from there?"

    Thalion bows slightly, "Greetings captain Trent, my name is Thalion Dwinlas. We got a bit lost in your countryside so it took us a little while to get here. Please, inform us of the current situation, and tell us what can we do to help!?" Turning to Alexander, Thalion whispered, "For now we don't say anything, when situation calms down a bit we will ask them if they recognize the seal on it."

    Thalion nodded. Again, without any sort of guidance one path was as good as another... "To the left it is then as far as I am concerned, unless more people say otherwise."

    Thalion turned and gave Amma a puzzled look, "Whatever all that is supposed to mean, mistress Stigveladi!?" Turning to the party, he asked, "Again, forward of to the left?" While waiting for the reply, he tries to spot a town in one of the directions.

    Thalion nods, "True mistress Nessa. To the other path..."

    (Yet another crossroads...) Thalion thought to himself, "Shall we go forward of turn right? Again, one direction is as good as the other, so forward!?"

    Thalion nodded, "That is what I was thinking. We should go in the opposite direction of the soldiers and see where they came from. Following them will probably just lead us to their camp, and that is not what we are trying to find right now..."

    OOC: Well, that changes things a bit. Party should ignore Thalions last question, and answer to this instead: Thalion whspered to the party, "Should we inspect that large camp, or try to follow those soldiers?"

    After spotting the town, Thalion turns and whispers to the party, "Perhaps we should head to the town first and see whats what, before we stroll into another camp; last time we were lucky no one was there. This time it could be guarded or even a trap..." He looks questioningly at the others.

    Thalion nods, "Very strange language indeed. We should look for some landmark in this area... Perhaps our rangers can look for tracks to determine where to or from are these soldiers going!?" Thalion looks around in attempt to spot a town or a camp (of some sort).

    As they reach the dead end, the party turns to the previous crossroads and tries the other path.

    Thalion turned to the party, "Shall we try a right turn this time?"

    Thalion kept his voice down, "We should proceed carefully." With this said, he takes point and continues down the path before them.

    Thalion pockets the letter, and leads the party to the first crossroads, and takes the other path.

    This is actually a very good piece of advice. Duly noted!

    "So we have no consensus on the letter, either on opening or taking it with us!? I do not think it is enchanted, but rather a military plans-document, some lord's or lady's love letter, or some such correspondence. I am skeptical about opening it, but if majority wishes to, we will do it. Please name your votes, mine is NO on opening and YES on taking it with us (No matter that it is technically stealing it...)." After a short pause, Thalion continued, "Please be quick about your decisions, I think we should hurry, explore the other paths in this maze and find our employer." Meanwhile, Thalion inspects the helmet and swords and tries to appraise them (determine the WP, SP or abilities).

    "I agree, we shouldn't open the letter, who knows what it is or who it belongs too. We could however take it with us, but that is a risk I am not willing to take." Thalion thinks for a moment, "Well, we have two options; we can either sit here and wait for whoever is stationed in this camp to show up, or we can go back and try a different route? I think we should go back and try another path. Trent, the person who left the note in the Hall, has still not shown himself to us. I find that very odd..."

    Thalion looks around for anyone, and searches two crates, a barrel and a tent.

    "Yes, lets continue onward. It looks like there is something in the distance in this direction..."

    Same here. But don't stop just because I am having one too, keep recording our progress. Strange, but the moment a second crossroads appeared, I thought of Modron Maze in Planescape Torment. Can't possibly think why...

    Thalion nodded, "It is as good a heading as the other. I say straight too."

    Thalion was silent for a moment, "Since more then half of us spoke their mind, I guess we are going right." Thalion turns right at the crossroads and leads the party that way.

    "Well, since we dont have the magic compass to know the right way, we might as well try one at random, lets say right? What do the rest of you say..."

    Tough it was a very, VERY close call between CMF Elf and Haldir, I decided to vote for Haldir because he has more "elvishy" tone to me then the CMF (fits better into how I imagine elves). If the fleshy figures were out, the CMF would have been my choice.
