Capn, I have made lots of custom figs and use PRITT. It will not damage the original print of the minifig in any way and you can remove it easily with some water. You just print the decal, use some scissors to cut it out, apply the Pritt to the decal, put it on the fig. If you want to make some more advanced designs you can take a look at my pope tutorial.

I still haven't bought my riffles. I prefer the old ones, but they are not available in the right quantity on BL. Maybe I will buy new ones for my new English army and use the old ones for my French army. But I must say that this thread has been very informative.

The older guns have a smooth indentation in the rifle butt, the newer ones have a triangle cut out each side. Some pics are in the beginning of this thread.

Do you know a good alternative for the ladders?

The color scheme is original and the colors go well together. This ship has a lot of cannons for its size (which I like!). I don't like those cannons that can be used on both sides of the ship. That's not very realistic. With some sails this ship will look better...

That was also my first thought when I saw this ship :) He should use some of the bricks from the aft castle to make the middle of the ship a bit higher. The red in the sails doesn't go very well with the rest of the ship.

It looks a bit too brown for my taste. But maybe this is normal for a medieval ship?

I fully agree with this! Why? Lego is of course different that Playmo because Lego can be used for MOC-ing. But I think that many of the sales for both companies comes from parents, grandmother, grandfather that buy toys from their kids, grandkids, ... I noticed from my collegues and familie that they don't give it much thoughts when they buy toys. If the box looks good, they don't care if its Lego or Playmo. They only consider the theme (city, castle,...).

My god, that an incredible Lego building! I wonder if there are Lego trains inside...

Very funny :-D This would be a useful little MOC in any Lego town. Of course the ice-man should be replaced....

I think the Lego management should be replaced by the management from Playmobil :-D We would see some great new themes (maybe even a Lego Roman theme!) and we get again pirates, classic castle,....

That's a very nice review! What I like about this ship are the large hull pieces. But it looks a bit unfinished. Also the rigging is unrealistic. I voted 4.

By a regiment I mean 20 line infantry (Imperial Soldiers) and 1 officer. I give them a regimental flag and an eagle. Of course a real regiment had more than 20 soldiers, but these are Lego regiments ;-)

Mmmmmm, a lot..... But I don't care :-D I will soon add 2 more regiments of imperial guards. The eagles are painted, but the paint is not dry yet.
