  1. Sorry about that. I just could not believe anyone was buying that theory, and I hate when such an obvious lynch manages to talk their way out of it. My activity wasn't great, to be honest. I felt like just a sheep up until Day Six, but at least I was purposely trying to be somewhat quiet this time. The fact that our investigator was outed so early made me even more sure I had to stay alive. I'm sorry it ended so terribly, WBD. I figured the fact that our vig was already dead and you claiming he was given a one-shot kill made me so sure you were the SK, when in actuality you really were decimating the scum for only the townies. You deserved to win. DD too, I didn't suspect you at all up until I tracked you and you claimed tracker. If we hadn't pulled together so well at that point, you were set up to crush us. It was really fun this time to be within the town block this time. After Day Four, I thought were screwed, with our vig and investigator gone and Hinck turned up scum (though at that point I assumed he had most of the PR names already. ), so I was relieved when Draggy contacted me and it turned out we still had most of our roles. I really loved this game, both presentation-wise and gameplay-wise.
  2. If it's a form of damage, then Guardian Angel should protect from it, I think.
  3. De'kra's cloak shimmers slightly as he peers beyond the fourth wall... Bonaparte Cadet Morgan Level 16 Humanoid (Fights in back row. Halved damage from melee attacks.) Health: 166/166 Special: Explosive Bombardment – Deals 2-12 damage to each hero and has a 1/6 chance to deal the Stunned effect to each for the next round. Drops: Explosive Handcannon - (WP: 8, double WP to rock monsters), 20 gold Immune to Confused and Asleep Bonaparte Cadet Henry Level 22 Humanoid Health: 249/249 Defense: 1 Special I: Blockade – Doubles his SP. Next round, this SP will be applied to Morgan as well. Special II: Shield…Stab…Bash…Attack….Thing – Deals damage equal to SP and the Weakened effect for the next 3 rounds. Resets SP to 1. Has a 1/3 chance to activate on every Special Damage, but is used automatically on Special Damage after SP reaches 8. Drops: 30 gold Immune to Fragile and Weakened
  4. I think the latter. The reason he had a circular arc reactor in Avengers is because Joss Whedon didn't like the trianglular one.
  5. Depends on where you're building for. Hovels, obviously, are going to look very different than the street next to Hinckwell Villa.
  6. No, you're on the right side of the building. By looking to the left, you can see the guards. You can't tell if there's windows or not without walking out of the alley. The picture is just misleading.
  7. The heroes have only seen the back and right side of the building, which were just plain walls without doors or windows.
  8. Now I really need to form that union.
  9. Atramor chuckles dryly at Boomingham's comment. "That was well over two centuries ago, ya' know. Doubt any orcs there were in the war at all." Before the paladin can respond, the witch slips off, ending up nearby the man in pink by the slave cages. "Hey, mate. Interestin' auction, aye...?"

The heroes leave the alleyway and step out into the sunny port. Numerous sailors yell at eachother from ship to ship, lugging around crates or holding bottles of ale and rum. The harbormaster's office is a rather small building, made mostly of striking white stone layered with brick and wood. Arthur and Thalion pause at the mouth of the alley, however; a pair of guards stands in front of the entrance. At least one is wearing the crisp uniform of a Bonaparte cadet - the other seems to be, under heavy plate armor. Still standing off to the right side of the building, and under the shadow of the buildings behind them, the heroes have not yet been spotted. What will the party do?
  11. "Oh, no. Even in the event that it's somehow activated, despite the fact that it wasn't assembled when it was shipped, I'm sure the automaton can take whatever's thrown at it. If on the chance you do fight it, simply remove its Ether Core once you've defeated it, and it will remain deactivated." "I've not met Avina, and, well, it would not do good to our reputation knowing her shipment's been stolen....she remains under the impression it's still being constructed. I'd rather that not change. In any case, your mission is to locate the automaton, not discerning the reasoning behind its disappearance...though the information may be of assistance to us in the future."
  12. "The automaton is humanoid in shape. It is considerably well-armored, and ornamented with the Ji Pei colors. It's an advanced model, so it's more streamlined than prototypes." "The customer's name is one Avina Truenal, I believe she's part of a wealthy family of merchants and historians. She purchased the automaton as a guard, so it's designed for combat. We have had shipments go missing in the past on the way to Eubric, but nothing as significant as this. We assume they've merely fallen victim to common pirates, but this shipment was only a day away, and we took measures to ensure the crew of the Wavebreaker would be prepared."
  13. "My thoughts precisely. The Wavebreaker is nothing particularly notable as far as appearance goes, but its name should be on the stern and I believe it's trimmed in blue."
  14. Atramor crosses his arms as he observes the spectacle - or, the sale, rather. "No flat-out attack, huh? If I could sneak a bomb underneath that scaffolding, it'd be a hell of a distraction."
