  1. Yeah, for bribes to actually work, QMs need to offer up better items. Not that Cronk ever would.
  2. These are really nice customs, the later orc designs and most of all, your Rohan ones I could totally see cutting eachother down at the Black Gate. My favorite's definitely the chainmail hooded guy in the first picture - since you'd consider doing specific figures, might I suggest Hama or Gamling? Also, perhaps you'd think about making a banner for the Rohan soldiers, like in orc batch 10?
  3. "Well, Skrall could use the Fishstick too, but there's hardly a point..," noted Atramor, nodding towards the oversize broadsword slung across the Ogre's back, and pocketing the Smelling Salts and coin. "Where I come from, the lootin' usually goes 'if ya' see it, take it'. And, er, 'if someone's reachin' for it, stab 'em'. Simpler, but messier..." He shook his head, turning to the paladins. "Seems ya' certainly didn't have the diplomacy skills to be paladins either, considerin' how badly ya' seem to have gotten taken with that fishin' rod."
  4. Atramor raised an eyebrow as the Angry Seaweed took part in the Roots of Life, growing numerous tendrils and helping to heal the party, and as it smacked the Angry Naga into submission. As soon as it was done, though, it gurgled a satisfied <Had that coming, scales,> and proceeded to slide overboard, landing with a splash in the ocean. He blinked, but was quite proud that, as short as it lasted, he'd had a minion. It was a good feeling, having control over a being entirely devoted to his aid... "Would ya' look at that, we all got experience and a nice pile of loot for just a Grand Tonic and a Nostrum. A good trade, I'd say. Well, I've already got a new weapon, I don't think the Aquamarine would be of any particular value to me, and I can heal myself if I need to. So...Smellin' Salts or just gold, if ya' don't mind, Boomin'ham." He then leaned against the railing of the ship, scrubbing bits of seaweed off of Ratsbane, and snake blood off of the Heavy Flail and the Staff of the Elven Warlock, using his cloak.
  5. You should also add that the Slayer's avatar must have at least one skull in it. The example picture you have is very fitting. It spells overkill.
  6. Hmm...I like your suggestion. Alright, I can remove the shield. Even if people would utilize spells more than the imbuing, that's their own playing style. I love the idea of Slayer. The rolls are a bit plain, but considering how much raw damage they could be dishing out, it makes sense. I think they might a bit overpowered, though. What happens when an enemy comes out with, say, 5 minions? WP: 15 x 6 is a whopping 90 damage, for a miss, ignoring SP. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of it. I suggest you limit the Merciless thing, using what you have described as a Merciless Hit to a roll of 2, and just use a normal hit for a roll of 3. Alternatively, maybe you switch out the number of enemies in battle to the number of enemies the Slayer has killed for the duration of the quest. The bonus would balance out a lot better, and would put the focus on killing as many enemies as possible, as you define Slayer. Also, I think Coup de grace (from Swashbuckler), if edited a bit, would actually suit Slayer quite well. For example, the Slayer gains the Encouraged effect after finishing an enemy for the duration of the battle. Oddly, I think if you switched it out for Unencumbered, and moved that trait to Swashbuckler, the traits would fit both classes even better. I could picture Atramor going this class as well, but I think Guts would probably be the most fitting person for it.
  7. Shoot, I knew I saw that idea somewhere else. Sorry. Primarily it's to ease the issue of weapon special effects and mages, and yes, to save ether - though it might just be my own personal views on the subject. If Atramor goes Necromancer, I don't plan to use spells, period, simply because the undead burn up so much ether and there's interesting weapons I have at my disposal. Still, it's nice to have the option anyway. Not to mention that Imbuing twice, or just getting a Greater Imbuing, you can imbue a weapon with multiple elements, which can be extremely beneficial. The raw damage could really pile up - at the cost of massive amounts of ether, and by extension, spell access. It's called Spellblade simply because it's focusing on the balance between spell usage and weapons. Hell, even if you planned to use just spells, you could still pick up a 50 coin shield and imbue it a bit to keep yourself alive. And I think Job Traits have a maximum of 3, not a requirement. I was going to add in Diplomacy, but again, I'm afraid I'm just making a more powerful Mystic Knight, and it's just one more similarity. This class is so far out from the regular Knight class - waving a shield around doesn't mean you're good at talking. Plus, this class is also a bit more offense-based. If you have an idea for it, shoot.
