Same here, here is the Wikipedia Article nearly all LEGO minifig accesories are to big compared to the minifig but for some reason what annoys me the most is the lightsaber hilts that are way to big to hang on a belt and the wine glasses in which a minifigure could never drink all the contents when filled to the top. Could you imagine sipping from a wine glass that if set on the floor it reaches to your waist?

Couldn't have said it batter myself ;-) , but since I favor realism over faithfullness to traditional LEGO protocol I voted that this was a small island fort.

S@H boasts that this helecopter has an XL-4 Voltaic Launcher with firing action, a Plarxx Radar Ray, twin Quintronic Beam Emitters and twin Sonic Screamers, to me that sounds like an attempt to make this helecopter sound high-tech. Why can't you use an elevated platform to get into a helicopter? The 4504 Millenium Falcon certainly did not have a scale ship to passenger ratio, it was much smaller. If they wanted to make it accurate it would have to be like this which would make it so horendously expensive.

This is now on US S@H for preorders, $100 seems too expensive for an 871 peice set. This is problably becuase it's a "returning LEGO

Yoda is correct. Han and Leia will be the Hoth versions and look will be in his orange flight suit. This does disappoint me, as I would have much preferred ANH Han and Leia figs, since I've already got the ESB ones. Where are you getting this information Sam?

sort of strange that all the pirates clothes, flesh, and organs rot away except thier hats witch stay perfectly inshape, just a thought. I have a shipwreck MOC sitting 3 feet behind me that uses those squid tentacles and I thought it was going to be an origional idea here at the EB Pirae thread but now this old thread has increased in activity I see it does this to and if I post my MOC here some people wil think it's a blatant ripoff of this one. :'-(

I don't have much imput but this is very nice, it is huge the way frigates are supposed to be (even some of the biggest official LEGO ships are to small for realism). As with every ship I think it would look even better with string riggings. And as said earleir those sails just don't work. P.S. Phes, I think I counted 3 users besides me, you and Jacob

Like I said in the first post this MOC is intended to be a LEGO set the size of Lagoon Lockup (its quite a bit bigger though). If I haven't stated this clearly enough in the past, here it is again: I endeavour to build in the style of the original pirate sets. Therefore I have imposed limitations upon myself, so I cannot make it bigger otherwise I'd breach the laws of early 90s LEGO design. Since it must fit the scale of the other Imperial Guard sets you wouldn't expect a mansion to be bigger than Eldorado Fortress or the Imperial Trading - would you? Ah yes, I see your your point now. It's probably not the ideal background but I was tired and couldn't be bothered making one with scenery. The palm tree, however, is sitting on a yellow 4 x 4 Corner Round brick like the palm tree in Treasure Outpost. no matter what brick the palm tree is on it will die if it absords brine. Then the flag is also too big for Sabre Island and Lagoon Lockup, which is where this flag was primarily used. Governor Broadside's Mansion is significantly larger than both those sets. Oh yeah your right, well then I don't like that aspect in the design of Sabre Island and Lagoon Lockup.

Those "flowers" could be from any one of these sets, including a couple +4 pirates sets. This Building does have a very luxurious feel to it but like Captain Roger I think this is to small to be called a mansion. The backround makes this "mansion" look like it's floating in the middle of the ocean but miraculously the palm tree can still grow :-P Oh, and that flag is to big for that building It would look better with this. always happy to help ;-)

This is very queer, in the S@H entry for this set the "images" window has the heli with these new technic missiles but the "360 degree spin" has the heli with the old missles. Hmmm... Oh god, this thing looks like one hell of a war machine *skull*

this brings up a point... should there be FORUM tags, or THEME tags...currently, snefore (and others) have a space tag... which works cause it seems to cover both a THEME and a FORUM. same goes for pirates. but what about the "theater" and "history" forum (along with others)... which both cover mulitple themes ??? that is to say, should there be a batman, starwars, sponsebob, avatar, spiderman, castle, adventuers, wild west, and vikings tag, etc... or simply, "theater" and "history" tag ??? any thoughts ??? personally, i favor the later - BrickMiner And I second this assertion.

Ahh, I can contribute to this forum in the right way, I just remembered a couple of days ago I recieved a message on my house phone answering machine that consisted of about a whole minutes worth of a woman talking in Spanish at lightspeed and then a short "bye" and then the corny automated voice *end of message* :-D Oh god, it was soooooooooooo funny, as no one in my family knows more spanish than si, no, senora, etc. and words like taco, burrito, quesadilla, etc.
