  1. I'm still worried about that. There's definitely another way to do it depending on how you build the torso, since Onua, Tahu and Gali have full length arms. But the other 3 still look weird, and I can't tell if it's a budget decision or something else, since Gali's spear is more complex than Lewa's swords. It's also curious that the three Toa with shorter arms are the ones who share the "Vorox armour as shoulder pads" design.
  2. Thanks for the info Lyichir. Yup, dark blue shells is something I...long...longed for. So far, trans dark blue shells have been a replacement for them, at least in my mind- but the real thing is obviously something else, as nice as trans dark blue is. And I hope the silver hilts for Kopaka's blades stick, since Gali's crystal blade is likely going to be silver/tr. dark blue like her crystal add-ons or 100% silver. I really don't care for gold weapons to be honest, they're too specific, while silver and titanium metallic (to a slightly lesser extent) work for just about everything. EDIT: Ah. Silver it is then, gooood. Guess that confirms Onua's black torso too.

  4. Are Kopaka's sword hilts gold or silver? And are his lower arms really dark blue?
  5. Man those look SOOOOO COOL. The Skeletons aren't bad, but you can tell they scrapped a lot from the original concept. And Scorpio and Basher/Crusher are clearly 20 Euro sets there. They were also quite a bit more creative with the colours, what with dark blue+trans orange, tan+trans purple and lime+purple. Different ideas for the same characters, but still. Actually those kind of remind me of Playtest Anon's villains. Hmmm...
  6. I wonder, is this going to be a groundbreaking mindblowing success like Ninjago, or is it going to be like one of those themes Lego invests a LOT into and just ends selling "pretty good"? *coughChimacough* (not saying Chima wasn't a success, but..) Medieval (Western) Fantasy certainly is liked by kids, but I fear it might lack the "exotic" cultural feeling Ninjago brings to the table with its direct references to Japanese and Chinese culture. This, at least, goes for Western markets, I don't know how Ninjago fares in Asian markets and obviously I don't know how NK is going to fare there.
  7. The neck piece is also new. It's not a Glatorian neck, since it has 2 O holes. What if that piece is much longer than it seems? Maybe it's like this: -silver hips with balljoints -black gear+liftarm+neck balljoints -dark bley Technic connector (for the shoulders area?) While the rest of the stuff around those 3 new pieces is all custom Technic genius.
  8. While Phasma is most likely regular metallic silver, I do believe those are 6M shells on her upper legs, which are new.
  9. Finn and Rey seem to have non-CCBS torsos. The use of Technic on constraction next year is interesting, as it feels much more integrated and appealing than..whatever the tried to do with Brain Attack (yeah, I'll never stop bashing 2013). And do I see some...gears?
  10. New cape! A new robe! A waist cape! New orange, tan and dark tan shells! Dark brown feet! Looking goood.
  11. Someone on 4chan pointed out that's not a minigun, but one of those wheel pieces. Maybe it holds the extra 6 studs? And now I can see the waist mechanism. Tahu's hips with balljoints are silver and there's a second black piece with a visible gear attached to it. Also no yellow knobs confirmed, thank you designers (because I won't have to replace them). Tahu looks so odd with a red mask. Gold really feels like his main colour this time.
  12. Nevermind, Tahu's lower leg shells are red. I can already tell that Ikir's head just sits on Tahu, so I guess that yes, Piraka Syndrome confirmed. Do the Creatures even have glowing eyes, though? Tahu's got 6M trans orange bones. Hooray, another length for that colour! Umarak's bow is nowhere to be seen (despite being mentioned), and the minigun is hanging from a chain attached to his blade. How odd. His mask is less deer-like than I thought, but I still like it.
  13. Why...so...tiny.... Does Tahu even have any red? Even his lower leg shells are trans orange. It seems onnly his mask and his torso printing have any red. http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/mixels/images/1/19/Bionicle_teaser.png Bigger!
  14. I've read (not just here) a suprising amount of positive impressions about DV and Grievous from System-only fans, especially the latter. The smaller figures, meanwhile, have left most largerly unimpressed.
  15. Let me guess, you want to combine them together? Because I'm curious about doing that too. What I like about the waist function is that it doesn't limit the upper torso build like the gearbox does. Maybe that's one of the reasons they introduced it, so they could make more unique and larger figures (Umarak the Destroyer?).
  16. My guess is that she's going to be similar to Obi Wan: fairly simple like the smaller figures (so no Vader/Grievous level build), but with added height, armour and a cape.Same for Kylo Ren.
  17. A cape with hood would be awesome, but they can still find an easy way out by making his head mold fused with the hood and just giving him Darth Vader's cape. Hope not, but..As for the other characters... *Knows little to nothing about The Force Awakens* *Googles the names* Oh. Lots of (maskless) humans, but they could have some neat recolours (tan?). Phasma could be a cool figure on her own. EDIT: Oh yeah, and ORANGE! They really limited its use after 2012, but they have no excuse here.
  18. Well, Kopaka for example looks pretty Technic-heavy under his armour. Though it seems they're going to be about as tall as their 2015 counterparts (Onua and Pohatu might be a bit taller though, and Umarak seems he's going to tower any Toa). I found this German site listing the sets. They're all discounted by roughly 15%. What's interesting is that Kopaka and Melum cost less than MM vs SG, which might indicate a 25 Euro price point.
  19. I think it can work well, provided the waist doesn't swivel freely like Makuta's. But after all the attention they put into the gearboxes friction (well, except Kulta's..), I'd be surprised if that were the case, especially for the larger figures which are obviously going to be heavier.
  20. I can't find the Amazon.fr pages either. And that "posted" sounds dodgy to me, especially since translating it back to French doesn't suggest anything close to the idea of possessing someone. Hah, I was right, Umarak can combine with the Creatures. And he can wear the MoCo afterall- it should've been obvious, but I couldn't (and still can't) see any spaces on its side for Umarak's antlers (unlike the obvious ones on the MoCr). Seems like the MoCo is just about mind control- powerful, sure, but it seems limited compared to the power of Creation. And I like that the printed decorations are referred to as "runes".
  21. I don't get how the Creatures' heads work. Where are their eyes on the psoter? On Tahu+Ikir I don't see them, and the other 5 Creatures below don't seem to have them either. I guess the final sets do have them, but I can't tell if they use Barraki style eyes or there's a new transparent eyestalk under the head piece.
  22. I would've rather had the 3 smaller Toa with silver masks. I like the metallic heads, they look like they have helmets. Again reminds me of Digimon.
  23. Surprisingly, I don't mind the Creatures heads. I probably should but I don't. Maybe it's because I don't see them as real life creatures but something fantastical instead, something along the lines of (Rookie) Digimon.
  24. Yeah I mean that. FENIKKUSU MODO Tahu looks fantastic and I'd like to display him that way, but if the heads are stuck the Unity feature is going to be half ruined for me.
  25. I'm wondering about that myself. My hope is that the heads detatch from the Creatures, otherwise we'd have another Piraka case.
