Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
Tom Jurassic replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really like the discussion you have going here, guys. From the Mattel leaks, the Mosasaurus is clearly still another big player in this game as their toy of it looks massive. I think we have chances of a LEGO one, although to be honest with you, I think the most likely new mould is the Carnotaurus. Triceratops appears in this film so we will definitely see another one of them. It sat out the JW line, so I would be very surprised if we do not get one here. I don't want to spoil much for you guys, but I am certain the Indoraptor is in that set described as an enclosure with a raptor. You can PM me for an explanation. As for Stgyi - I think it's possible, as they may use a raptor body and a new head, similar to the Dilo. One thing I was considering - we have an un-listed Licensed D2C next year, and people are assuming it's HP. Could it actually be JP?- 1,290 replies

Very fair point, mate. Did you see the Apatosaur mould in the LEGO JW game? That seemed slightly smaller than a Brachiosaur - maybe more feasible too.- 1,290 replies

Smaug is a very good point actually. I would believe a Brachio/Apatosaur is a possibility, but not a likelihood. However, it all depends. 2018 is also the 25th Anniversary of Jurassic Park, so perhaps if the JW sets sell well, we may see a Store-Exclusive JP set. Who knows what LEGO have planned.- 1,290 replies

Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
Tom Jurassic replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I can confirm for you both that this film has a significantly larger cast - with a mixture of both main and supporting characters. Of the top of my head, we should be seeing screen-time for around at least 8 main characters. I do, however, feel that the statement about Marvel/DC still applies. We know LEGO's revenue saw a drop - so sadly, products will probably feel the brunt of that. Whilst I hope for new dino moulds, I think this cost factor may also prohibit that. I do agree that the Ninajgo/LEGO Batman sets are still high quality - but it always seems to go that way when they are LEGO's own licenses. Plus, we know Star Wars has always been the love-child - numerous repeat models still sell in that line. I hope my worries are put to rest, and we get some awesome products. From all the film insight I have, we have some really cool sequences which would make for incredible toys. The ball is, however, in LEGO's park now - and only time will tell what we get.- 1,290 replies

I reckon we have good bets with the vehicles. The Unimogs, etc are all in quite military-esque tones. One description seems to confirm the Unimog Troop Transport variant. As for minifigs - don't hold your breath. Infinity War figures were lax, so I don't expect better here.- 1,290 replies

Quite possibly. I hope we see new moulds. It's high-time in my opinion. What we have heard, however, unfortunately suggests otherwise.- 1,290 replies

Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion

I would like to hope so. The Barynoyx and the Carnotaurus are the most prominent. I'm a big part of the Jurassic community, and EVERYONE is excited for the Carnotaurus so I would be incredibly surprised if we don't get one - but it all comes down to cost. The fact that Infinity War - Marvel's biggest film yet, has poor minifigure choices and other components make me question how much will be invested in new pieces in this line. I mean, if you've seen the leaks, you know that we are getting an SPOILER Indoraptor SPOILER - so that will be one mould for sure. The rest therefore becomes questionable as to whether they would do an other new moulds.- 1,290 replies

I'm just super-harsh with Marvel figs as they are my favs The reason I brought up the concept art is because I believe he is based off it - hence why he is dark blue and not black :)- 3,962 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion

Legs and Boots could be done. We've had generic leg-prints for some characters - i.e. did Killmonger need printed legs? No. Whilst they still existed in City sets, it's still an example of a simple pattern receiving a print. Cap is an iconic character, and since his arm printing was avoided despite the fact the concept art he is based on had rolled-up sleeves, it would be nice to atleast get some leg attention. Out of anyone, this is most likely to be Cap's last outing afterall. As for your other question, Falconfan is right - same hair as used before.- 3,962 replies

Thank you so much Mike! Very grateful to be part of a forum which does this every year. I remember a couple of years back when I joined I was incredibly nervous about reaching out to other fans - but joining EB has actually been one of the best decisions I've made. Good luck everyone else, and a Merry Christmas from us in the UK.

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
Tom Jurassic replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really like the figures - but all of them get minor nitpicks from me - the biggest of which is the lack of dual moulded legs on the Iron Spider suit, and the lack of leg print for Cap AGAIN. All of our MCU Spiderman figures up til now have had super-detailed dual moulded legs, so to stop them now makes the design look less appealing then the initial ones. And the lack of leg-print on Captain America is aggravating considering the fact that we are nearing a time where we won't get these characters again - and they are still not fully detailed. Some of the figures here look great - like Strange's new hairmould for example. But, this is the biggest Marvel event ever, so in my opinion, LEGO could have done it a lot more justice. I don't know why Marvel minifigures continue to remain the unloved child when it comes to the films - look at the amount of print we get in some of the non-film sets at times!- 3,962 replies
