  1. "Perhaps not. But rebellion is a dirty business." "I do not have the time to lecture you on her thousand missteps. Ask my followers." Rusealote regards Purpearl almost sadly. "Our kind have grown apathetic to the struggles of the lesser races. I intend to change this. We cannot ignore the outside world forever."
  2. Troy Baker voiced the Joker in Arkham Origins. Arkham City was the last time Hamill was the Joker.
  3. "Hell if I know. All I know is we can't have a traitorous brat like that leading anything."
  4. They're phasing out the old gen faster than I expected. This looks phenomenal, but...I really, really need to play Asylum and Origins first. I just loved Arkham City.
  5. Rusealote displays little body language. She looks somewhat aged, even for an elf. "I have plans, yes. They begin with freeing these people from Bastala's brutish tyranny." "You enjoy this too much, human."
  6. "Cursin' is unbecomin' of clerics? No wonder I was such garbage at healin'." Atramor pocketed the Nostrum and gold, following the party. "No sense in feelin' bad about these idiots. They chose to run up to us and die, we hardly hid the fact that we're armed and prone to beatin' the crap outta people when provoked."
  7. "How do you get from 'testin' your strength' to 'runnin' off like a cornered rat'?" Atramor shook off the stunned effect, pulling the General's Dagger from his boot and stabbing the Nightmaster from the back row.
  8. "I am a leader, not brute muscle. I rally the people." "Relic from my days in the High Kingdoms. I served my country for decades, but learned in time everything boiled down to the greed of the kings. I grew disillusioned." "Hah. Nobody likes Bastala. That's why the three of us leaders here tolerate one another. We work towards a common goal. Even some humans grow weary of her rule. The other clans would agree as well. I would be a far better leader." "Indeed. I am an elf. We could plan years in advance. It is advantageous, most times, but useless while living among shorter-lived, rasher species."
  9. Because that went so well in Quest 53.
  10. "Good to hear, here I was thinkin' ya'd lost your touch, it'd be just a damn shame to not get my head bashed open every once in a while." Atramor stows the Tiger Claws, instead drawing the Pheles Rod and swinging at Goon twice from the back row.
  11. The ogre blinks in surprise as Thormanil jumps onto him. He reaches backwards, seizing the dragoon by the ankle and dangling him in the air in front of the crowd. "See what poison humans throw against us? Baseless accusations, pointless assaults! This is the kind of madness Bastala lets into our city! We MUST make her see reason!" The crowd in front of the ogre rallies together, several of them throwing rocks at Thormanil and dealing 10 damage. After a minute, the ogre sets him down. "I will not be slandered by some fool human trying to threaten me. I am Nolgash, and I have no arms." The old human laughs hoarsely and waves his sword. Another orc joins the attempts to tear down the barricade. "Another man here to join the cause! Good, good. I'm Morrison. Word around the block is that Bastala got the vikings to take out Grishnod. I left the Kingdoms to get away from this political crap, damn it, I'm not about to let it destroy this city, too. Even some of the locals agree with me! We're gonna take down this barricade and give that bitch a piece of our minds!" The elf looks down at Dyric, with a nod. "So it is. After months of this leader pushing around the commoners and dividing the people, I'd say our day of reckoning is long past due. And it seems the people agree with me!" At her encouragement, a number of orcs shoved their way to the front of the crowd, heading right for the barricade. "Apologies, my name is Rusealote. Your support to our cause is much appreciate." Alexandre notices something off with the rioters; some of the rioters are shoving or even hitting one another. It seems not all of them shared the same ideas. Each 'faction' stood in front of one of the riot leaders. The group that had been guarding the gate, Giv, Basco, Mincerind, and their silent friend, plus a hobgoblin and an Eltengraf were lined up in front of Nolgash. A masked orc, a turbaned human, a green-haired orc, a female orc, a bearded human, and a Pantanan looked to be supporting Morrison, and a porc, a ponytailed human, a bandaged orc, a greasy-haired orc, and a thug slug appeared to be cheering on Rusealote.
  12. "Those three up in the front - the ogre, the old human with the sword, and the elf. Those are the leaders. One of them is the assassin. We could do that, but like I said, it'd probably just be safer to figure it out before they get the chance to attack. Bastala's inside the palace. She's safe in there for now, until these rioters tear down the barricade."
