Looks nice, but I would suggest to raise up the whole ship a bit or just the middle section where the cannons are if you have enough pieces or when you get more peices. Also, the front mast needs some shrouds so a sailor can climb up to the crows nest. You could also put in a third mast if you wanted to.

Lego gives us a big passenger plane with big pieces that make an airplane look smooth and aerodynamic and you people complain that about "Juniorization", now Lego has given us a big passenger plane with small, basic pieces and fixed what you wanted fixed in the first passenger plane, and you still complain, you say it looks blocky and ugly. What do you people expect? I don't think this set is half bad.

The LEGO Company says: Megabloks must be doing something right! They use giant peices with one humungoues cannon that doesnt look anything like a real cannon! I do not have two older silver ones in good condition but if I did I'm not sure which one I would use because I like them both the same. The gold sword is in one set, the Orient Expedition Temple of the Mountain, which I don't have. If the studes faced up I couldn't attach the wine glasses. Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Yup, that sheild is in the durmstrang set and it's the same peice as the sheilds in some of the mid-80s/early-90s castle sets except the back is bluish gray.

No, it looks fine, I was just wondering if you bought this when it came out in 1989, since your such a pirate LEGO fanatic, and you left it assembled for 17 years. What do you think is so good about Eldorado Fortress that it deserves to be released as a Legend Mr C? I think this set should be released as a legend... so I can buy it! But the Impereal Soldiers should be changed to Impereal Guards! Mwahahaha

Thanks for this great review Phes, I've seen a buncha pics of this fortress but I was unaware of the underground storage area. This is a great set, but for some reason I like the Impereal Guards better. I have one question, how long have you had this thing assembled?

The +4 ship has a better hull but the pieces on in the HP ship are better. For some reason the HP ship looks better in person but it still stinks compared to the ships in the original pirate line, it is WAY out of proportion but it has a very royal and elegant feel that the pirate or imperial ships doesn't have. I vote HP.

Mr. KhoRne, This is a medieval themed bar, it exists in the present but has decorations from the Middle Ages (or at least they're decorations that look like they're from the middle ages). This is my third vig, but the first good enough to have its picture taken. I thought a section of an elegant pub would be a cool idea so I made this bar that turned into a medieval themed bar. Another view It's a cute little thing to display. Feedback is welcome ;-)

I use Internet Explore on a fairly old Dell laptop and it works fine, I have no problems whatsoever. That's weird, If you get an error message telling you your not allowed to reply in a topic, that shouldn't be the browser's fault. And IE isn't overall faster or slower than Firefox or Netscape, different browsers are faster on some sites and slower on others.

Well, I bought a couple of the first exo-force sets for the new pieces. I love new part types. Some people don't like "overly modified" bricks, but I say bring em on! I was somewhat disappointed with the robot itself. Maybe a removable head would have been better and gained a more universal part. I bought that $5 Sentry at Target, it was pretty dumb but it had a cool robot and some good peices so I'm not complaining. A robot in another robot, why don't they just build the first robot as big as the second and with as many of weapons? :-D
