  1. Nothing special, its colour is the same translucent blue from Stormer XL's blades. Same for Laval. Now, I'm curious about the bad guys' "energy weapons". I can't tell whether they're in solid red or translucent red; I personally hope for the latter as the former wouldn't make much sense.
  2. Since the "buy pieces" option was removed from LDD (last year, IIRC), pieces no longer have to be featured in existing (in real life) colours, thus pieces like this, never produced in the colour shown, are added as samples. There are more pieces like that, at least in HF AFAIC: last year 3M tr. light blue 3M shells and black Surge helmets were added, even though the latter obviously don't exist while the former debut in the upcoming Summer sets.
  3. Yep, those are basically the prototype version of Frost Beast's jagged curved blade which are reused on LoC (or is it the other way around?). Those eventually grew on me, since they're in one colour and have a more generic shape (=more versatile). I really like it, as it provides a nice contrast to the more "clean" looking Rocka sword. @Aanchir: I agree, the way characters were matched together was the best one possible. Laval/Eris and Gorzan/Razar have a lot in common; while Cragger/Worriz feels random (and arguably a case of "pair the spares") Cragger has some red in him and Worriz's greys can be matched with almost anything. Makes me think of Impossible Creatures, if anybody knows what I'm talking about.
  4. Well, I'm sure German members here will post some good reviews. I totally called on Eris+Laval (griffon anyone?), Gorzan+Razar sounds interesting, not sold on Worriz+Cragger due to the colours. I just realized Gorzan's feet are titanium metallic: since those are rare, that makes him an even better parts pack. So far he's the only insta-buy for me, I'm still thinking about the others.
  5. Some themes are still missing, like HF and Castle it seems.
  6. This is awesome, but it should probably go in LEGO General Discussion and News or Special LEGO Themes. Action figures aren't really releated.
  7. I'm undecided on Stormer and Evo TBH. Breakout Evo is cool, but his colours, helmet and weapon are kind of bland: I like BA Evo's colours more, the ugly red Zamor/tr. orange head have been dropped in favor of the awesome tr. light blue and the visor makes the helmet more interesting. Stormer XL is awesome but again, Stormer's classic helmet is one of the most bland looking ones and the beautiful printed visor fixes that. Also, I like BA Stormer's weapons and tr. light blue shells. One thing Breakout Heroes definitely have over the BA ones are the torsos, the printed chests gave a lot of character (kinda like minifigs) the BA torsos don't have. But half of the BA Heroes have really cool helmets+visors (Surge, Stormer, Evo, Breez if it were lime) and equipment (Surge's wings and lightning launcher, Stormer's sword and wrist blade+ice thrower, Rocka's sword, Furno XL's sword and shield). That's why I want to combine the best things of the BA Heroes into the Breakout Heroes (well, except Furno XL, who is a thing on his own). Too bad Nex and Stringer are missing.. Rocka is terribly bland: too much titanium metallic, boring shield and a helmet inferior to the Breakout version (without the visor). I used the sword and the 4M shells to update my Breakout Rocka, I'll use the rest of the parts for other stuff. Still not sure on how to use his helmet+visor though. Surge's lightning is definitely transparent. Stormer's ice seems solid though, at least the white: the light blue might be translucent like Rocka's sword.
  8. Stormer is finally in a good pose, unlike the absurd one he was put in at Toyfair. It shows his design nicely: strong and proud, like Stormer should be. Surge's and Evo's poses are great as well. I think these 3 are in their best forms so far- using their pieces to update their Breakout selves is going to be fun.
  9. Weird, the first time I clicked the link it asked me to make an account, afterwards it sent me to the page. These are the pics: lg44008_0.jpg (300×191) lg44009_0.jpg (300×144) lg44010_0.jpg (300×191) lg44011_0.jpg (300×170) lg44012_0.jpg (300×225) lg44013_0.jpg (300×156) lg44014_0.png (240×240) Jet Rocka's price inn the site is 27.99 Euro, which likely means it'll be a 30 Euro set like Speeda Demon, I would've been fine with a 35 Euro price tag since it has so many pieces, but I can't complain.
