  1. Congratulations in advance for your bastard child, Ms. Tennant. That'll be two fifty. The Maleficent Carletta Emilia Benita Priscilla Lucia Cecilia Maria Giuliana Roberta Consuela Rosalina Margarita Puerta is disappointed Esther showed up town. At least we don't have to deal with her silly games anymore. Is anyone else getting a bit uneasy about this being the second single night kill in a row?
  2. Your drops aren't cool enough to be broken, Zepher.... In all honesty you haven't dropped any really overpowered items, so you've got the balance down.
  3. I have an artifact in mind that grants gold on successful heals, kind of like Mercutio's Blessing but for Clerics.
  4. I still think it'd be too big of a change. How would you even do it, anyway? Have Sandy put a value on every single artifact with more than 3 SP and refund all of them? I don't think it's that necessary.
  5. I noticed Ian Holm's name in the credits, but couldn't recognize him in the movie. I saw Aliens first, but it didn't ruin this movie all that much the first time I saw it. I knew Ripley would live, but I was nonetheless excited to see what exactly went down. I was glad to see a lot more terror behind the xeno rather than in Aliens. In the latter, the problem is 'how do we kill all of them?' and in the first, it's more 'how do we survive against this?' which makes it a much more intense experience.
  6. Atramor respects Tarn enough not to open his mail....he'll settle for reading it over his shoulder. Is the Stealer from the future or something? That's some really advanced stuff.
  7. Atramor couldn't help but glance over Tarn's shoulder at the letter. He'd been carrying it for six months, he'd resisted the curiosity enough to deliver the thing sealed.
  8. Go on a Zepher Quest before you say that.
  9. Just saw Alien for the second time. It and Prometheus are about the close I'll come to a horror movie. It was really good, I liked having a realistic sci-fi for a change. The first twenty minutes was just landing the shuttle. But I still loved the pacing of the whole thing.
  10. I remember spending what seemed like hours trying to get through that damn Gunship level. I'd get right up to the end, and fail to hit those damn shield generators.
  11. "Aha, see? We can all be reasonable, can't we? Now, I think it'd be best if we all went back to our lives...no need to crowd the new guests, is there? The majority of the population shuffles out of the mushroom, shrugging. The Baron nods and smiles to the party as he departs. "Now, I'm sure I can help to solve any questions you might have involving Zylstra. Come see me in my office when you're ready - that is, the gray building. And don't worry, my friend, you'll see the inside of my hat yet, hehah!" "My stock is back at the shop - the little brown building, can't miss it. Swing by when you get a chance, I've got all sorts of things! Name's Shelby, by the way/" The gnome is the last to exit the mushroom, leaving only two.
  12. That takes away thousands of gold from a lot of people. Taking it away completely isn't a good idea in my opinion. Knights are still the only ones who can effectively tank, SP is just to keep the common hero alive. Has anybody mentioned how high the levels of a lot of enemies tend to be now?
  13. "Been thinkin' about it. It'd be good to Quest with ya' again, hack up some ninjas. Aye, from Dastan...hundred gold says I can nail down from who, too," Atramor grinned.
  14. "Heh, thought it might be ya' under the mask," chuckled Atramor, taking a seat across from the barbarian. "Aye, it's been a while. All's well enough. Went to Strivvi, finished Wren, hunted down a mad mage, broke a curse on a play...all sorts of stuff. Speakin' of Wren, Mallelio showed up to help fight her, and...lemme see...." He pulled his cloak open, digging around for what seemed like minutes before his hand came up with a letter. Stained with blood, rum, crumpled, worn, but ultimately still unopened. He pushed it across the table. "Dunno what you've been up to since Dastan, but it seems ya' haven't been forgotten there, mate."
  15. Atramor returned to the hall, the icy cold Pheles Rod balanced on his shoulder as he held it in place. He took a long glance over the Quest board as he passed it, making a mental note to sign up for one later. He scooped up a bottle of his favorite rum off the bar and was halfway to his table before passing by a strange-looking man. The mask was pretty off, and for a raider, he wore an awful lot of armor. But that halberd...where'd he seen it before? Atramor frowned, walking over to the man before finally placing the face, hiding underneath the strange mask. "Tarn?" questioned the witch, blinking. Sorry for interrupting Scorpiox, but I have a message for him that's about three Quests overdue.
  16. "I would not consider it a weapon, except I think some dried blood on it. And of course, if you set them down, I would let you try on my hat....please see reason, your fellows have done as we wish, will not you? I simply want to maintain the peace here, and we're all unarmed."
  17. Less high SP artifacts and more high SP shields being dropped works, for me.
  18. I think the SP thing is just a matter of the market being oversaturated with artifacts granting high defense...but remember, nobody but Knights can efficiently upgrade their SP. I think if QMs better regulate it, it won't get too obscenely high. Minus the one-off Fur Coat, the highest SP an artifact has is 6.
  19. "Just a jest sir, though me and my town would appreciate it if you'd drop your arms. They call me the Baron, welcome to my little kingdom. This hat our young scavengers found, and it's just so utterly amazing I can't seem to take it off. And without meaning offense, I'd like it if you'd set down your weapons before we open up trade..."
  20. In the High Kingdoms?
  21. Welcome to the most hated and yet most deviously fun advanced class in Heroica.
  22. Don't know if you're joking or not, but the Orcish Invasion was definitely more significant, it formed Heroica and they nearly conquered the High Kingdoms.
  23. If they have at least four undead, yeah.
  24. Atramor dumped a trio of weapons, the Guard's Dagger, Shield, and the Rebel's Longsword on the floor of Anwyl's. The dwarf-esque blacksmith grumbled, chucking each into a furnace for scrap and paying 105 gold to Atramor, but he returned 500, along with his Diamond, Amethyst, Ratsbane and Pheles Rod. "Slap as many gems into that thing as ya' can." Anwyl picked up the staff carefully, thoroughly unnerved by its icy touch, but being the well-worn blacksmith he was, didn't stray from his craft. When he handed back the Rod, the faintly glowing blue end was pulsating with a myriad of colors, white purple, red, teal, blue, and brown. "Thanks." He nodded to the blacksmith, and returned to the hall, examining his new weapon with interest.
  25. Atramor chuckled and shook his head as Tesni cracked down fairly literally on the angry dwarf. Between him, Althior, and the screaming gator-man, he was beginning to think he wouldn't get a moment of quiet. He polished off one last bottle of rum before heading to the marketplace briefly.
