Finally started on the cathedral!

If they do make a LoTR theme for LEGO, then bye to all my money! I will be ever so slightly disappointed if they only make sets of the films, that would mean no LEGO Glorfindel!

I like the design, however I think that dark green would look a lot better than the current shade of green.

No, never. When I was younger I used to hate people touching my LEGO in case they broke it. Now I'm more trusting and I'll let people handle larger things as long as I'm there.

Could someone tell me what the status of the church is? I can't play Minecraft until I get home.

Psst... the Scottish are British too. ;) As for me, I consider myself English. I have strong Norman ancestry, and the Normans were Scandinavian so I have Scandinavian ancestry. I know that somewhere I have English ancestry (as in, Anglo-Saxons, the only true English) and Scottish ancestry. I probably also have some Celtic ancestry. Oh and we all have some neanderthal DNA too, so I'm partly that.

I am currently on holiday and annoyingly the computer isn't good enough to run Minecraft. I shan't be on until the 5th of September.

Currently building a church, then I'll build a market, then the cathedral. Currently getting a lot of server lag. EDIT: The market square now exists. Please place shops, stalls, and on the designated spot house/store combos if you so wish. The church is complete. Feel free to come in and praise Notch!

On the point of shields, I'd like to add that most LEGO are grey, which makes it look like metal. A real shield is made of wood, with only the boss and sometimes the rim being made of metal (with the exception of bucklers).

Well I had a pretty decent discussion on the first day with Pedro on Star Wars while waiting for food, if that counts!

As I said during the event, I hope I will be able to attend but it depends on my exam time table.

Really nice 74-Z! I think the bit where the feet rest on is really nice, much better than the official LEGO one. Also a good use for those screwdrivers too.

Had a lot of fun at the event, it was great meeting you all. My mum has uploaded the pictures that she took to her computer so I will upload them onto Eurobricks tomorrow. I hope I am free for next year! EDIT: Where do we post pictures of the event?
