Personally I wouldn't add a train or plane. That would make it too crowded. Looks good as it is *y*

You're right. Why didn't I notice this :-/ . I think it will look beter with paint, but this is less destructive.

Here is my TOP 3 of the movies/series that have inspired my to start building ships and other pirate/navy stuff: 1. Hornblower Series (8 great movies!) 2. Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World 3. Cutthroat Island I must say that I really don't like POTC. Actually, I think I hate it :-) I very much want to know what your favorite series and movies are ...

The library has been updated with the names of the designers of each torso.

That's why I didn't know. I never bought that awfull ship. Maybe I should buy it for the pieces.

My general impressions is very positive. The cabin: I think you really integrated the cabin very well in the ship. This is often a problem on many ships I see. Colors: The colors go well together, however I might have used another color for the gun ports to get some contrast. Maybe use black for these (and these are not too expensive on BL). However, I'm not 100% sure this will be better :-) ... Size: I like the size. 6 mid-hull sections is a lot. Maybe I might buy 1 more for the ship that I'm building (I have currently 5 mid-hull sections). Howmuch guns will the ship have when it is finished? The size of your pictures is actually much better now. Before It would take a very long time for me to view your picts (and I have a fast ADSL internet connection). Did you use part from your other ships to build this one or are you using other parts? Why could you only finish half of the ship? Lack of time or bricks? I love to see some more pictures when you progress.

The Islanders are attacking a band of pirates headed by a French Man who considers himself to be the reincarnation of Napoleon Bonaparte. :-D They know he's crazy, but he takes in one hefty sum of booty! Sorry for not making that clear. Now I'm shocked! Did Napoleon Bonaparte die ???

There is a separate pirates forum, so why not a separate Star Wars forum. I guess there are more Star Wars fans than pirate fans. And the number will grow since LEGO still has a licence for some years.... I think it would be a smart move for the future of the EB forum. I vote YES!

Beautiful MOCs. I love the details they have. These would fit really well in any medieval town.

Couple of Musical Minifigs.

Some nice guitars can be found here or here. Here you can see a real band in action (picture is a bit big): -

Here is an example of how to make a drumset: With some improvements, this could really look good. -
Cool. Now I just have to find where on ebay I can buy these... Hope I don't need to buy an ipod with them.

That looks frightning real ...

Maybe it is best to have new submissions in the library and keep this threat for all other discussions. I will update the first topic of the library with links for each new submission so we keep a good overview. For each design I'm still going to put the name of the author (when it is someone on the forum). Is it? From which set is this fig Mr Tiber?
-
Ohh, that's really great. Thanks Mr. Phes!

I did a search of the Pirate Forum and of brickshelf for designs that could be used in the pirate world. But this is just the starting point. I have some more designs on my pc that I still have to convert to jpg and put them on the library and I will do some more searching... How could I forget my own band and hussar :-$. They are added to the library now. Thanks oo7.

If your are such a lego decal fan, then you must visite the LIBRARY pirate torso/decal/sticker designs. B.

The great pirate torso LIBRARY Welcome to the biggest pirate torso library on the internet ! The library is providing links to all the great torso designs that have been posted in the pirate forum. Some others have been found elsewhere (main EB forum, brickshelf, ...) and put into the library. Just post your torso/sticker/decal designs in the our minifig customization workshop and we'll make sure it gets added to the library. If you want to try making a torso design yourself, have a look at our how I make torsos in MS Paint tutorial. Nice! Where did you get the afro hear ? Is this in some set or did you make it yourself? B.

Very interesting, Mr. Bonaparte. I can't help but see a resemblence between the official Sail Barge and the top of the CSS Virginia posted above. Perhaps a rebuild is in order? ;-) Maybe someone with this sail barge could attempt to make an ironclad from this sailbarge. ok so who has a sailbarge? I'm going to buy a sail barge because I really like the set (has great pieces and figs) but I don't think I'll sacrifice it to build another ironclad. I also have build the USS Monitor. Will try to make some pictures soon and put them on the forum. This is a picture of the real monitor: B.
-
That's a good question... Can't tell right now because I only painted helmets and parrots :-) Next time I do some painting on lego, I will add some bricks to test and test the strength of my paint. B.
-
It looks like a real pirate tower. The colors go well together. I like the way you used the rigging. BUT .... I think the white beard is a fake because the guy has black eyebrows *sweet*
-
Well, these new sets have a lot of mini-figs. They will make it easier to build armies! Especially the landingcraft has 5 figs!! I wish there was also a battle pack with stormtroopers or clonetroopers ... The at-st looks good, but I hope they add 2 pilots iso 1. B.

It's a beautiful little set indeed and it has 2 imperials soldiers and 1 sailor. You modifications make it look even better. This set is very usefull as an outpost to a bigger fortress... Well, i own one still from my childhood (received it as a birthday gift). Seeing yours makes me wanna build it again (the pieces are spread through my collection). Will you put some more pictures when you finish working on it? B.
