I'm pretty sure Chimera Guard A can't deal free hits, unless his revival removed that effect. It was quite a few rounds ago. Atramor doesn't spare a moment to relish in his successful healing, instead cursing under his breath as Thothwick is cut down, and the rest of the party having relatively bad luck. "Well, damn...Knyghton, get Chimera Guard B. Tarn, do you mind using Helbaerand and attacking one of the other ones? If you get a Frenzy, you'll cut down every single one of 'em at once, and that'll be beyond helpful. Luke, try and heal De'kra, if ya' don't mind. Alexandre, maybe you could handle one of the Commanders...Nyx, could you handle Blackenord? We just don't have the numbers to hit XX when he won't get a hit in on us. At worst he'll be gone for 2 or 3 rounds while he grabs the Emperor. Everyone but Tarn and Knyghton, I highly suggest attackin' from the back, nearly all of us are gonna be takin' free hits. Also, De'kra, what the hell are you starin' at?" With that, Atramor took a brutal, aggravated swing at Rogue Lion Commander C from the back row.

It won't change the strategy, William is still Hastened. I don't it's necessary.

Bilbo's pretty cool. I would've liked to see Dark Tan hair, though.

Huh. We have more quests than we have active players.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
CMP replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That video made my day. -
In all honesty, it's a good strategy, that's how me and Rumble Strike defeated an enemy very similar to Slim Yscum in a PM sidequest. Literally poisoned him and just kept up a constant stream of healing while we took free hits.
-
Of 2014, maybe. January 2013? There's almost no way. We're getting the Hobbit sets only a month before that.
-
Well, I think they either should be specified as an item, that doesn't count as targeting an enemy, or, yes, they should be able to take damage. Right now it's sort of in between. Though I don't feel as strongly about it as you do.
-
You could just make the multiplier 3 or 4 instead of 2, or just extend it to deal the effect to all opponents, if you're thinking about changing it.
-
Eh, he's being targeted now anyway, doesn't make much of a difference. "On second thought, Knyghton, maybe attack Commander B...we'll take a free hit either way, but again, that Commander's gonna die anyway."
-
"Knyghton, you're not doin' much, you could attack Commander A so we can avoid another free hit."
-
Sorry to ruin your life's goal, but Tarn should only take 13 damage due to Sand Worm Hide, and his power should be 28. Also, Marking the Favored triples damage, for Skrall. On another note, I think effects like poisoning and stuff come before free hits, but I may be wrong. Atramor grins at the well-timed distraction, courtesy of...Heroica witchery? "I don't remember any pink paper flurry spells in Fox's description of witch abilities, heh. Alright, Luke, patch up Thothwick. Tarn, I'd like ya' to attack Commander D, I know it's a risk, but I'll try and heal ya' before you go charge. We're gonna have a lot of company soon...everyone ignore Lion Knight Commander A, he's gonna die anyway. Alexandre, I suggest either downin' a Potion and taking a free hit or attacking Commander B. De'kra, you should be able to attack XX as long as you're in the back row and you won't have any chance of gettin' knocked out. Nyx, I know ya' really wanna get in a hit at XX, but I think we should clean up these Commanders first, perhaps C, 'cuz if you get lucky you'll down him in one hit?" After hastily rattling off his battle plan, Atramor attempted to heal Tarn.

I'm amazed. I thought it was just good building at first. Then good building with power function vines. Then I noticed the tower was literally shaking. The details and the PF really set this one apart.

But now you can sell them and upgrade rather than waiting for the best artifact to come along in a quest.
-
We're still allowed to suggest artifacts, right? If so, I'd like to suggest Summoner's Signet - (suitable for evokers, allows summoned spirits to be composed of up to 2 elements, accessory)
-
Oh. You said you'd made 100. Nevermind.
-
You had 20 bombs?

Maybe you merge the idea of Steady and Deadly with Cover Specialist? The Sniper takes a turn to look for a better vantage point, potentially reducing damage taken to 1/3 of its normal strength? I see what you mean with having to take a turn to set up and stuff, and I suppose it does go with the class, but I still think something should be done with it. Plus, the Sniper would only have to do this once per battle anyway, if they wanted to. Basically, it'd be optional, but still very helpful in later rounds. Okay, Lined-Up Shot makes more sense, I suppose. And I guess losing a turn wouldn't be so bad if your next roll is basically a confirmed Critical Hit. Might need rewording, though. The Sniper lines up an accurate shot on their target. The Sniper may not act next round. Instead, they unleash a strike that does etc. etc. damage and effect. Also, you didn't address my suggestion about removing either Hardware Conditioning or Marks. I think you can only have up to 3 job traits anyway.
-
It's a very interesting idea, but it currently seems quite complicated in some respects. I would maybe drop either Hardware Conditioning or Marks. I would also reword Cover Specialist to something like If there is a plausible cover nearby, the Sniper may choose to take that spot in place of a row, receiving only 1/3 damage. To balance it, however, I think you should reduce the Additional Health to maybe +5, it's a big change. Steady and Deadly I think you should remove. I think you should allow bows. As far as rolls go, Boom, Headshot I like, but maybe change the end effect to the next enemy down, since it'd be too easy for a chain of kills if it's for the lowest hitpoints. Vital Shot sounds cool. Lined-Up Shot is confusing and rather overpowered. I don't understand the last bit. Maybe change it to something like Target - the Sniper takes a moment to hone in on their opponent. The Sniper can not target any more opponents until the currently Targeted enemy is dead, but they deal double damage against it.
-
Your shield deals damage for some deranged reason there, it was an unfair fight. Remove that bit in the rules and we'll try again. Maybe it's because you're trying to kill people with a book? You could always switch classes.
-
"The whole reason he's up here is because he can't deal free hits, I think. If I'm right, he'll waltz right past us and grab the emperor. I know you can cause more damage, but 10 health per round to such a strong enemy can make a serious difference in the long run."
-
Yeah, but the bonuses of upgrading to an advanced or expert class are just way too tempting. The change in gameplay and the extra stats, namely. Still, maybe there'll be an artifact that Hastens the undead in the future.
-
...Suitable for mages and clerics.
-
And does the 'generic artifact only' thing still apply? It's still killing me that I wouldn't be able to use the Robe of the Archmagi as a Necromancer.
-
"....Gah!! When the hell did XX get in here?! Damn it...Nyx, can you take a free hit from Rogue Lion Commander D? You'll heal yourself anyway. I wanna see if this bastard remembers the sweet, lethal taste of venom." Atramor pauses mid-lunge, re-directing his attack to XX from the back row.
