Woow, so many new things to discuss about! Dragon Bolt is a box set -whoops, we can't say that anymore- larger set afterall. A 13 Euro set would resulted into some half-finished..thing. He looks one of the best 2013 sets, by far- looks like Lego learned some things about making dragons thanks to Ninjago (never got a set, but those dragons do look well made). I'm really impressed at how big he looks and how looong that tail is. The wings use Ninjago/Speeda Demon giant katana, I hope they aren't in gold because that would ruin his colour scheme- trans yellow peraphs? Jet Rocka looks crazy. It's a big, mean jetpack with a pair of huge boosters.The tr. (bright, I guess) green cockpit looks really cool, and I like the ROCKA name decoration. The jetpack is piloted by Winter Rocka in the video, so we have no idea how his form in the set is going to look like. I hope he doesn't look too "nerfed" like some Bionicle pilots were- if possible, I'd like to buy Jet Rocka and skip Winter Rocka (I can BL his sword and I don't care for his shield). So the Villains (except Dragon Bolt, maybe) are "swarm sets". Well, 7 creatures alone couldn't threaten HF, and since the pods landed in planets presumably inhabitated by dozens of the target creatures.. Surge's weapon pieces don't look tr. yellow, rather a mix of blue and yellow like Voltix's weapons. I'd be happy if this were the case, so there can be greater consistency in the colour of HF lightning. Anyway, I'm happy we finally get to see his helmet, and I can say they did a great job in keeping the elongated look of his 1.0 helmet. I hope his wings are silver, so we get Furno's shield in another metallic colour. Anyway, awesome set. Aquagon really looks like a 9 Euro set. His legs look short and simplistic (are those yellow bones I see on the lower legs?) and he/she (can be either, I guess) doesn't look too complex- still a lot better than Scarox, anyway. I can't make anything out of the weapon(s). I spot more tr. blue cladding, which surely can't be a bad thing. So yeah, Summer pretty much puts Winter to shame and seems to be on par with Breakout.

More like Lego likes this trope.I never considered the idea Dragon Bolt could be a large set before, but it does make sense. A dragon essentially has six limbs+a tail, and with the average piece number of a 13 Euro set that is next to impossible to pull off- unless you use tricks like one piece wings (see Waspix). But Dragon Bolt's wings look fairly complex, so..

If Laval and Cragger are indicative, I think that all 6 figures will use the Super Heroes/BP chest armour. It's a nice, smooth surface, the ideal candidate piece to print the Chi crystal pattern on. I wish one of the sets used the Breakout body plate. It's my favourite HF torso armour, but it's tragically ignored in this year's HF sets.

We haven't seen Aquagon yet, that could be a small set. I just realized Frost Beast's left hand uses a white Savage Planet paw and tr. light/medium (?) blue SP claws with clips. Basically, Core Hunter's shoulders and back armouring. Ice!Pyrox indeed. As for Dragon Bolt's wings, they look kind of skeletal. But from a budget-constrained 13 Euro set, you kind of have to except it I guess.

Oh my, you're right! Surge's got a big lightning tr. yellow broadsword...epic.It looks like it's made of two pieces- two Rocka blades, like Laval's sword? A fourth colour for the Rocka blade would be awesome. Is it me or Rocka's jet turns into a jetpack? Ha, I used to do something like that with Toa Ignika's flying board! Dragon Bolt looks rather serpentine, much like a chinese dragon. I support this. From the bag shapes it looks like they're all 13 Euro sets except Rocka (well, duh) and Evo.E EDIT: looking at it again, Surge's weapon pieces look more similar to Pyrox's flames. I'm not going to say "I knew it", but....

I'm not sure, but Laval does get a lot of spotlight. The Lion Clan is obviously the most important good guy group (while the Crocodiles are the main villains), and he seems their prince (prince=hero).

Thanks for the review! Still torn whether he's worth keeping or not (or even buying). He's not bad past the boring weapons, and he could look vastly better , but even then Breakout Bulk outclasses him to the point it's kind of depressing.I can say, though- I really like the head on its own, without the visor. I can't help but think it would look better on Bruizer than on Bulk himself...

I never posted here, funny. Anyway, this wave has some cool sets. I'm definitely getting Kai's Fire Mech, great value, nice mech and great minifigs. Garmatron is really tempting me too.. I love the Stone Army. They look so Japanese. General Kozu's head is awesome, it looks like a Kabuki actor's painted face.

I agree, I can mostly visualize how Nex would look (tr.bright green visor+cladding, maybe some white, etc..), but Stringer made (makes) me really curious (would he keep his trademark mouthguard of would he lose it? Orange or blue?). If this list is true, Jet Rocka better be bloody awesome to make up for Nex's and Stringer's absence. For some reason I keep thinking of something along the lines of Aero Booster...

I just realized- does Ewar have the same (minfig) head as Eglor? They share the orange lens pattern (goggles, I guess).

Disappointing list so far, for the lack of Nex/Stringer and Rocka's unneccessary return. But- Remember when we knew about Speeda Demon almost a week after the other set pics came up, and he existed as a rumour for months, until a catalogue pic of him came up?

I wouldn't say our hopes are lost yet. Someone is surely going to post missing themes like Super Heroes, Lone Ranger, Summer wave Chima (the pics were on Brickshelf but, of course, they got deleted). And I won't believe for a second SW gets only 2 sets. Oh and Cirkit, thanks a lot! I did my best to remain faithful to Stringer's 2010 weapon- I always thought it was very cool looking. I was inspired by Jang's Stringer 2.0 in using Onua Mistika's shield. wonder how hard making Bulk's gun would be..

