  1. Just in case anyone is interested the January s@h promos are now available. However the new sets are not.
  2. Maybe a monster garage Santa edition.
  3. TLG was very generous with the DDC set. Ghost Vitruvius is a big hit in our house.
  4. New Friends DK books. http://brickfanatics.co.uk/dk-books-2015-new-lego-friends-books/
  5. There will be a green baseplate as well. http://brickset.com/sets/10700-1/32x32-Green-Baseplate Unfortunately no blue, hopefully we will see a new one later this year seeing how pirates theme is returning and a scuba city sub theme is coming out as well.
  6. The Lego store in Schaumburg, IL today was giving away 5002113-1: Beach Hammock with friends purchase. Not sure if this is an old promo, just remember seeing a pic of it somewhere.
  7. I'm pretty happy to be getting Yularen. Will be a nice addition to great scene, though I do find some peoples lack of faith disturbing. : )
  8. Context is everything. The reason what you say is true is because of TLG's secretive nature. Otherwise if TLG did release information much earlier their biggest problem would be knockoffs. What you also have to consider is a good amount of people don't necessarily care about quality, but rather price. The term lego gets thrown around in describing a variety of building block products. So when some go shopping they see mega bloks and think lego blocks but cheaper. Thats how those products continue to exist. Thus if a person walked into a store next Christmas and saw two Ferris wheels(hypothetically of course) and one was half the price of the other which one do you think they would buy? I realize that everyone here would choose one product over the cheaper knockoff but we are a small portion of the overall lego market. The toy market is very competitive and any advantage you give your competitor will be reflected by your sales.
  9. That was my point, it's not exactly the same. Sorry if I wasn't clear. In my mind a re release is a set that is 100% the same. Same parts, same figs, same set number. I know I'm splitting hairs here but yes then you could count multiple sets that only have minor differences.
  10. Cypress, I grew up in cypress! Funny.
  11. My local target had all the new Star Wars sets though they were scattered everywhere. I only picked up the troop transport for now so I could see the figs in person. I have to say I really like the rebel stormtroopers and having only a few OT troopers I am not at all bothered by the differences. Frankly if I was a purist I wouldn't choice lego as my medium to begin with.
  12. Has TLG ever rereleased a set before? None that I can recall. They always make changes even if they are minor. If they ever do make another USC Falcon regardless if it's exactly the same or very different it will most likely deflate the price of 10179. Speaking of scalpers, maybe TLG will eventually retire the current Death Star and release an updated version.
  13. merman, on 06 September 2014 - 06:20 PM, said: Spoke to an employee from a British Legostore. He told me a HUGE SW set is on its way. At least the size of the Death Star. The employees did not know what set it was, but only it was huge. Probably released in January and announced very shortly before that. A new Falcon? It will probably be in the 3000-5000 parts range. This is what the person who mentioned the Death Star sized set said. I was merely pointing this fact out, not that I believed it.
  14. Starting to sound like Lucas directed this film.
  15. The rumor about a death star sized set stated it would be coming out in January.
  16. Not to mention unless someone has actual information giving us possibilities is rather superfluous.
  17. The biggest problem for TLG is competitors and knockoff companies producing cheaper products to compete directly.
  18. Seems highly doubtful that there will be a combined wave especially seeing we have a list for the summer wave developing. You have to remember that rebels is also getting sets and is most likely the source of the imperial assault carrier. This is Star Wars after all, a merchandising juggurnaut in of itself plus combined with Disney and next Christmas will be blanketed in Star Wars. I fully expect a TFA wave in sept/oct in time for the holidays of 5-6 sets. A wave dominated by vehicles and other non plot spoiling sets. January 2016 we will see our first TFA ucs, perhaps an iconic ship and it's new crew.
  19. The list is still up on the brick fan as well. http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-2015-set-release-dates-and-promo-details/
  20. I believe that deal is only for those who bought from TLG on Black Friday.
  21. If brickshow and brickapedia is selling for $60 I'd buy from them. ;) Amazon also has it listed for $70.
  22. I'm getting this sinking feeling.
  23. Excellent find, the new helmet looks great. 2015 is going to be an excellent year for Star Wars.
  24. Are you referring to 75087, the azure angel? Didn't realize it was coming out in January.
  25. 75038 is on amazon for $24.99 so I don't believe it's an exclusive. I know in the past both walmart and target have had exclusives but I don't remember any for this year.
