KimT, not everything has to be about the future and everything, I believe the OP wants us to discuss how we would have done it differently if we were in charge, some may call it pointless but other people find it fun thinking of ways of how they would have done things and can also be interesting reading what other people what have done. Anyway, I'm not too sure what I would have released but I most certainly would only include one kind of big set and most of them small-medium in size to see how well it sells. Definitely an X-Wing, a Tie Fighter, a Naboo N-1 and a TF vulture droid as they are quite iconic.

'Tis sad news indeed, BrickLink is a wonderful site to use and extremely useful. My thoughts go out to his family.

Nothing. No I don't mean I'm going to go round naked, but I doubt I'll do anything for Halloween as I'll have just came back from holiday (going tomorrow) and my outfit from recent years isn't particularly great and if I want something good it costs loads... Oh and I live in Britain, so it has to be scary. If I lived in America I'd probably go as a Viking or something.

Redcoats never have bad days, just some days which aren't as good as others. I love the pit there is and the heap of sand to bury them and every attention to detail.

How do you store your instructions?
Calanon replied to KartoffelViking's topic in General LEGO Discussion
In drawers, un-organised with some other LEGO leaflets thrown in, with older ones in zip-lock bags. Gosh, I really need to organise them. -
Hi all, I am looking for some basic bricks in dark bley and light bley for castle MOCing. I am looking for around 200 or so bricks of each colour, prefably 1x4 bricks and 2x1 bricks with a few 1x1 bricks too. I am looking to buy the bricks in bulk. I am also searching on BrickLink for a large quantity of these bricks too. Thanks.

How does an idea of a MOC come to you?
Calanon replied to RoryoCox's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I either play around with a limited number of pieces, or someone says something (usually totally un-related to LEGO) and then I think of it made in LEGO as a MOC. -
Review: 852922 Dragon Knight's Battle Pack
Calanon replied to metalandi's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It either varies, or it isn't purely in the weapons. I tried it with some weapons from the Prison Tower Rescue set and the same problem was still present. -
Review: 852922 Dragon Knight's Battle Pack
Calanon replied to metalandi's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for the great review. I bought this set today at the Milton Keynes LEGO store and I too was highly disappointed in the quality of the mini-figures. I am also disappointed in the the fact that the weapons aren't pearl grey. The pearl silver weapons in this set and in the Prison Tower Rescue set seem to be worse quality than the silver swords of the Fantasy Era, since as soon as I tried to put any of the swords back on they wouldn't go back on and got extremely scratched up. The cape also seems to be a bit creased, so it'd of been nice to have the set in a box. Pleased with having two great helms in the pack though. -
Ohyea I got it right! I remember being addicted to Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 once.

Have a good birthday, Siegfried! I hope you've had a good day.

Nice simple MOC, Intact! I like it very much! I think I know which game it is, just not sure on the version.

Do you happen to play Runescape by any chance? For me, I have thought many times about a map of all the factions, and ehre is what I have so far: The Crown Kingdom: A large, wealthy kingdom that has no intention of taking much more land. The Black Falcons: Allies to the Crown Kingdom, with a mountain range on the west border of the kingdom. Dragons: Enemies to the Crown Kingdom, created from the greed of the the King's brother. Lions: Do-gooders who may have evil intentions. Strong believers in order and knowledge. Bulls: A small kingdom who appear chaotic and evil yet may be be better in their intentions than the Lions. Their kingdoms border and much fighting often happens. Forestmen: Neutral people who live in villages towns and the woods they call their homes and help whoever they think is right. Sort of an ally with the Crown Kingdom. Wolfpack: Ruthless mercenaries, sworn enemies of the Forestmen an the Crown Kingdom. Dwarves: Mountain-dwellers who craft many fine things. Strong allies with the Crown Kingdom. Vikings: Men who dwell in the north of the world, beset by evil. Allies to the Dwarves and the Crown Kingdom. Skeletons: Raised from the dead in the east, these mindless robots are the works of the living. Orcs & trolls: From the far north, mercenaries but enemies to all. Hate the Vikings and dwarves. Elves: Live in the far west of the world, with sea and mountains surrounding them, no-one has seen an elf for centuries.