  15. There aren't any visible windows, but Arthur can only see the back and one side of the building until he leads the heroes out of the alley.
  16. "No, no solitary person or event. To put it in its most reduced terms, the Bonapartes fear us; they fear progress." "Yes, the Wavebreaker was due to arrive late in the third week of Harvest." "Oh, I'll be waiting here for you. This is just to get an idea of how to proceed, I don't suspect it would take too long."
  17. Another great one. I'm jealous of your cheese slope collection.
  18. "That's the situation for now, yes."
  19. I can only imagine. Suddenly, all the enemies find themselves Badly Poisoned at Wren's chaotic will. The entire party seems confused, but quickly become downright horrified when they discover Haldor's become Lucky as well.
  20. "No. The journey was hardly long enough for the shipment to run into any pirates, and once this other hero shows up, I'll exp- ah, there he is. Brilliant." Chalvo nods towards Barur. "Now I can give you the full picture." "As you should very well know, the Ji Pei are at the pinnacle of technological advancement in the area. A few months ago, we received an order for one of our state-of-the-art fully-automized automatons. Development took place at the Tritech Company complex, they handle the manufacturing of devices so exquisite. It was completed not too long ago, and a ship was contracted to convey it and its assembly diagrams to Eubric. We do, of course, have other means of transporting things here....but means far too majestic for something as menial as a delivery...Though, in hindsight, that would've saved quite a bit of trouble..." "The ship, the Wavebreaker, never seemed to have arrived in Eubric. It certainly should not have taken more than a day to reach port, and the crew was supposed to bring the shipment straight to Ji Pei Palace for me to deliver to the customer. Now, I've been looking into this for quite some time. If they simply took off with the automaton, or if it was raided by privateers, they wouldn't be caught dead coming back to Eubric....if that's the case, I fear that trying to find the ship among thousands in the known world is almost pointless...I do, however, my suspicions as to what may have happened to it. The docks here are controlled by the Bonapartes. There are several harbormasters, and as far as I can tell, every single one served with them at some point. It's...possible, if the ship did actually arrive, that the cargo may have been confiscated. The Bonapartes have no respect for those outside of their ill-advised system, as recent events in the local Hovels do so attest to. They have a deep-seated mistrust for our house." "It's the only lead we have, unless we start scouring the entire ocean." He turns, gesturing down the other end of the alley, through which the heroes can see wooden piers and ships. "That is where the docks really begins. This building we're standing behind is one of the harbormaster offices; this one would’ve been overseeing the dock the Wavebreaker was scheduled to arrive at. If there's any record of where the cargo may have went - and I little doubt there is, we could elaborate on the shortcomings of the Bonapartes all day, but being disorganized isn't one of them - that's where it would be found. I have no qualms about how you get inside, I assure you, but if you take a more diplomatic approach, do not implicate the Ji Pei. You would be only stoking the flames between us and them. If you manage to find any records that may have something to do with it, bring it back to me. Any inquiries?" Party Arthur Justus Regulus VII (played by Flipz) *Immune to Sealed* *Party Leader* (Forgot to note so in the chosen heroes post ) Level 17.5 Sorcerer Power: 29 Health: 27/27 Ether: 27/27 Defense: 3 Gold: 0 Equipment: Sir Roderick's Sword (WP:12, Darkness elemental), Robe of the Archmagi (SP:3, Max Ether +5, Immune to Sealed), Lens of Speed Reading (Accessory, Allows a scroll to be read in addition to a normal action. 21. Chalvo is seemingly baffled by the talks of demons, Ziegfrieds, and zombie children. "I...suppose you've all had some experience, then. Exceptional." "I don't have many tales to tell; at least, none that would interest heroes such as yourselves. I rarely deal with the construction of the fantastic devices the house comes up with, I'm far more involved with how and where these contraptions get to the places they're meant to go. The worst I've dealt with yet are pirates. Doubtless the machinery being shipped would be worth quite a bit on the black market." He frowns at Arthur's last comment. "I don't know where you've heard such rumors, but...you may soon find them less than enigmatic."
  22. Arthur digs up a few cobblestones, demonstrating Eubric's poor infrastructure and lack of treasure.
  23. Arthur spots a couple of loose cobblestones amongst literally millions lining the ground to form a street, if that's what he means. A few of the passerby give him odd looks as he points his telescope across the street. He sees several obvious Bonapartes in uniform pass by, patrolling, but they don't seem too interested in the heroes or Chalvo.
  24. "I'm concerned that we're standing mere feet away from the Bonaparte's domain while I'm briefing you about your job, but it's only being careful."
  25. Draggy had sent me a message saying if he died that night (Night 5, I think) to lynch you, then WBD, then Pandora, though. The game still would've ended Day Seven, assuming everybody trusted Draggy because he turned up town. Don't blame WBD, he wasn't even scum yet at that point.