  13. "Nobody's entering the palace while that barricade is up. I suggest we find this assassin before they even get the chance to go inside." "It's good to see you alive, clan leader. Your daughter has become....well.....unpopular, in your absence. Thus the riot."
  14. "Maybe. But this assassin isn't interested in helping Clan Irlaz. If we expose Grishnod now, they'll still have the element of surprise, unless we know which one it is. He'd be as much a target as Bastala is. She's a powerful mage, so this assassin must be even more skilled."
  15. "I....don't think the crowd would take kindly to us knocking out their leaders. I'd like to avoid bloodshed here. All but one of these people here are innocent. Very upset....but innocent."
  16. Olmstyr did a double take, and blinked. "Wait. You have Grishnod here with you?" "Grishnod is- was, the leader of Clan Irlaz, until vikings raided the coast and kidnapped him. I thought him dead. Valentino is the High Kingdoms noble who Bastala took hostage and is holding here, as a trophy or something...you're going to have a hard time convincing her to let him go. You're going to have a harder time reconciling things between her and Grishnod...." He broke off as he saw another orc approach from the edge of the crowd. He immediately walked over to Olmstyr, muttering to him in orcish for a few moments. Olmstyr looked back at the heroes as the orc nodded, and left. "That was one of my contacts. Listen up, everyone; it seems one of the head rioters is planning to kill Bastala once they get inside the palace. It seems this assassin is just using the riot as a front to get inside and use the panic to cover the kill. We need to figure out which one it is, and eliminate them. Any suggestions?"
  17. "Agreed." "None that I know of. We're orcs. We go down fighting, so secret escapes routes are useless." "Maybe. It'll be tough, but-" Olmstyr was cut off by the bright-colored wagon rolling up to the heroes, blinking as its occupants filed out. He glanced between the newcomers and his own party, comparing their mismatched appearances. "...More heroes, I presume?"
  18. Atramor half-grumbles and half-sighs in resignation as Nyx prepares her healing staff. "Well that's a given, it never hurts you at all."
  19. Yeah! You get to visit a pirate ship, and a chicken farm and....well....yeah, that's pretty much the whole Quest.
  20. "Actually, if one of ya' could spare a second and heal me, that'd be great," Atramor mumbled, gritting his teeth as he pulled the obsidian spearhead out of his shoulder. He readied his Tiger Claws again, slashing into the Goon four times from the back row.
  21. "I mentioned the public being upset with Bastala, I assume things just got...out of hand. It looks like her and her followers in the palace have barricaded themselves in. Seems the rioters are trying to tear it down."
  22. "Told yoink we should've hired builders..." "Damn it Mincerind, shut up!" "Den why do you ned to come Vim-Lhzar at all? Go get jobz zomewhere elze."" Giv caught the pouch of gold, bouncing it in his hand before tossing back to Basco, who immediately began counting it out. Mincerind and the silent, hooded orc lifted pieces of the barricade away, allowing the heroes access into Vim-Lhzar. "Glad we could sort this out. You can go about your business. Move along." The party, relieved at finally getting past this annoying checkpoint, walked into Vim-Lhzar. Olmstyr took the lead, taking the heroes down roads unfamiliar from their last visit. "Good work with those idiots at the gate. I knew things weren't looking good in Clan Irlaz, but I didn't....think....that...." The orc trailed off, roars and cheers drowning out his voice as the party rounded a corner. The heroes were at Bastala's palace, but clearly some sort of riot was taking place. A spiral-horned ogre, a wrinkled old man, and a haughty-looking elf spurred on the crowd, who were pounding their feet, chanting vigorously, and pulling at the barricade that had been erected right on the stairway to the palace. "Do things EVER go as planned around you guys?" yelled Olmstyr over the roar of the crowd.
  23. I just average out the level of the party, choose a base class for them (with the appropriate health bonus), and then give them the expert/advance class's health bonus. Wally was a Level 12 Artisan (I think...) and was a Ranger at first. 6 (Ranger) + 11 (Level) + 15 (Artisan) = 32 health.
  24. Atramor continues his assault.
  25. "Oh, so only once you've secured the jobs you stole from us will you give us what we want?" "Because of Bastala, damn it. She's neglecting her race and inviting in any trash that happens to float within a mile of Baltarok. Human employment's cheaper and she reduces the taxes on those that hire humans to try and encourage more of them to come here."
