  1. It's so good to see more MOCers here on EB! And if that's really your first MOC in 12 years, than it's even more amazing! The engines are really win! I also like the smooth appearance avoiding too many studs showing offf... I don't like studs
  2. That's a really big, no huge town layout you have there! And the monorail integrates really well! And yes, I have to agree with others that it simply is a shame TLC has continued in releasing trains, but stopped monorails! However that makes them even more special so that's rather good for yours I guess.
  3. Great review, as always! To the set itself: I'm not too convinced by it; I never felt the Jurassic Park sets to be very good and in particular i don't like the plane; at least one more window would be needed for a 3/5, so i voted 2/5 Also the tree looks quite squary.. boo!
  4. Simple, yet effective and ggod part usage! However since it's not too accurate to the movie version, I feel it would be nice to see some more solutions for replacing Zurd's gun; I'm curious to see Oky's! So yeah, it looks pretty sweet and certainly is a major improvement over the standard one, but could be more accurate.v
  5. Thanks for this detailed review! I actually very much like the cab which loooks very smooth and - amazingly for a set - doesn't dhow off too many off those nasty studs The idea that it's carrying Lego sets it's pretty smart and pretty good product placement I guess! Of course they're far too few, however the build would have been to repetitive more and also pricing more unfortunate, so it's ok.
  6. It certainly would have a nice touch showing how minifigs have evolved over the years! I'm not sure, but possibly the differences might be too big to look like a "realistic" battle scene, but t doesn't have to! Great idea, and I'm quite curious now how it could look!
  7. Quite nice considering that you only used standard Lego pieces! Can they form a turtle? As a kid I always wanted to amass a roman army able to get into that very formation, but I never suceeded
  8. I think it also depends on if you try to combine them with regular minifigs! They certainly are of a different quality; some parts are better (more detailed, like the clown's trumpet) some are much worse (like the zombies shovel made of extremely cheap plastic) If you however change the heads, regular production heads don't always sit tight on these torsos which is a shame, really! Other than that it's a great idea of TLC and possibly the best in 2010 so far!
  9. WOW, I don't say that often, but this is just an epic creation! And it has an interior! And it features suspension! Actually this is one of the few times where I don't find ANY bad points in a MOC, it might be close to perfect or even just that! Keep bricking! I hope to see more of your work.
  10. I love all of your TIEs and this one is no exception! Actually I like TIEs and Empire related MOCs in general, just always found the "bad guys" more appealing Keep it up! How many projects are still left until you have completed all of them?
  11. Good idea! About the photo issue: I know myself how annoying it can be to not have a proper camera... I hope you can improve the pics, but it doesn't look like the equipment you were using can make a big change...
  12. Brilliant grave cross! It's quite disgusting as well... but I guess it's supposed to be...
  13. I think your second MOC is already a significant improvement compared to the first one! It's always good to see more people starting MOCing! If you don't, you just miss a lot of what Lego can do... So keep bricking, and you will become better for sure!
  14. Hmm the brickarms helmet looks MUCH better than the green Toy Story one from TLC... I guess it's to expensive to buy 88 brickarms helmets though Great project, I'll check for further progress!
  15. You could also just tile away those nasty studs! I generally don't like studs showing up, but with these beautiful minifigs, they look even worse! So yeah, just a few tiles and it will be fine IMO! Keep it up, it's an amazing (and huge) project!
  16. "Hiding" Ninjas I still very much like the relatively large amount of detail and the general idea! Just figured it out today, should have posted earlier...
  17. Hehe. the grave stones look quite cool and the amassed zombies have something quite... scary! Really enjoying your series, keep it up!
  18. Cool figure, I love how you posed them running of in all different direction with their guns! I'm not liking the squary lanscaping though! Some more plates would have been nicer.
  19. I know that I'm pretty late to post here, but I just discovered this cool series of yours and this entry is my favcourite! Even though divers aren't that popular, but... I just like anything distinctly nautical!
  20. Hmm there's not much going on but that seems pretty accurate for the plains... A MOC cactus would have been a good touch though!
  21. Nice idea; i like how you mixed both old style and new hats!
  22. I do like the use of that fiberoptic piece; it allows for so much more action! Now that your half way through Volume1: Will you also be making a series on Volume2?
  23. Actually the part I had most quality issues with is this one! Some of these don't grip properly, gripping power is too light overall. Also the bar part doesn't always stuck in holes and sometimes it sits too tight. About 40-50% of these parts are faulty compared to other grips... However I have to admit I used them for mast caonstruction, so I expected a lot from them of course.
  24. Well, I see something even far, far worse: Pricing differences in PaB: 0,23€ for the 1x1 headlight brick on S@H PaB, which is just ridiculously overpriced! In comparison; BL: about 0,03€ (black) Lego store PaB wall: abou 0,02€ if you fill your basket properly.... Now that's a pricing differences of more than 1000% for the same product purchased frrom the very same company A 1000% sounds morelike selling/buying illegal drugs, but in this case it's just Legos... BOO
  25. Hey Eínon, I like anything nautical and the amount of detail and pure scale of this scenery look pretty impressive so far! I can't understand however why one ship has a tiled deck and others have not! I love tiles! Tile everything! It will look so much better! -Perfectionist
