Whatever. When I hit an Expert Class I can make upwards of a 300 gold profit on the Talisman.

It could be worse.... I still have my Ancient Crown....

Happy anniversary everyone! The festivities look awesome so far! So, does this mean established elementally-protected artifacts such as the Aurora Helmet are actually imbued with gems? And I think the images for Peasant Hood and Leather Cap are mixed up.

"Er, well, Arthur, she predicted this entire battle in the first place, a-" Atramor was cut short, Vipera's vision of the mage consumed in a storm of pink paper. He blinked. Another, smaller storm of gaudy stationary fell from the ceiling of the throne room. He held his hand up to the Rogue Lion Commander as he snatched one, reading over it with some difficulty. "...Hm....I see several mentions of free stuff. Yes, this'll do great..." He scribbled a large A.G using the venom exuded from Ratsbane, and the paper vanished. He returned his attention to the battle at hand, with a shrug.
-
Atramor grins at his successful healing, but it soon disappears, replaced with a grimace as Luke fails his, Phil managing to get himself impaled through the side shortly afterward. He sweeps Ratsbane from its sheath yet again, taking a swing at Rogue Lion Commander D from the front row. "Luke, try and heal up Knyghton. Knyghton, you go for Rogue Lion Commander A, my poison'll finish him soon enough anyway. Don't worry about Phil 'til we have a moment to rest." There's only 7 Chimera Guards in the south corridor, right?
-
Very much worth the wait - that set is both amazing and fairly realistic for LEGO to release. I would definitely buy this. I can't wait to see what else you design. Do you have a part count on it?
-
Right, sorry. "Gah, wait, hold up. Either Tarn or Knyghton switch your target to Rogue Lion Commander D, or we'll take a free hit. Phil can take C."
-
"Aye, and Arthur should use his Mead on William. He and Cronk can keep 'em busy while Arthur puts 'em to sleep."
-
"I'm not sayin' we leave her behind, I'm saying all of us in this hall can't really do anything about it. William, Arthur, and Cronk should be able to stop those Chaos Beasts, though."
-
Rogue Lion Commander B shouldn't actually be Hexed anymore. "Tarn, look. All those Lions north are comin' south at us, XX comin' north, and there's a good chance Blackenord and his Chimera Guards might tag along as well. There's no humanly possible way to survive even getting to the eastern hall. We need to make a stand here for as long as we can. Even if we're all slaughtered anyway, Skrall and everyone else should be able to cut them off by then."

Well, as long as it's stuff that have something to do with what's going on in the Hobbit itself, in some form or another, I'll be content. Even if it's one of Tolkien's writings, if it's a clunky sideplot that doesn't fit into the story, it's a clunky sideplot that doesn't fit into the story. You're right, as long as it's not a needless extension that's really stretching itself to do 3 movies on, it'll be fine by me.

Well, a good portion of The Two Towers movie was Jackson, since it was an extremely short part of the books. From the point of evacuating Edoras up to where the Elves showed up in Helm's Deep, from the Three Hunters perspective, from what I understand, was mostly just filling up a good slot of time. And, well, honestly, I didn't mind. If they took the stuff straight out of the book, the movie would've been 60% Frodo and Sam, 15% Merry and Pippin, 20% Three Hunters. I'm not at all criticizing the book, and even I felt the skewing of distribution of screentime was a bit overt. Still, what he did add fit fairly well into the plot, specifically further explaining the Aragorn/Arwen thing that we'd have to just assume otherwise because it was mostly explained in the books through Aragorn's mind, which obviously they had to make into scenes to convey it to the audience. That's why I'm gonna agree with Falcon and say that there's going to be a lot of storytelling from Gandalf's point of view, and yes, probably enough to make one of the movies entirely about him. I trust Jackson will do a good job with it. And before I get hate for saying the non-Tolkien bits were fine, remember - they can't assume everybody seeing the movie has read the books. What we see as throwing the Aragorn/Arwen relationship into a cliche mess, the casual moviegoer will have a clue as to what the hell is going on. What if that Two Tower portion was completely omitted? Those who haven't read the book would be thinking at the end of Return of the King 'Whoa, who's that elf chick with Aragorn? Wait, wasn't she in the first movie or something?' There's a lot of stuff in the books you just can't pull off completely accurately in a movie, Lord of the Rings in particular, because of the stuff Tolkien writes in context rather than having the characters discuss it. It's what makes his writing so popular, to me, at least, but it's impossible to pull off in a movie unless you explain a bit more through character. Thus the flashbacks in Two Towers, and why I suspect they'll have to show what Gandalf was going in his own journeys during the course of the Hobbit. That's the sort of stuff completely unnecessary and detracts from the movie, to me. If anything could ruin the movies, to me, it's out-of-place sideplots like this that I sincerely hope won't show up.