Swallowed In The Sea - Coldplay I love this song.

I can fully understand the monthly fee, but $10 as well as $40 for the game though does seem a bit ridiculous. I personally play Runescape which is only $5 a month, you can play for free AND you don't have to buy a disc. I do like LU in the beta testing, but I don't prefer it to Runescape so paying more money doesn't seem worth it to me. I also doubt that I will find time to play three different MMO's as I also play LOTRO but I have life-time membership for that.

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
Calanon replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Actually, I believe the Doctor said they were a different branch of the species. I liked the episode and I am looking forward to next week to see what happens. Hopefully no-one dies. -
Mhmm... I am probably one of the few people who actually really like this set, apart from the obvious design flaws. The staircase is in a really stupid position and so I'll probably put it in the back. Excellent review of the set, which has made me want it. :p Yes there isn't much interior, and it would've been nice for TLG to include a table or a spit over the fire, but I look forward to modding it. I just wish there were more dragon knights.

Thank you for the review. I like this set, the catapult is pretty neat. I would've liked black or dark grey hands for the Lion knight to represent gloves/gauntlet, but that is easily fixed.

LEGO 8684 Minifigures Series 2 (Official Pictures)
Calanon replied to GRogall's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I am literally drooling over all these new minifigures... oh TLG I hate you... my pockets will be empty soon enough with all these great things coming out. -
Ah ha, thank you! That sounds like a good idea to me, even though I rarely go onto my control panel. I will do that if I ever happen to. As long as I remember, of course.

Thank you for pointing out that topic to me, I can't believe I never noticed it! As for about question one, I just tend to find it helpful to see if I ever have done something bad or not in the future. No I don't plan on being getting warned multiple times, infact I'd preferably get none. I did think about one, but it just doesn't feel enough. I agree after thinking about it a bit more, 3-4 does seem a bit excessive.

Hi all, I have a few questions that I'd like to ask about rule-breaking and rank system. 1) If you break a rule, I know that you will either be told off or banned, depending on the severity of the rule breaking. Is the 'telling-off' PMed or put into the topic? If you break minor rules over the course of a year or so, is there any way of keeping track of them? On another forum I go on, which is also an IPB forum, there is a warn system. On the profile there is a display like this: < -7 ( 0 ) 7 > which shows how many warns you've had, and the minimum and maximum possible warns. Positive warns are for when you do something against the rules, negative are for being continuously good and helpful for a long period of time. It is very helpful for keeping track of warns, and there are also verbal warns which don't count for if you do a minor thing for the first time or so; such as bumping an old topic. I believe this would be quite helpful for this site, not everyone has the best memory to see when they've done something bad, but as this site is for people who are older and thus hopefully, more mature, 7 warns until being banned seems too many. 3 or 4 seems more reasonable, depending on the severity. Sever rule breaking could still be a ban, and warns could be dismissed after maybe 2-3 months of good posting. 2) I personally find the rank system slightly confusing as there appears to be so many different ranks with different pips etc, such as when a global moderator has a pip saying Star Wars moderator or something. It can give to some people (such as myself when I first joined) that they can only moderate the Star Wars board. All the different colours for the same group also can get confusing, I do appreciate the fact that it makes it more personal though. For this I have two suggestions, one is to have all the names of online users at the bottom in order of rank, with the admins having their names first. This is possible as it is like this on the other IPB forum I go on. Showing the ranks underneath the online names with the colour of that rank would also be nice, and when clicked on brings you to a page showing all members of that group. That is all for now, hopefully these suggestions will be useful to the forum in some way.

This looks great, lightningtiger! I love how you are slowly but surely adding to the town the way you are, it looks really good so far and I can't wait to see more! Keep up the good work!

Calanon replied to GoN2Broadway's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
That is a very nice custom design, it looks a bit surreal too. -
Review - 8096 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle
Calanon replied to OneSnowTrooper's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm not too sure on this set, I don't like the interior much and I hate to say it, but not even the minifgures provide enoguh appeal to me for this set. I shall have to wait until I see the full review before making my decision though. Also, excuse my ignorance but why is the clone pilots head white? I recently re-watched SW EPIII and I don't recall a pilot with a face like that.
