Atramor glanced over his shoulder at the colorful squad of robots. He looked fairly uninterested, currently in the middle of taking a long inspection of the Destiny's Bounty. He couldn't help but be impressed by the airship. "Huh? Oh, aye. Nice machines," he remarked off-handedly, catching the Toolbox.

"Th-They say they're wolfmen, or....s-something...always g-going on about them....the Baron w-wouldn't understand, he'd p-probably try to attack, and we'd all b-be killed!" "No, their leader's name is Reg.....R-Reg Goldjaw, he says..." -
I've always run it where effects are taken into account on Counterstrike.

Silver City Mafia: Day 5 - Unforgiven

The All-Seeing Carletta Emilia Benita Anne-Marie Rosita Jeanette Priscilla Lucia Annabelle Cecilia Maria Louisa Garcia Giuliana Vittoria Roberta Consuela Rosalina Margarita Puerta apologizes. She got side-tracked late yesterday and ended up a bit lost after that role cop issue. She's uncertain about Michael's allegiance. Maybe he was scum and they wanted keep his accusers guessing, or maybe he was town and they wanted to just sow confusion? She's leaning towards the former, but supposes we'll never know. (Unless janitorings wear off after some time, which she can vaguely recall from previous situations such as this.) Abigail has picked up in activity and made meaningful contributions yesterday. Her suspicions of Abigail are quite lessened by this. Boris, however, remains on her list. Janitors usually have limited uses, which is why it's more likely Michael was scum and they wished to hide it, else they probably would've it earlier on a different townie. You voted for him, what makes you think he was probably town rather than scum? She understands if you're just listing possibilities, but your logic has been quite off most of our time here... The All-Seeing Carletta's been thinking about this too. Perhaps it was Michael, the scum knew, and wanted to hide it, or perhaps the poisoner was blocked, or his target protected, or maybe it's been delayed again? Maybe Tristan is right, and Kenneth didn't kill to make it look like the blocker/protector got lucky last night? She's unsure about the case on him. The theory about the lack of poison kill days one and two makes sense, but she thinks he's been fairly pro-town. She implores our protector and/or blocker, if either is alive, to consider their targets last night. We need some kind of information. Even if Michael was scum, it's still dangerously close. And what of the role-cop, Tristan? Does he have new information you could share with us? -
I'm liking this ship. It's asymmetric, yet looks very sleek and refined. I love the subtle splashes blue on it, as well as the missile pods. The dishes make it stand out in particular.

Moke lets out a terrified squeak at the sight of Dreyrugr and his scythe. "O-Okay, okay! I've b-been giving a portion of it to some m-men in the sewers just n-n-north of here, they threaten to attack if I d-don't! I just want to k-k-keep everyone safe, alright...?!" -
"S'pose it couldn't hurt to have him with us. But I'm with Tesni, I wanna see these automata before we head out too." "Aye, I can't say I trust the things, but as long as they're made only to fight these damn bandits...."

"N-No, everyone's kind about it, th-they understand it's going r-right back into the well-being of Zylstra....taxes aren't all that much...." -
"Atramor Gibbin," replied the witch to the hooded elf, with a nod. "And who's the gator guy?"
-
Probably. But their earnings won't be as nearly ridiculous as they were after the consumable strategy came up and before the nerf, which was the problem in the first place. Rogues have been making a hell of a lot more than they were before Mead/Nostrum/Smelling Salts came up. Extra spending money is okay. Enough spending money to make other classes obsolete isn't, no matter how much of it they share.

