While everyone else is going big for SHIPtember, I'm building small! My second NeoClassic Space build, a Power Loader style utility mech... the ALPHA-1 Grappler. Thanks for looking, hope you like it - feedback and comments welcome!

Awesome work! I love the style and colour blocking, the hints of lime green work well! I'm a huge fan of the blacktorn revival - You should add these to the flickr groups: http://www.flickr.com/groups/blacktron/ http://www.flickr.com/groups/blacktron3/

Very cool! Looks like something from a not too distant future! - Awesome work on the articulation

Paint job looks great - nice work!

love the lighting and the water technique. great stuff!

Loving the idea of building out a Blacktron army! - This is looking good, very original, yet still Blacktron Looks live you've found some torso's... maybe for the next wave of troops this decal could come in handy: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21805674@N04/4585254141/

Interesting question... I always loved the blue spacemen and placed them at the top of my ranks. Thinking back on it I'm sure this was becasue blue was one of my favourite colours, and I think I considered them "exclusive" as I only ever had 1 or 2 in my collection! There's a similar post in the Neo Classic Space flickr group focusing on space minifig uniform colors: http://www.flickr.com/groups/neoclassicspace/discuss/72157624715820247/

Stepping away from Blacktron 3 and trying my hand at Neo Classic Space. I've always loved the smaller "scooters" and other various "patrol craft" type sets (885,891,1557,6803) from the classic space range. Felt it was finally time to build something along those lines... the XT-1 Surface Scooter. Thanks for looking, hope you like it - feedback and comments welcome!

slacker int replied to Piratedave84's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects

Eurobricks' 3rd LDD RCB
slacker int replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I can't believe we're done! It looks fantastic, congrats to all the other builders. It has been so fun watching this grow over the past months, I too hope to get involved again with future builds. Following up on the post by Calabar... this is the initial idea i was working with when i began work on the hangar: (i know some of the colours aren't available ) hangar.lxf -
Eurobricks' 3rd LDD RCB
slacker int replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Excited to see the progress... It's like waiting for christmas! Being one of the early contributors im sitting in suspense to see where others are taking the model! Like Captain Tamamono I too had the same "what do i do in this instance" reaction on turn 3. I opted to start construction of some interior details of the hangar on the 'big blue pad' but wasn't entirely sure how we would go about enclosing the hangar without it looking simply like a big ol' gray or blue shape. I was originally designing it with the thought of leaving the back side open for play access much like the original classic space structures... maybe including some type of hinging roof? Any thoughts? -
Fantastic work! Near future stuff like this really impresses me... it's scI-fi yet still seems 100% believable. checked it out on flickr to see all the great detailing, nice work on both the sleek clean exterior and detailed interior. very impressive! welcome to EB

Excellent creation. I just love the building renovation scene... I always feel that scenes like that capture the true life of a real city. The various techniques used to provide detail to the buildings are also well done. Being from Canada I've only visited Brussels once, but this do seem familiar! great work adam

Looking really good frogstudio. I can see this fitting in nicely with the current lego city offerings. Only suggestions i have would be to include some extra minor details: Perhaps some pylons / traffic cones or some type of road barricades that could be stored in the truck? Also maybe add some antennas or some form of ariels? Try adding some telescopic lights that can be raised to provide additional light? And maybe try including a hose reel somewhere? hope to see it in real bricks cheers, adam

These are very cool and clever! They're so simple yet still so easily recognizable as steampunk. would love to see more... I can see this catching on.

Vote for your favourite Category B entries
slacker int replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great work everyone! I found this category was a harder voting decision than category A... 1) Nurse, Lifeguard & Fisherman Entry (Build by Danchurch) - 1 point 12) Forestman, Witch & Elf Entry (Build by KristofBD) - 1 point 26) Diver, Pharaoh & Fisherman Entry (Build by Rolli) - 1 point -

Great work, I always love seeing your creations. Your attention to detail and "realism" while retaining play value is always nice to see, and this is no exception. nothing runs like a deere!

Removing Metallic Colors?
slacker int replied to kevin1990's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Not sure if this is what you're getting at, but much like acetone or thinner I know Brasso can be used to remove markings and print on elements. More info can be found at http://www.fineclonier.com/Decal_Application.pdf adam -
It's always nice to see brick-built creations come to form from the digital versions they were designed in. 7 wide is a nice scale and definitely has its difficulties to work in, so well done! I can just never figure out why so many people on eurobricks insist that the driver should be on the right hand side

Amazing work on this! Seeing the overhead shots of the entire airport its hard to believe how you have managed to include all those fabulous interior details. The large investment of elements truly paid off! And as mentioned previously, the storyline really takes it to another level! great job

love this. Great colour blocking and design. So clean and simple yet still complex. (does that make sense?) nice work
