  1. Perfect, thanks for taking the time! :) 66 studs equals 46,4 cm (18,3 inches) so if you rounded it up there should be a few cm to spare. Awesome!
  2. Can someone confirm the dimensions of this please? I need both the length from the wall (assuming it's on a shelf against the wall) to the front side (facing the viewer) of the stand. I think 2mpaired said this was 19"? And also the length from the back of the model to the front side of the stand. Basically I want to know what size of shelf I need to display it in a corner. Thanks! :)
  3. Not sure about the blue one, I don’t think it’s Star Wars (or it’s an obscure ship). But the red one is 9497 - Republic Striker-class Starfighter.
  4. Assuming I could get about 2000 dollars for a 100% complete (unbuilt) Aggessor, should I sell it or use it for parts?
  5. Awesome as usual!
  6. All of them are awesome, but each have their own style. For me it's like this: Aggressor (~15.3k pieces) Pros: Detailed interior, playability Cons: More studs on the exterior (depending what you prefer; also I've seen mods to make it smoother), I've heard that some elements are hard to build compared to some of the others (don’t know about all of them) Monarch (11.3k pieces) Pros: Fewer pieces, tiled exterior Cons: Drooping, might be a bit more fragile than others (correct me if I'm wrong) Intimidator (19.5k pieces) Pros: Huge (about 30 cm / 12 inches bigger than the second), more detailed Cons: Huge (do you have room for it?), most pieces with the Eviscerator at a close second, a bit less accurate in my humble opinion (mainly that the shield generators are too close to each other, that bugs me) Eviscerator (19.2k pieces) Pros: Sturdy, modular (for easier moving), the most accurate looking one (again, IMHO, feel free to disagree) Cons: Many pieces, heavy for its size (which is due to many pieces being put on keeping the internal structure sturdy)
  7. What does it for me is the stability of the ship, and the possibility to easily take apart the modules in order to transport it. That's awesome in my opinion. Of course, Raskolnikovs and Onecases MOCs are also incredible - the former because it has a detailed interior, and the latter because it does it with way fewer pieces. I don't think you can go wrong with either version, but I feel this one is for me. Now can people please stop making better and better Star Destroyers? I bought all the pieces for the Agressor - then the Monarch came along and I started buying some pieces for that - now I'm abandoning that project to go for this one.
  8. I hope TLG won't interfere too much. Removing copyrighted MOCs is alright to me, since there are better forums for that. They really need to fix their servers though. The site is slow as crap, and the Want/Buy searching often doesn't work at all.
  9. Thanks for the answers! Sounds almost too good to be true. If it isn't too much trouble though, could you please measure the length between one of the sides and the far end of the stand (so I know what shelf depth I need)? :) Also, have you noticed any drooping over time? It seems to be pretty common with these huge models.
  10. This is amazing! I love that you went for the studless look. A couple of questions though? What are the dimensions? I calculated that 148 studs long should be ~ 118 cm / 46,5 inches. But what about width and height (and approximate weight)? I'm curious because I need to know if it'll fit on top of my half bookcase. :) How sturdy would you rate it? How hard would it be for the average joe to build it? In any case, awesome job. :)
  11. Interesting! By the way, any update regarding the Bomber? :)
  12. Thanks a lot for the info! And spending your first post (maybe even signing up) just to tell me. :D Still 5,5 isn't so bad. A shelf made for 10 kg should have no problems then.
  13. Does this really only weigh 4 kg (~9 lbs)? I know it has a lot of small pieces, but it still seems very light for over 7000 pieces. Can anyone confirm? I need to know if it'll be safe to have on a wall shelf. :) Thanks!
  14. Oooh! Haven't built mine yet. Will that include an updated build in general? Will I get an updated manual if I already purchased the old one? PS. What are the approximate dimensions for the finished AT-AT? Need to know what size a shelf I need. :)
  15. For me I have a really hard time choosing between them. All are 10/10 MOCs, but each have their pros and cons. Raskolnikov's has an interior (plus I love its somewhat bulky build) but is heavy, uses more parts, and has a lot of studs (which I don't love, but to each his/her own), Onecase's is more proportional and accurate to the original model (correct me if I'm wrong), but is a lot bigger. This one seems to be a pretty sweet spot. So much greebling with only 7000 pieces! But to me it's all up to the build stability and how easy it is to build. :) (if no instructions will be available in the next months I think I'll go with Onecase's model though. I NEED a big ISD-model in my man cave! :D)
  16. I fully agree, and only 7000 bricks? I need the instructions! :D
  17. I would assume goods and services, since you're paying for... well, goods or services, and not a gift for friends/family.
  18. Do anyone have the dimensions for this? And weight if possible. :)
  19. To you who've built this beast - can you do me a big favor and measure the dimensions between the outer side of the stands one of the sides? I need to know how deep a shelf I need in order to safely display it (with a few centimeter margin at least). Thanks! :) Edit: If you also happen to know the approximate weight that'd be helpful too, but I understand it's kinda hard to check.
  20. Yeah, I don't like it. It's a cool model for sure, and I've got nothing but respect for the designer. But I'll build Onecase's Monarch instead. For me, it has way too many visible studs (which isn't a surprise considering TLG would never try to hide their own trademark), too big gaps, and just can't compare to the bigger and more detailed MOCs out there. Plus IMHO it's kind of a cheap move to only include 2 no-name minifigs in such an expensive set.
  21. Seeing this new Star Destroyer only made me respect Onecase and Raskolnikov even more. I don't mean any disrespect towards TLG but this new ISD... Not for me. I'll probably buy one though and scrap it for pieces to build the Monarch. :D
  22. Got to bump this. Anyone found a decent solution yet? From Sweden here. I've been searching frantically for a display cabinet that's mostly glass, and it seems fricking IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. All IKEA solutions have either wooden sides, so you can't see the models unless from the front, or thick wooden borders for the glass doors. I assume it's because it's cheaper and safer to transport. The only exceptions are Milsbo and Detolf but both are too narrow. I'd prefer something that's at least 95 cm wide. But there's literally no options. There are some semi-shady business solutions out there, where you can buy a display cabinet meant for stores and museums. But they are at least $1500 and weigh like 100 kg. Trying to get that into my apartment would likely end in a catastrophe.
  23. He means ETA as in Estimated Time of Arrival. As in how much longer until the instructions are done. :) Kinda funny misunderstanding though. :D PS. I can’t wait either. This is awesome!
  24. FML, I bought them for like 30 bucks a piece. :') But happy for you others!
