Now who's gonna be the first mindless machine of logic that has to churn out battle results for Quest 30?
-
And it was closed shortly after because we can just use this topic. If there's actually any news or rumors, you'll know, the next time you check there'll be 4 pages of people discussing it, like Bag End.
-
"I doubt he's gonna just stand there, Cronk, he's more likely to make a break for it to the throne room or somewhere. Then again, I'm sure Nyx'd love another crack at the bastard."
-
How politics suck?
-
"Former pirate. Sort of. Same thing, just more accustomed to the ocean than the highway. Whatever that is. But we can talk later, I think we're in the middle of a heated battle or somethin'."
-
"Agh, damn it, you're right. Well, if he slips off this round and then turns to stand and fight, there's the slightest chance he could get a shield and stun all his enemies/become invulnerable the next round." I think so, CM.
-
"If Alexandre's group moved up a floor, they'd be there in time for Luke to heal Flavius, mate. If they don't, then we're already down a man."
-
I should be in the entrance corridor, as I stated in my last post. Atramor stumbles as an ear-popping boom echoes from the upper floor, but focuses on the battle at hand as enemies pour into the room. When Vipera grants them them the vision of the entire palace, his jaw drops. "...Well...damn." He ducks as he hears ominous, familiar bangs, bullets punching through the door and flying over his head. The moment U'Vires walks in, Atramor's stomach boils over with hatred. Hissing, he lunges from the front row with Ratsbane, knowing that even if he's instantly knocked out, his skills as a witch will take the traitorous U'kin down with him. He couldn't be sealed, poisoned, or cursed, but at least this way, he wouldn't be blazing through the palace gunning down every hero before him.
-
Atramor nodded in agreement in Skrall, moving up to the entrance corridor.
-
Atramor examined the map even more closely, only vaguely listening to the shade's speech. You have to be in the same room as an enemy to fight them, right?
-
Ouch. Well, I didn't expect the Witch's Talisman to have any use at an Expert class anyway. At least it'll give QMs a reason to make more specific artifacts for the classes.
-
Added Quest 28 stuff to the treasury. Something occurred to me - how are artifacts going to be suited to expert classes? It's easy when advanced classes are just a mix of two different ones, for example, a Paladin can use cleric and knight stuff, but what if that paladin becomes a Dragoon? There's a lot of artifacts that are suitable to anyone, but they'd be losing out on a good chunk because they don't fit into any of the basic classes a lot of them are suited for.
-
Atramor nodded to Skrall, raising an eyebrow at Nyx as she chewed on the Dragon Scale and seemed to stare at his chicken...hungrily. McCafferey merely blinked at the battle mage. "I like your plan, mate, but what's the point of havin' me in that corridor? Nobody's even in the Septrine wing, and there's already a team upstairs keeping Ella protected. I'd like to start at the entrance, my witchiness will cripple any of the soldiers who manage to break through. But, if needs be, I'll gladly break off if anyone needs to be or needs healin'. A temporary position, to put it simply. Phil, I think ya' should give one of your Meads to this Skrall guy, and either chug the other one or pass it off to someone else."
-
Dang. A few questions, as you might guess. Does this all count as one battle? (Mostly asking because of effect-based stuff, but I'm also wondering if each room is a separate battle that players move into/out of.) We get decide if/where we move, rather than the ultimate PL, correct? Also, if he is part of the battle, does Phil get to be controlled? "Well, I s'pose this is really it, then, eh?" Atramor can't help but stare at the fully assembled heroes and their help. He tapped on the map with a crooked finger, thoughts pouring through his mind on where to station himself. "If anyone wants to take my advice, I think we should try and block 'em off at the Great Hall and the Corridors connected to the entrance for as long as we can hold out, while a few of whoever goes and finishes this traitor. I for one intend to make my stand at the Great Hall. Give each of those bastards a taste of venom before they go wandering around... And as much as I'd love patchin' up paper cuts and trying to save people from death, my crappy amount of ether's not gonna be much good healing-wise."
-
My power should be 30, and Nyx/Tarn should be fully healed due to Natural Respite. Also, which classes are Lion's Heart suitable for? Atramor opens his mouth to deliver a degrading, humiliating retort to Lyons, but it's cut short at 'I' when Phil splatters the knight's head, and instead he laughs sharply, watching the rest of the heroes wearily get to their feet. The fiery blade of guilt for most of their unconcious is pushed to the side. "We'll have to look for Felton when this hell's over. Only hope he was able to get out or was left behind..." He nodded at Mallelio in understanding, an unspoken 'good luck', and quickly healed both Phil and himself, grumbling at his own inability to draw blood as Vipera ushered them to the palace, McCafferey settling yet again on his shoulder. The glow of his his hands sputtered away due to lack of ether, and he mumbled even more indistinct curses as he was forced to pull the Ether Core out of his cloak. "....So...am I supposed to eat this, or...?" Atramor barely had a moment to think as it dissolved in his hands, restoring his magical energy. He shuddered at the odd feeling, but used the ether to heal Thothwick and William leaving him with 7. So occupied was he, when he next looked up the group had arrived in the palace. He blinked, glancing around impatiently, and then descended on the map. "All looks good to me. Where exactly's the entrance? We should cut them off before they get more'n 10 steps in here."

