Hello, I'm Bonaparte (not my real name of course :-D ). I live in Flanders (Belgium), just became 30 and work since 1998 for Alcatel-Lucent as an ICT engineer. Collector of old timers (Porsche) and a DJ at numerous parties for more than 15 years. Having played with Lego since I was a little boy, I stopped for some years in the '90's. My return to Lego started with Star Wars, but today I buy mostly pirates and castle. I have always combined my love for history with Lego. That's why I started building my Napoleonic army. Having discovered this forum by accident in june '06, I wanted to show my army but never left afterwards ;-)

I'm happy to hear that you guys also feel the need to start doing some indexing of the MOCs in the pirate forum. It would be great to not only include ships, but also other MOCs (fortresses, anchors, canons) like Aaron suggested. But we have to start somewhere, so the ships might by a good starting point. I would love to hear the options of Evil Willy (pirate mod) and Mr. Phes on this before we start organising the work. If we work on this with a few people, this will not be such a tough job to do.

That's your best ship so far Mr. ZCerberus. Very original design. You must have a lot of time or getting some help :) Your building speed is really amazing! And the quality of your MOCs is very high.

We should think a bit about the best way to present the MOC ships. Maybe by removing the name of the ship and builder, we could do it like this example: By doing it this way, you don't lose the overview. What do you guys think?

Indeed Mr. Tiber, an index using the brickshelf thumbnails so you can see a small picture of each ship which is a link to the gallery.

It seems that Mr. oDDerFisken appreciates the idea. Having this topic would enhance the pirate forum a lot in my humble opinion. By just having 1 topic, an overview is possible of all the ships in the forum with a nice thumbnail. This work will have to be done anyway if there ever comes a pirate portal site. What is the opinion of Mr. Phes and Evil Willy? I would be willing to do part of the work of course. If oo7 would do this for the ships in this thread, I would be willing to do the rest of the ships in the Pirate MOC forum! Then we can combine everything in a "Pirate MOC ships topic" which is maintained whenever a new ship is posted.

That a very good camera Mr. Phes. Congratulations! I'm planning to buy a new camera myself and the Canon EOS 400D is still on my list, but maybe its a bit expensive for an amateur like me. EDIT: Just imagine how much Lego you could buy for the price of the camera :-D

Very nice little ship Mr. oDDerFisken. Red seem to be popular color these days in MOC ships :) Looking good, I especially like the captains cabin.

This is the first time I post in this thread, but that doesn't mean I have not been following it. It's great to be able to follow how you made this ship Lord ZCerberus. Those sails look very realistic. Same goes for the rigging. Colors are good, lots of detail. Headline news I would say *y*

This picture contains some Mumakils made with the Lego elephant. The best ones I have seen so far.

A simple search through the the members database shows that the user MonkeyBosun is not part of the Bad Kids group. So he was not banned from the forum Sir Norrington! How could someone who can build such a nice fortress ever be banned ;-).
