  1. Was just going to post that Steve, just unbelievable news out of Lego. Why do we need 3 Taj Mahals? I will get it to keep going on the series but so disappointed. I am looking forward more to Camp Nou than this thing. Boo Lego!
  2. Architecture is usually revealed the same time as other January 1 sets. However, since no new sets were released in January of 2021, there was no announcement. We are now into May basically and still no new announcement. The most we have is a placeholder for a set that is August 1. It is super disappointing. It was said that the designer for the Colosseum is the designer for Architecture, so since that came out that is why, but I kind of call BS on that. The Colosseum design was probably done at least 6-8 months before release, so what has the designer been doing in the meantime because we know it is NOT designing Architecture sets. The line actually may be dead, we really don't know. The original designer who created the series was Adam Reed Tucker who left Lego and started his own company (Atom Bricks). I would say if Adam was still around, we would have more buildings vs landmarks...in any case, you can probably sense my frustration in this post, but I really would like to see this line continued and tired of nothing in 2021 yet.
  3. Amen to all of this, couldn't have said it better.
  4. Aliander, welcome...I get both sides here. You are new as we all once were so you get treated a bit new until your info pays off. On the other hand, I see that you have info and want to pass it along so kudos. All that said, we usually do say where the rumors came from if we know. Sounds like you might have a source and we don't need a name, but is this source working for TLG? How firm would you say the Seattle skyline information is? I hope you are right, just as much as I would like to see something new like a Forbidden City building just to change things up. Hopefully we will get news soon of something in this line.
  5. My apologies, looks like it is just The Gherkin and it is not a knock off but a Bright Bricks creation: Unofficial LEGO Architecture Set Guide - BRICK ARCHITECT I know Wange does a Taipei 101
  6. My top 3 are Taipei 101, The Shard and The Gherkin...someday I hope. I know you can get knockoffs of each and someday I may resort to that if I am desperate enough but I am still hoping Lego comes through.
  7. Definitely fake, the best rumor is the $129.99 USD set for August. That is in the 1000-2000 piece range.
  8. That's the problem then, get a different designer, look at all the MOC's out there and work out some kind of deal with the creator, something...Lego is dropping the ball.
  9. The Colosseum isn't in the Architecture line though. We usually get 2 skylines every January, this year nothing. Looks like nothing but a rumor of a possible set in August. The Colosseum is ok, giant tan dog dish really, I felt it was not worth the cost. I will take the OT stadium over the Colosseum myself. To each their own.
  10. Wow, both the Iowa and Missouri look so great, have you sent any pics of these to the military? I bet they would love it. Amazing job!
  11. I loved building OT so will pick this up, for me it isn't about the actual place, just the fact that they are making stadiums. I have a lot of stadiums come to mind from all over the world they can do, but this line of builds is exciting to me, especially since it seems Architecture is now a dead line.
  12. I just received mine yesterday after ordering day 1 and being told they were out of stock. I would say just be patient, they are making more, just not very quickly.
  13. I guess I will hold off getting the Police Station set and the two botanicals as I believe you are correct. The main problem is they allow you to buy then tell you these two sets are out of stock? Did they only make 1000 sets to rollout? Just crazy. Someone in supply chain needs to be replaced.
  14. I got an email later in the day saying these two sets were out of stock but they have my order and as soon as they can, will get them to me. I figure March might be about right, not sure what is going on with Lego but their supply chain is not working well. I get the virus and all but to be this out of service seems odd when I can pretty much get anything else out there but these products. Oh well, if they don't ship soon that is ok, I hope to have my tax return by then which will make the purchase hurt a lot less on my wallet.
  15. Ordered this morning, did not get the pagoda nor the lantern with my order which disappoints me, instead I get a skating rink. I assume they ran out of the Ideas car they were supposed to have. Both are on backorder but that is alright. Lunar New Year is Feb 12, I hope they come by then.
  16. There is a Lego Architecture group on FB, and someone posted a new magnet which looks to be a piece of a temple in the Forbidden City. Speculation then led to maybe this temple will be the next in the line since there is a Statue of Liberty magnet as well as some others that tie into the Architecture line. It does have Architecture like nameplates: Forbidden City Magnet Build 854088 | Miscellaneous | Buy online at the Official LEGO® Shop US No idea if this is true, but would be at least something other than previously done models if it is, thank goodness.
  17. Is this going to be in the US on the free giveaways? I am kind of surprised they didn't wait until Feb 12 to sell them.
  18. I see there are a few articles written now about the lack of information on Architecture on different sites. No one seems to know what is going on with the lack of sets.
  19. August? wow, that's kind of far away, and I really like the whole name change to Tourist Attractions.
  20. So we have traditionally posted a topic for each year but it seems we can just have one overall thread for the line and just keep adding like many other threads. To date, there have been no rumors, leaks or anything for 2021. Last year we knew by November 6 what was coming on January 1 with two skylines. I can't help but wonder what is going on with this line and if it is going to continue or not?
  21. I really like these. They remind me of the same style they did the birds in from Ideas a while back. Now we have the flora and the fauna. I guess I will have to find a cheap vase for the flowers. Thanks for posting this.
  22. Still no Architecture rumors or leaks...pretty much everything but the modular set and this line have been leaked from what I can tell.
  23. I follow a couple "leakers" on Instagram and nothing has leaked on Architecture at all. Lots of other stuff, SW, MineCraft, Creator city, etc but zip, nada on this line. I guess if it is over, it is over, had a good run.
  24. I agree, I would like to see this as a bigger building. It can gain a lot of detail that way. That aside, the main problem we have with Lego Ideas is that they will never do anything for the Architecture line. Ideas is for any build outside of the normal themes. Since we have an Architecture theme, you will never see a submission made for that line. Lego does what every other manufacturer does and has ideas in the pipeline for 3 and 5 years down the road. They came up with CUUSOO, now Ideas, as a way to promote AFOL ideas as long as it doesn't cost them much. This also churns the Define side of the process so there is always something there should they need to rely on what to do for the future, even if it was an AFOL idea. The first set was the Shinkai 6500 submarine and was exclusive to Japan. Now we have many Ideas sets but if you really look at all these sets, you won't see anything in a theme that already existed. That plus once you submit your idea, it's now the property of Lego for 3 years when you could have put it on Rebrickable.
  25. Lucarex - I have to agree with you. JintaiZ - what set is 21053?