  10. I think hair would dangerously push the series into a too organic style. Robo hair on the other hand.. I'd also like more flip up headgear like the visor. Spmething similar to the 2.0 equipment. The current shouldn't be replaced. More new feet would be nice though.
  11. I don't get what you guys are talking about. Bulk has cladding on both upper arms, but he can't have it on his lower arms because he uses shorter bones without ball joints. Like Rocka, Breez and Evo later in the year.
  12. Ghost? The same team who made lots of amazing stuff for Bionicle? ...Wow, that episode is going to be gorgeous! Nice we get some confirmation for HF continuing into 2014 (most of us figured as much, but still). As for Mirror World: Greg couldn't help himself, could he? I think I'll go watch the episode now. I wanted to wait to get my PC back, but since everyone's talking about the episode I don't want to stay out.
  13. I don't have Bulk/Bruizer, but I agree, these two are clearly the least impressive ones to me. Open them, then Rocka/Scarox, then Breez/Ogrum (Breez and Rocka are about on the same level, but from the pics Ogrum is worlds better than Scarox), and then the most satisfying duo, Furno/Pyrox. But I shouldn't speak for the villains, I bought only Pyrox and even he was disappointing to me. The Winter villains just don't cut it for me.
  14. Well, time for a new post by me, OP was short on purpose so to not influence you future posters...and I was in a hurry that time. This is the most complete list of the stuff I want I could conceive. SHELLS (and other stuff attached via ball joints) 1)3M shells in tr. bright green and dark red 2)4M shells in red, blue, lime, orange, white and medium lilac 3)5M shells in yellow and tr. neon green 4)6M shells in silver and..well, more colours 5)8M shells (Waspix wings) in black and titanium metallic (..if they’ll ever use that piece again) 6)90650 in orange, gold, white and silver 7)90652 in red 9)98569 in silver 10)11271 in black and white 11)92223 in titanium metallic 12)92233 in titanium metallic 13)98604 in silver, black and titanium metallic 14)90649 in silver and titanium metallic (if they ever use it again..). 15)11270 in tr. reddish orange and more colours 16)93575 in gold and titanium metallic. BONES 1)90617 in medium lilac and medium azure 2)90615 in black 3)90622 in dark bley 4)90612 in dark bley 5)90609 in red 6)90611 in dark bley 7)90626 in dark bley 8)90613 in black 9)98565 in black 10)98577 in black. COLOURS: more parts in... 1)Orange (cladding and bones) 2)Medium azure (cladding 3)Medium lilac (bones) 4)Olive green (cladding 4)Earth blue (cladding 5)"Keetongu yellow-orange" (cladding 6)Tr. purple (cladding) 7)Bricklink's "trans-orange (cladding). 8)Tr. yellow (cladding) 9)Tr. red (cladding. I take you were the one who made that pretty awesome Fluttershy a while ago?
  15. Um, are you sure that would be possible/sensible? Furno's Technic backback alone takes about 11 pieces (a big portion, in a medium set), besides that build was done solely for the cape to attach.
  16. The Mandarin could make for an excellent wizard, maybe by combining his parts with the Kingdoms wizard. And that evil henchman- I love that head, especially the angry side. Dark elves for the win! I'll try to get these on BL.
  17. I guess this is the right topic for my post. I've been thinking about this in the last two days: the new head has a handle bar. Obviously it was designed for the Hero visors to attach, but Front implied the new head isn't going to be used in 2013 just to be thrown away later, quite the opposite actually. I think the handle bar could be used for many cool poseable add-ons: for example, headgears similar to the ones the 2.0 Heroes wore. Or, in the case of figures like the Brain Attack villains (where the bar is in the chin area, instead of the back of the head), to attach a lower jaw.