"He'll be back in a moment. It won't come to killing him, I can guarantee you that." "Quite all right. He's a mysterious man." "He doesn't need a pardon. You have no authority down here, period. The only reason I'm letting you speak to him is that, misguided and overestimating your authority or not, you're trying to do a decent enough thing, and I need this done anyway. Why haven't I done it? I only recently discovered this all, and wasn't sure how to take care of it without making a scene...this way, I can just reinforce the idea that you humans are too violent to try to interact with us, and I can still have this issue taken care of." The Baron smiles, satisfied with himself. "I doubt he-" Moke returns again, huffing and puffing, his arms full of the heroes' weapons. He walks around, allowing each one to take back their arms. The Baron then stands, polishing off his wine, his usual confident grin returning. "I must go see how the renovations on Shelby's shop are doing. Moke, my good fellow, entertain our guests!" He leaves without waiting for an answer, leaving the party along with Moke. "Ahh, ehm, hello, th-here, then." -
Umm, I wouldn't say strongest... I just bought 3 Mulled Wines leaving me with 82 gold. Atramor glanced around at all the strange etchings and carvings in the walls of signs and symbols he couldn't even guess a meaning for. It was a pretty off place compared to, well....everywhere else in Eubric, which they'd supposedly helped design. He turned to Shanxian, and nodded. "Aye, we'll make sure not a single rottin' ninja bastard crawls outta those caves with more than one limb attached." '~What an eloquent first impression.~' The witch ignored McCafferey, once more perched on his shoulder and speaking in silence to him. "Any details ya' can give us? Every word helps, with the beatin' I heard they gave they last party...gotta be ready for 'em."
-
Atramor was quick to scoop up 3 Mulled Wines as he left the Hall for Ji Pei Palace, leaving him with 82 gold.

...Kind of forgot about those. "Hmph. Not likely, he hasn't left since he arrived." "The bloody voice of reason at last. I don't like being lied to, for the future." The Baron grumbled. "You just want to chat with him? Unusual. He said any visitors would probably just be there to kill him....and I still have no reason to believe you won't. Now tha-" Moke suddenly returned, with a small bottle of wine. He had barely set it down when the Baron waved him away again. "Go get their weapons, too." Moke merely nodded, running off. The Baron popped open the bottle and poured it into a glass he'd pulled from under his desk. "Now that we're all being....supposedly....honest here, maybe we can strike an arrangement. It's obvious enough we're not that much of a town to look at, which, specifically, is several months behind my expectations. Moke has one job - collect money from the people and bring it to me. And he can't even do that right. Some of it vanishes before it even gets to me. I know it for certain by now, I've talked the numbers with everyone myself. I don't know what the hell he's been doing with it; and if I don't know everything that goes on down here, I'm not content. Put an end to it. He has the spine of a sewer maggot, so confronting him should work easily enough." -
A paradox, of course. (Instant death to all combatants.)
-
He means as a QM. Yes, it annoys me, but it's already been nerfed once. Some Defense on the tougher enemies can help prevent it, as most Counterstriking strategies involve being in the back row, and the halved damage would be pretty much useless against them. A taste of their own medicine, so to speak.

"Our kind does we need to to survive in your cutthroat surface world. He sought refuge here, yes, and has caused us no trouble at all since. In fact, the very rumor of him keeps people like yourself out of here. Arrest him? Hah. He's told me his stories himself. If half of them are true, I pity you for thinking you could hold your own against him. Why should I lead you to him?" -

"Hm. Afraid I don't know any Padfoots. Padfeet? Ah, whatever. Moke. Go bring me some of Vinum's best wine. The gnomish financier runs off. The Baron leans back in his seat and looks from one party member to the next. "So I take you're here to kill our little halfling houseguest, are you? I'm afraid you'll find yourselves quite outmatched - not that you're going to find him. We take care of eachother down here. This isn't the slaughterhouse life it is on the surface." -

"Aha, yes indeed, my old friend." "Th-Thank you, sir. I m-manage the finances...don't do much but collect the taxes, the Baron d-decides where the money goes." "Recently we've been working on fixing up some of the buildings. My office, of course, is meticulous, but I'm having Maggie fix up the shop and the Sluice. Won't get much business when the insides of our homes are as clean as the sewers they're in, eh? Haha!" -