Atramor sighs, grumbling. "Tarn, we really can't risk sendin' you over there, it'll take far too long..."
-
"Aye, Knyghton, Arthur's right, you should attack from the back row with your crossbow."
-
Cronk rolled a Guardian Angel last round, that might affect things just a little bit. Rogue Lion Commander A should also be Stunned on account of Lion's Heart. None of them should be Encouraged any more, either. Atramor grinned as the heroes from the north corridor rushed inside, whilst Lion Commander B stumbled into a wall. He grumbled, however, as he pulled himself off of Commander E's blade, hissing in pain at the pair of stab wounds he now bore. "Alright then. I'm gonna heal myself, Luke, I suggest tending to Phil, and Alexandre, if you wouldn't mind taking a break and using a Potion on Nyx or Knyghton. I don't think these commanders are going to be much of an issue, but those Lions are gonna be all over us in a few rounds." With that, Atramor hastily brought his hands aglow, attempting to heal himself.
-
I believe Roland.
-
"Eh...Arthur might have a point. And Tarn would probably go and get himself killed trying to save her afterward anyway." "He's insignificant, and as to her-" "Heh, someone's still bitter about someone being immune to their eerie mystery...I agree, ya'll should go for the Chaos Beasts next round." McCafferey makes no mental attempt to continue her statement. Atramor smirks, chuckling to himself.

I don't have any plans to get this, but it's a seriously substantial addition to the series, and one of the best interiors of any LEGO building I've ever seen. It's so cozy and Christmas-sy.

Sorry, the second bit is referring to Flipz, not Flavius. "Oh, apparently you could move to the southern corridor without getting mauled. Damn, I wish I was there, I wanna tangle with those Zootlings again too. Ah, well."
-
I think Flavius fled from the back row, though, while he was still around. Also, if he was low enough in the battle order that a free hit wouldn't have landed on him even if he had stayed, does that mean the only hits he'd be taking are from the Chimera Guards? "Agh...damn it. Stay where you are, then, I suppose. If worst comes to worst, I don't think we need Ella, strictly speakin'..."
-
Oh, awesome. "...On second thought, Phil looks like he's havin' fun bashin' in skulls against the odds. I didn't mean it, Galen. "
-
"Hmm...Arthur, do you think maybe you could head east? XX can't deal free hits, and we're gonna need all the help we can savin' Ella. De'kra could use his Smoke Bomb next round to get ya'll into the eastern corridor if needed, and your scrolls could come in serious handy against those Chaos Beasts."
-
:excited: Awesome!
-
I should have 16 health, and I think you forgot to poison Roland. Also, since you seem to be recording it, XX can't deal free hits either. Atramor takes his quick hexing of the Commander in stride, twisting away from the sword driven into his side, and lunging at his attacker, Rogue Lion Commander B, from the back row. "Phil, Knyghton, take Commanders C and E, respectively, if ya' don't mind. Tarn, I'd go for A, from the front since ya' can't get taken out with that Sand Worm Hide. Er, Nyx....." Atramor hesitates. "...it may not be in the best interest of every to revive Galen. The Lion bastards could easily pin you down while you're tryin' to get him up, and I'm pretty sure we fail the Quest if Phil's knocked out and he's not revived. We've all only got 3 Phoenix Essences left, and the other 2 are on the other side of the palace. Your call, though."

XP bonus! Just for that?