  8. Spellblade These knights rely on elemental powers to give their attacks more strength. Weapons: Spellblades use versatile weapons like longswords, greatswords, axes, maces, and spears. They also wield shields and gems. Additional Health: +10 Additional Ether: +5 Job Traits: Spellcasting: (See Mage), Enchantment: The Spellblade may imbue their weapons/shields with elements for the duration of the next battle at the cost of 5 ether per imbuing. Battle Style: Enchanting - Spellblades use their enemy's elemental strengths and weaknesses against them. 1. SHIELD: Elemental Embodiment - The Spellblade takes their (random, if the Spellblade wasn't casting a spell or imbuing) element to heart. For the duration of the battle, all attacks with this element, both by the Spellblade and allies, deal x4 damage to opponents weak to it. Any enemy attacks of this element against an ally or the Spellblade that are immune to the element have the damage reflected back at them. 2. CRITICAL HIT/GREAT SPELL/GREAT IMBUING: The Spellblade attacks the target with strength equal to twice their weapon power added to their level, or with an elemental spell with the same power at the cost of 1 ether. Optionally, they may choose to imbue their shield or their weapon with up to 2 elements for the duration of the battle, at the cost of 5 ether. Imbued weapons deal elemental damage in relation to their imbued elements. Imbued shields nullify any damage whose element is imbued in the shield. (WP: 15 x 2 + level 30 = 60 (elemental) damage) 3. HIT/SPELL/IMBUING: The Spellblade attacks the target with strength equal to their weapon power added to their level, or with an elemental spell with the same power at the cost of 1 ether. Optionally, they may choose to imbue their shield or their weapon with an element for the duration of the battle, at the cost of 5 ether. Imbued weapons deal elemental damage in relation to their imbued elements. Imbued shields nullify any damage whose element is imbued in the shield. (WP: 15 + level 30 = 45 (elemental) damage) 4: ELEMENTAL AURA: The Spellblade conjures a lingering aura of (random, if the Spellblade wasn't casting a spell or imbuing) elemental defense on a random ally at the cost of 3 ether. The ally is immune to attacks of that element for the next 3 rounds. 5. DEFENDED DAMAGE: The Spellblade is hit with the enemy's attack. A shield reduces damage taken. If the enemy's attack is elemental, and the element is imbued in the knight's shield, nothing happens. (Level 20 enemy - SP: 10 = damage taken) 6. SPECIAL DAMAGE: The Spellblade is hit with the enemy's skill. If the enemy's attack deals any raw elemental damage, and the element is imbued in the knight's shield, the damage is nullified, but all other effects are not prevented as a result. Too overpowered, too similar to Mystic Knight or too complicated? I tried to keep it balanced by making the imbuings cost more ether. Even if it never happens, making up classes is fun.
  9. Thanks, Scuba. Voodoo pirate was what I was going for, it did seem the best way tie in the class to Atramor's character. Honestly, it's a lot more effective than I thought, nearly the entire reason I became the class was because of the availability of the (at the time, only) Witch's Talisman, but the extra HP, healing opportunities, and especially Special Mirror make a lot more useful than I anticipated. I like how you seemed to nudge Guts towards Raider in Quests 20 and 34 - he seemed to get quite a bit more gruff than the average rogue, and it definitely fit in mechanics-wise - it was the only advanced class that could effectively be compounded with the Mead/Nostrum/Smelling Salts combination, and he was a serious destructive force during Quest 39. It was a choice that really fit with his entire character. And most importantly, congratulations for managing to bring such character to one of the most aggravatingly generic LEGO faces on the planet. I picture Guts every time I see it now.
  10. Alas, if only Skrall could wield Ratsbane, and we ran into some rats, then you could prove it in this quest.
  11. I'm changing the Horse to an amulet sort of thing like it was agreed (if I remember right), could I replace it with this picture, Doc, to make sense of the change?
