  1. My favorite is the 6932 Futuron 'the 200 Jet'. I still have it (disassembled for years already) from my childhood. Looking at this pictures, I think I'm going to build it again.
  2. No yar not wrong lad X-D I already saw it berfore BTW, on mocpages, it is a nice progress. and about the sentence I marked, isn't the ship completly brown? I asume you mean this: I is a bit too brown to my taste. *pirate* Arrrr Sorry for my poor linguistical skills Mr. Tiber ;-) . But I'm working on it . Anyway, I have invited the creator to our discussion via a message on his MOC-page. Lets see if he reads it and joins us here ...
  3. Yarrr, A light grey object? maybe it be the telephone... It is red because the Acheron is red and black in the movie. According to Wikipedia there are 7 different ships named "Acheron" so exactly which one are you basing yours on Mr Tiber? Yarrr, the Master and commander Acheron isn't on that bloody site...rumm... This light grey "thing" looks a lot like Mr Tibers carronade...
  4. Thats a nice little MOC with lots of details that I can use ;-) It would you be great to see you build a complete ship with the same level of detail as you always use in you MOCs. I like how the guns look, though I'm not an expert on cannons. The stairway looks also very good. I often use the same blue minifigs as crewmen/sailers on my ships. They are also usefull as french Hussars. Can I ask you how much time it took to build this MOC? Well, there's a Trekkie here and I think I never heard of a hyper-plasma-powered-universe-bender. Might I suggest that you be the first to build a Heisenberg compensator in Lego :-). Then we finally know how this looks...
  5. Should this be new MOCs or will it be allowed to participate with an already existing MOC? I guess it would preferable to have only new ones ... Since I'm building a ship right now, I would participate if there is not to much time pressure. Well, I'm a slow builder and sometimes build part of a ship and change it again after looking at it for some days. Also I need to order from time to time some special parts on Bricklink (which again takes time to arrive...). Conclusion: I would participate if we had till the end of the year (for example) to complete the MOC.
  6. I don't know so much about portugese names (my native language is Flemish), but thats a beautiful little MOC Mr. Rupi. Didn't even notice that your base plate was not big enough. Well, you solved that brilliantly. I wonder what you could do when you had plenty of bricks ...
  7. It's very normal that someone disappears from the forum for some time and then returns. I myself was on a 1 month holiday in the month of July. So it probably looked like I had disapeared. I'm not in favor of sending emails to ask for a response unless its really urgent.
  8. I don't think I have seen this ship yet. But I have been wrong before (right Mr. Tiber?). Its a bit brown to my tast but with some modifications it would be a very nice ship. It needs some yellow or white. I would be happy to do the modifications if the owner would donate it to me X-D . And it needs a pirate crew. There are some other nice ships the brickshelf folder of its creator
  9. You should read the synopsis of movies before watching them to get a general idea of what to expect. I am indifferent toward Jack. He is relatively amusing in the first movie, but strains his funny bone in the sequel. (A lot of that can be attributed to the script. Still, they're molding the character with the dialogue he spouts.) Good pirate movies can be a useful source of historical fodder. A few movies that come to mind are Master and Commander, Pirates of the Caribbean, a silly pirate movie (the submarine boat idea was stolen by POTC) starring Errol Flynn, I think? (It wasn
  10. Wow, the LV is for sure my favorite. That really an impressive robot. Ooeps, too late to vote I guess ....
  11. I also use a Pritt stick (or something similar - maybe pritt is not sold in all countries?). This is really very easy to remove (with some water) and does not damage the minifig.
  12. That incredible.... How do they make something like this ???
  13. My #1 castle theme is black falcon (I have about 70 in my collection). Second are the crusaders. Since these are not in the list I voted for the black knights.
  14. Nr 3 is my all time favorite fire station! It looks the most realistic of them all. The later ones all look a bit too futuristic for my taste.
  15. That easy: nr 2 is the best. Nr 1 is too old and primitive, the Dacta set is great on the inside only and the 2006 version doesn't make me think of a hospital. This would be better suited for firefighters.
  16. You're a real artist Mr. Phes. That's absolutely amazing!!!
  17. Nice ship. I like the cabin. Sad that it is unfinished. The rigging could be better. This guy also has a great fortress in his brickshelf directory. Has this been on display already? Has great detail and a well equiped garrison to guard it. Why does brickshelf not provide a way to contact people ... ? Would be great if we could invite the creator to the pirate forum.
  18. Wow, that's a beautiful (an big) MOC. I wish I had a big lego room like you (checked out your other brickshelf folders :-)). You really have a HUGE collection.
  19. It hard to decide between #1 and #2. After some consideration I voted for #1. How does a person get into the control towers of #3 and #4? Or is it just because of my lack of imagination :-) The old airports just look more "cosy". (Is that a correct sentence?)
  20. I don't have any ninja sets, but judging from these pictures I prefer the Samurai Stronghold. It seems to have nice details and doesn't have those "stone wall" parts that I really don't like.
  21. When I went to the cinema to watch the first POTC movie, I expected it to be real pirate movie (a bit like Cutthrout Island). I was really disappointed to see ghost-pirates and that awfull Jack Sparrow character. Must be me because a lot of other people seem to like it |-/
  22. You can always visit MCN, they have threads on how to customize. The closest you could come would be to buy one and make a resin cast. Resin isn't as sturdy as injection ABS though, which is what both Armothe and LA use. To make an injection mold you'd need tens of thousands of dollars of equipment though... ... "Tens of thousands of dollars" :'-( . I wanted to make myself a few 100 shako's for my army (they are so expensive), but I guess I will have to keep on buying them on ebay. Those guys that are making these customized helmets must have lots of money?!
  23. As far a I'm concerned, lego shouldn't bother to bring Aquaraiders to the market. Lets just forget about it and make some real pirate sets!!! Should we be happy with some old rusty shipwreck ???
  24. It's difficult to chose for me between nr 2 and nr 3. I voted for nr 3. This helmet has great detail. Does anyone have a really good idea how to make these helmets. What kind of "installation" would I require and what would it cost ?
