Those of you who remember my FWIP will no doubt see the resemblance. This, or something like it, is what the FWIP was originally meant to become. But I got there in the end, and that's what counts. This was so much fun to swoosh, if you could get a firm grip on it without any of the assorted panels and wings and fins and bits falling off. Want more pics? Hit the photoset!

Thanks all! I'm not familiar with this Warhammer Gunship, got a link?
-
The first of 3 spaceships built for STEAM, this is my Futuron offering. Basically, I imagine this as that camping jerk who always headshots you from across the map. Pivoting engines + radar sensors + massive railguns = multikill from the other side of the 'verse. I deviated from the Futuron colourscheme somewhat, espeically on the wings, but that's because it looks cool. And yay stripes. More pics in the photoset.

I'll see you there! I believe we may have bumped into each other at NSC, will you be bringing the whole fleet of UCS models with you again?
-
Trafford Center? Awesome! Not been there in years. I should be able to make this, too.

Thanks all! LightningTiger, there's not really any particular inspiration... just what I dreamt up.

I'm gonna go sit next to Aanchir in the bitter and cynical corner. As is the way of the interwebtubes, pix or it didn't happen. I'd love to see the theme (the whole violence argument got blown out of the water when the poor ickle German mechanic got shredded by a propellor, or the entire crew of the HMS Providence being nommed by Mermaids) but I just don't know if it'll happen. Anyone can make up set names, but without proof... I remain stoic. BTW, did u gais here abut the UCS Balrog? OMGOMGOMG. Teehee.

It's been a while since I did any microspace. Consider that rectified. This started with my messing around with the long wedges at the front, spent a day or two lying on my desk as just the front third, and then I completed the rest in a day. Bam! Once again, the picture is borrowed from the internet. I really like how this one came out. I discovered the rotate tool, which I think gives the ship a more realistic angle. More pictures (and an in-universe description on each pic) in the photoset. Comments welcomed!

Thanks! To answer a few questions, the pilot's seat just rests snugly in the bottom of the canopy. The canopies themselves are hinged to the back of the engine section (and the top one opens, yay playability.) The gun isn't massively strong but it doesn't droop or fall off of it's own accord.

And here we are, with more SPACE! This time, it's a Blacktron/NBT starfighter. It was originally the front of a much larger, tri-winged design, but that idea fell flat. So I stuck on some fins and an engine, et voila! I was in the mood for a backstory, and not just to justify the blatant silliness of the design. So... The FWIP is the smallest starfighter in the Blacktron armada, and as a single unit, by far the most useless. Lightly armoured, unshielded and armed with only a single laser, all this ship has in it's favour is a pretty fast engine and a tiny target silhoette. The brave and borderline suicidal folk who pilot these are affectionately known as coffin jockeys, for depressingly obvious reasons. However, in swarms sufficiently large enough, these fighters are often able to eliminate far more well-equipped targets, due in no small part to the FWIP's pilot's tenacity and lack of real tactical awareness, as well as the promised bonus from High Command upon achieving a confirmed kill. Since it takes an average of 5 FWIPs to kill any other starfighter, none of the 5 pilots can comfirm the kill is theirs. A "good" faction would highlight the importance of teamwork in a situation like this, but let's face it... Blacktron are jerks. More pictures in the photoset, you know the drill! Comments welcomed!

SPACE, now with nifty backgrounds stolen from Google/NASA! But yeah, I finally built some real Classic Space. Went for a similar building style to the Dragon, lots of studs and plates at odd angles. (Front plates use Bionicle ball joints, but I've learnt from my past uses of them and this ship is actually really sturdy.) Probably won't keep this intact very long, this was more of a test build than anything else. This uses up literally all of my light bley plates, too. I'll probably scrap this and build another, larger ship using old grey. It just happens that the long 3x12 wedges that form the front slope only come in bley, so I ran with that. So yeah, enjoy SPACE, comments and all that fun stuff are always welcomed! Want more pics? Here's the Photoset!

Those with good memories may remember a series of WIP pics I posted of this a few weeks ago. Well, not much has changed, but I finished and polished it a bit. Then I pretty much got bored of it, which is what happens when I have a build going on for a long time with no visible progress being made. But anyway, here it is. I'm fairly pleased with it, although I think it looks better empty than holding a mech, since all the details are obscured. There's more pics of the hangar in the photoset, and more views of the hardsuit itself here. Enjoy!

In terms of design, I always liked the snub-nosed version best, but yours looks great with a pointy nose. Fun!
-
Thanks for the comments all, glad you like most of it. I knew the nose would take some criticism, but I rather like it, and the design's intentional.
-
Well, here we go. Space. Wanted to try something different, and this is the end result, after a week of WIPs. Dodgy angles galore, wonky and flowing. I'm very happy with how it came out. My inspirations were: -Space Battleship Yamato (Concept art from a fighter was this colour scheme and even general shape, but that changed as the design evolved.) -Homeworld (Wonky angles and the general colourscheme.) -Assorted other builders and concept art floating around the interwebs. So yeah, tell me what you think. More pics in the photoset.

This was a fun little build, an experiment with assymetry, which those who know me will attest that I dislike. Still, it looks pretty funky. A freighter I made for last year's STEAM. I took it along but completely forgot to upload the photos... until now! Photoset here, comments and all that fun stuff welcome, even though the model's been destroyed for about 9 months now, ahaha.

So I built a rival for the ADU's hardsuit, but this one's less serious. It's nice and quirky, I think it suits the theme in general. As arms are apparently my weakness, I avoided them, by adding guns instead. More pictures in the photoset, comments welcome.
-
Thanks all! Glad you like it. I built a rival, thread'll be up in a minute.

I built a hardsuit, this time for the ADU. I think it turned out very nicely indeed. There are some issues, like the arms in general, but I don't mind so much. It started off as an annoying build, but it all came together, especially when I managed to make it stop collapsing. Comments and all that fun stuff welcomed! More pics in the photoset/url]

Eurobricks' 3rd LDD RCB

On the ramp near the back, you've used loads of 1x3 slopes. You are aware that there are 4x3 slopes? This would save a few pieces. -
So, I built a hardsuit, and here it is. Really don't have much to say, other than "yay handlebars". I used three of them in this model, and I both love and hate them. Funny places where they don't have clutch, but they're a really cool shape. I'm not entirely happy with it. I like the arms, but I feel that the legs leave something to be desired. Like better legs. More pictures in the photoset, feel free to comment!

Gotta say, that looks brilliant. Such a classic vibe. The legs are a nice touch, but my favourite element are the stairs. -
I love that the jetcopter barely changes. You really can't improve on perfection, huh?