  12. Hope is the quintessential human delusion, simotaneously the source of our greatest strength and out greatest weakness. ...And weakness leads to death. In hindsight, I wonder if anyone gets that quote's meaning or origin. Oh well.
  13. But suffering eventually leads to sweet, blissful death, doesn't it? I just realized I'm like 10 Quests behind on the Treasury. Shoot.
  14. You can read about scrolls here.
  15. When did she say this? That's an awful logical insistence. The assumption is that it's more likely that either the scum has no killer, or that they killed one of themselves, than it is that there's simply not an SK?? Now I'm unsure as to who brought this up, but whoever it was needs to lay off the weed. Seriously, the weeds growing out of the sidewalk over there make you do some crazy stuff. Chews on some more good ol' fashioned grass.
  16. I'm saying it's funny how the difference between a slash and parentheses can have such an impact on someone's life or death. If you use a slash your vote doesn't count. Be careful, I get the worst cases of BIIFD from bananas... Gnaws on grass. Not like grass. Grass has always been there for me.
  17. I think he traded for a Scroll of Confusion, because Arthur already had one of them and Fragile is a rare effect to be dealt in battle, so De'kra probably wouldnt've gotten much use out of it. And I have to agree, I can see some awesome use of it in the future.
  18. Atramor grins at the extreme effect Ratsbane has on the opposing seaweed, and at his own sealife minion as it Stuns the enemy crab. Sliding the dagger back into its sheath, he pulls out the as-of-yet unused Staff of the Elven Warlock. Maybe his recent training with the Heavy Flail would make it a bit less unwieldy, as he'd usually seen staves. Both he and his Angry Seaweed made their way to the weakened, poisoned Angry Naga, both attacking from the front row. "Nyx, if ya' wanna play it safe, ya' could take advantage of the Angry Crab while it's unable to attack."
  19. Never before in my life has the difference between a slash and parentheses been a life or death decision. Vote: Casey Cat (Scouty). Chews on grass.
  20. Alcohol leads to arguments...arguments lead to conflict....conflict leads to character development...character development leads to roleplaying.
  21. Please tell me somebody else also finds both of these suggestions crazy. Unless there's another killer that's been blocked every single night so far, it hardly makes sense for the axe killer not to be the scum killer. Unless our god is insane and expects the townies to drop dead themselves so the scum don't have to lift a finger. Or if the scum really went out and killed one of their own. Chews more grass. Anywho. I'm going to Vote: Casey Cat/Scouty, for reasons And if it doesn't go well, I think there's a pig to be roasted tomorrow. I have to agree with Pancho, it's likely one or the other. Both have been suspicious enough (and in similar ways) to me to warrant my vote. Whoops. That should be 'for reasons Cameron best summarized.'
  22. Hypocrite...
  23. Atramor grins as he realizes the seaweed is actually helping them - and that he'd summoned it. "That's gotta be one of the weirdest things I've seen in my life...but as long as he helps, I suppose." He acknowledged Boomingham's request, stowing the flail in exchange for Ratsbane. The repeatedly imbued weapon should quadruple the damage dealt to Plants, so it was without question that he hacked at the opposing Angry Seaweed from the front row. Seeing the crab prying its claws away from Nyx and scuttling towards him, he diverted his strike briefly, swiftly kicking the friendly, yet Angry pile of Seaweed towards the Angry Crab in front row.
  24. I laughed. Atramor stumbled away from the Angry Naga as its furious hissing summoned a large, sentient chunk of seaweed from the side of the ship. Without thinking, he repeated the sound, and another mass of sealife splattered onto the deck. The Witch merely blinked at it, shook his head in dissappointment, and lunged yet again at the Angry Naga from the front row from with the Heavy Flail. He didn't see the Angry Seaweed glowing a faint orange and throwing itself at its twin from the front row. It emitted an odd gurgling sound as it did so, its translation only audible to Ellaria due to her druidic Animal Talk. <You lousy son of a bitch! This is for festering your slimy filth on my turf!>
  25. Nice new avatar(s). Though I think you should pose normal Thormanil as you did Thormana, it's tough to see him properly in that picture.