Pictures are gone- they shouldn't have been posted there in the first place: Brickshelf deletes leaked images almost on sight. Since some got an hold of the catalogue (LOTR, City, Castle and others are up on Flickr) I guess it won't be long till pics of Summer sets show up for all themes (hopefully, maybe, HF and Chima constraction sets too..). Last year we got videos.

Since we were talking about guns.. I haven't decided what to do with Bulk's boring weapons yet (revamp? Total replacement?), but if Stringer's weapon(s?) turn out to suck I'm darn sure what I'll replace it/them with:

That, and that type of sleeveless robe seems kind of popular among certain Chima citizens (aristocrats? Priests?). So the "It's a dress! FEMALE!" argument can be put to rest. And his head does have some blue after all. Totally unrelated, but since we're missing a fifth Raven I'd like to see a female one in Summer.

As of now he's done most of them, only Breez, Bruizer (for great alliteration justice!) and Pyrox are missing. Not to be too critical, but Scarox is probably the worst post-new building system set yet. I'm not even sure if I'll buy him, he needs a severe revamp and I already have most of the pieces needed to make it. The other sets are good, Rocka and Ogrum look better than ever, Furno looks great as always and Bulk's boring weapons are boring as usual.

Great review! Yup, I'm even more sure his head is tr. neon green now. Seems like they're following the 4 colours the Glatorian head came in after all, which makes sense really. The torso build is simple but fairly clever, I think. His back is butt-ugly, but oh well. Man, that helmet is indeed ugly without the visor. The eyes should have been bigger.. the resemblance to his classic helmet is even more obvious IRL, however, and that is great. The cape is attached is an unique way that makes its reuse on other figures kind of challenging, but surely I'll find a way out.. The shield halves are beautiful, nothing more to say on them. 9/10. I'd definitely replace the mace halves with some alternate shoulder armour and I feel the titanium metallic on his body should be silver instead, but he's confirmed as a must buy for me. And nice job on all those jokes about HF's morality, I laughed IRL.

I think that gold head decoration=king/queen (Ewald is still unclear..), simply enough. So they are: Laval's father, Ewald, Crominus and Rawzom. No Wolfs we saw so far wear gold headgear, so I think we'll see the Wolf king/queen in Summer, most likely in Worriz's Combat Lair. As for the military leaders/princes/princesses (if Eris is Ewald's daughter, and I wouldn't be surprised), I think they are the ones who: -get the most promotional coverage; -whose names are mentioned in the larger sets ("Cragger's Command Ship", "Laval's Royal Fighter", Razar's Chi Raider, etc..) -are getting constraction sets. Laval, Eris, Gorzan, Cragger, Worriz, Razar. It can't be a coincidence, these 6 have a lot in common.

Thanks for the compliment and the info! I dunno, if the difference is slight enough you immediately think of Reapa's shells, it might just be something about the head plastic. And I agree with this, it's got a greenish tint regular tr. yellow lacks.Furno looks good, but I'm waiting for high quality pictures of him and the other sets (except Breez of course). And Jang's reviews. Oh, I learned Rocka is obviously the sexiest of the 3 small Heroes. Moreover, how could he think that was the right way to attach the silver Rocka blade? Perpendicular to the rest of the sword, really?

If I remember Web of Shadows well, Vakama's betrayal was almost non-significant. Honestly I can't see HF pulling off a twist like that even if Lego hired the best writers ever...it's just so random. And Stringer is one of my favourite Heroes, I far prefer him to remain the laid back good guy. My, I forgot how ridiculous Gnasty looked in A Hero's Tail! Spyro 1 Gnasty >>>> that thing. Though AHT Gnasty looks far more similar to Ogrum due to the pearl grey armour and mace. From the video, no he doesn't. It looks more like tr. neon green than anything, which is his usual head colour anyway. And this. You'd think taking photos is easier than making a video..

Hey, I like them! They make look him look old and stuff. A reptile with bushy eybrows doesn't make much sense, but he's an evil old Crocodile king afterall. Cragger's head is my favourite, though. The scarred, damaged left part of the head makes him look very evil and cool. Crooler..ew! You're not an adorable Croc girl, that mouth of yours is rather creepy. I'll keep Eris, thank you very much. Rawzom looks better IRL than I thought. He looks very evil and demented. Eris's Interceptor looks great. I might pick it up afterall.

Glad it's fully confirmed. It's curious they'd use it on one single set in a whole wave, but I'm sure we'll see more of it in Summer. Is it tr. yellow (I doubt it) or tr. neon green (Toxic Reapa, etc..)? Ogrum does look pretty great, actually- though I still don't like the brown and the skinny legs. He looks so much like an Internet troll it isn't even funny. Or Gnasty Gnorc from Spyro, if you prefer. Since his 4M shells are tr. bright green like Breez's armour, I guess this confirms Rocka uses tr. bright green too, afterall. They'd have no reason to recolour that single 4M shell on his shoulder, same goes for his sword piece (which is confirmed to be tr. bright green on the Star Slicer set). I'm happy they're keeping a certain degree of colour scheme consistency between different forms of the same Hero. So, with the tr. blue head on Stormer we've already got the new head in 3 colours. I guess we'll get a tr. orange one in Summer, to match the 4 colours of the Glatorian head. That would be ideal, though I obviously won't be opposed to a fifth colour in the future.