That's a really amazing MOC, fantastic amount of details. I love the re-used castle look, as well as the sharp contrast of an ordinary town and the uniform military look. I half suspect if you looked hard enough you could find Indiana Jones...
-
I don't really view it as an army builder, but it's more plausible then, say, Weathertop or Shelob Attacks to get more than one, seeing as how Lurtz could pass off as a generic orc.

I love poop and mushrooms! - Poop happens. From Hinckley, likeliest.

Glad to see you back, Sandy. Excited to see what comes up in August. Nur's new class is fitting to his look, Jeb.
-
I think this battle is second closest to failing only behind Nur's miracle in Quest 11.

You labelled Tarn as having rolled Special Damage, but I don't think that's the case. Atramor nearly stumbles backward with the sudden burst of magic, and while pleased to see the Commander once again under his control, he's stricken with horror as Tarn is thrown off the knight's blade. With a hiss, he springs again at the hexed Rogue Lion Commander from the front row. "Nyx, I think you should try and take out Lyons again before Phil gets himself killed, there's no way you could knocked out doin' it." Nyx Atramor Phil
-
Atramor's assuredness after the last round is splintered as Nyx is stunned and injured, their enemies encouraged, and and he fails to heal Phil. "Gah...we're gonna get slaughtered if we take even a scratch, healed or not...but I can't waste this turn..." "Then perhaps you should take a different perspective." He glares slightly as McCafferey, still boredly observing the fight. But both she and Tarn were correct, what else was there to do? His fingers found the hilt of Ratsbane, and ripped the dagger sharply from its sheath, jagged, glimmering blade having not tasted blood once in the battle. He sprinted at Rogue Lion Commander B, however, and swung the weapon upwards towards his face from the front row, knowing this was his last chance to do so. Tarn Atramor Phil

Yeah, it looks more like a clone with that line down the middle. Dang, that would've been an interesting find.
-
Make sure it's identical to LEGO wizard hats, has the same quality, and then take a picture. It could be a prototype, I guess, but I think there's already been red ones for that.

If I've hurt the inanimate chunk of wood's feelings, I'll vote: Julius Burbank/Brickdoctor, because the controversy and overall mess he's tangled up in can't really be resolved by a single investigation. It'd take two for both him and York to be cleared, and by then we could all easy be slaughtered by the Purists. No time to waste, I suppose. We're a crew of action. Apparently. If we're being punished for not taking action. In any case, it's quite hard to judge York's behavior due to his rampant split-personality disorder, so that's a bit of a muddled lead at the moment.