  18. Yeah, I really like FB too, he's my favourite villain this year along Dragon Bolt (they don't have a lot of competition, though..). The head, the colour scheme, the unique torso design and the weapons (tr. light blue claws FTW!)..way better than Pyrox. And I never realized how big Scarox's head really is. That MOC of mine is going to turn out sweet!
  19. Huh, why does the Youtube version cut Evo and Surge out (at 0:38)? They should be shown right after Bulk, but the video switches straight to Stormer instead. At least, watching that Surge footage on the Vimeo version finally puts to rest my "theory" Surge was originally tr. yellow. He's clearly tr. neon green in the factory scene.
  20. Not to self-promote, but I made a recolours topic a few days ago, even though the premise covers HF-pieces only: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=79942 But this topic is another matter entirely, and creating it was a very good idea. Personally, I find the HF system a great innovation and a huge improvemente to the Bionicle system(s?). Bionicle struggled for a while to find its signature system (just compare 2001 and 2005), and when it did (2006), it brought great articulation but awkward designs and proportions. Many pieces were blocky and/or not very useful (many parts introduced in 2004-2005, which soon became obsolete). The HF system shows Lego finally found the right building system for action figures. The main pieces (bones and shells) are plain and generic, and they shouldn't be anything else. Bionicle pieces fused aesthetics with structure/function, HF separates the two for far greater customization. Bones and shells provide the structure of the figure (its shape, proportions, size, etc..).Detailed shells (ie Breakout torsos), masks, printed elements and add-ons with double connection (ie rounded shoulder pads) make the figures more interesting/unique. No new shells/bones need to be released: the foundations have been laid, now it's time for recolours and new parts with aesthetic purposes. I probably wanted this post to be longer, but I lost inspiration. But I think I wrote enough for now. EDIT: I just realized I had left the the second-to-last sentence unfinished. I fixed that and I added another paragraph.
  21. So at the end of the Brain Attack episode
  22. I've thought about that piece being use on Frost Beast, my only worry is that it is 1/2 module deep, so the connection might be flimsy. But I'm sure deisgners have come up with a sturdy connection. Frost Beast is in many ways an Ice!Pyrox, yes. But I feel he's much more solid as a set, due to a more interesting colour scheme, better proportions and a height suited for a 13 Euro set. The tr. light blue claws and his sword (LoC Ultrabuilds use it, but in t. metallic and tr. red) look great.
  23. Which recolours of HF parts (I'm excluding BIONICLE parts, except those that might be reused) would you like to see in future sets? I don't want to limit your creativity, but do try to list feasible recolours: Lego is never going to produce a chrome Furno helmet or a teal MTIS. I'll start: CLADDING I'll write here later. BONES 1)This in red 2)This in medium lilac 2)Narrow medium torso in more colours other than black, such as dark bley OTHER 1)MTIS in the remaining Hero colours: blue, lime and gold. COLOURS: more parts in... 1)Dark azure 2)Medium lilac 3)Olive green 4)Earth blue 5)"Keetongu yellow-orange" 6)Tr. purple 7)Bricklink's "trans-orange" (2010 Stringer's core colour). 8)Tr. yellow. I'll add more in a future post.
  24. I'm pretty sure those are Glatorian necks, yes, but Furno XL's torso? Looks a bit too Technic-filled. You can say "Bruizer!", but in his case the Technic pieces had another purpose. I would have liked a new piece to attach arms. All this Technic this year doesn't please me much: the new building style should mostly develop without relying on outside influences IMO. System parts are welcome, but those are used for details, not as structural elements. BTW, Frost Beast's torso in another matter entirely. Check (0:33), he does use Glatorian necks but the torso build is different. For both sets, I am indeed worried about the back armour issue.
  25. I'm getting very curious about Gorzan's torso. It's not a Hulk/Stormer clone, the shoulders are far less wide and there are no glaring bones at the sides. It's as if they perfected the torso build..this could have potential.
