Miderun swings again. "He'll be fine, Vindsval."
-
Atramor made a quick stop at the market on his way through Eubric, selling the Anointed Spear, the Paladin Shield, and the High Heels for a total of 70 gold. He then had his new Opal imbued into his Galactic Armor at the cost of 50.

Oh, and Pretzel should have his Phoenix Incense back and I should have my Scroll of Arc Frailty. -

Atramor nodded to the rest of the party, turning to head out, before a chicken swooped down from seemingly nowhere and landed on his shoulder. The regulator frowned, but didn't shoo it away. "And where the hell've you been?" McCafferey ruffled her feathers and clucked quietly. <"I was merely curious to see what you would do leading alone. It is interesting to see you make your own choices. I stress only interesting. And perhaps I also wished to maintain a lower profile."> "Hmph. Hard to get any lower profile than another plane." Atramor glanced at the docks once more before setting out. "Better be worth this damn trouble..." Thanks for hosting WBD. I had a lot of fun. -
Normal damage.

This means absolutely nothing since we've already got a lynch. -

"Both of ya' quit whinin'. I wish ya' luck Retak. I think you're gonna need it if every plane is this well-defended." Tentative loot division here since nobody seems to have responded to me asking if anyone wanted something in particular. Is everyone okay with this, or does someone really want the Ice Armor scroll or Opal? With the Pheles Kris I'd probably get the most use out of the scroll and unless someone wants to start imbuing gems into their armor too everyone already has an Opal. -

Sorry, my mistake. (Or rather his that he corrected with another post). But I don't really think it's constructive to unvote somebody when people start agreeing with your vote and voting along with you. And it certainly doesn't give the impression that you want a lynch. -

Looks more like a prick than anything... I can see where you're coming from. It's been a surprisingly talkative first day, so I don't feel the need to prodding people for reactions. Everyone's being quite reactive anyway. I'm comfortable just taking note of them. I notice for example you're quick to label your votes prods but unvote before even waiting for a response to said prod. And also that Adrienne is just stating the most generic observations possible. -
Miderun repeats her attack furiously. Row is accounted before defense. Vindsval should take 4/2 - 3 = 0 damage.

"I wouldn't call this plane public. The people who can afford to use this kinda magic can afford to pay a bit for the maintenance of their stuff." -

"This just keeps gettin' more complicated.....fine. We'll tell them the paladins died protectin' the necromancers against the undead. Not particularly untrue. We'll pass Retak off as one of us heroes and that you two were the only survivors, although we managed to wipe out the undead. Once they realize there's nothin' here to kill, they'll run off, aye? Then you can have a chat with the priestess like I suggested." Atramor looked sideways at Fervent. "Don't worry about the politics of this. The Ji Pei don't use undead and their automatons make a hell of a better replacement. If they want to make profits off of this like the necromancers were, fine, what the hell is the problem with it?" -

"Extermination? Of what? I'd imagine they only got here because of Greenhood's message. And there ain't even any undead left." -
They've seem fine to me, especially considering the level difference.

"As opposed to leaving them in hands of necromancers and undead? I trust the Ji Pei." Atramor stepped back from the door and looked at Fervent. "It looks like more paladins. Look. It sounds like neither you nor Ferfew liked the arrangements here with the undead." The regulator scratched his chin, deep in thought. He looked between the paladins and Retak, then began speaking again diplomatically. "How about you both go talk to them? Try and get this priestess's council to withdraw their support of the necromancers. What happened here is a damn fine example of what can happen when dealin' with their kind, so ya' shouldn't have too much trouble. If the necromancers get evicted, Retak won't have to go on a killin' spree, a buncha paladins don't have to die for no good reason, and ya' can continue overseein' this plane once we get someone else to handle the legwork. Sound reasonable?" -

"I already made my plans for this plane clear," snapped Atramor. "We can get someone else to watch over this place. Something that doesn't require undead to run. Now, anyone want anythin' in particular from this loot, or-?" He frowned, breaking off, narrowing his eyes at the sound of soldiers. He drew the Pheles Kris, cracking the door to see what lay outside, raising his hand for silence from the rest of the party. -
I'm very much in favor of speeding things along like that, but unless I'm mistaken, they didn't have it figured out that they could just hang back and do nothing. If they have the battle figured out to where they can't take damage, yeah, you may as well just run the rest of the rounds, but you shouldn't just give them the answer.
-
Agreed, thanks for giving us a shot at it. Miderun looked between the monks, narrowing her eyes as they seemed less insubstantial. She lifted her club up, swinging downward at Evil Monk I from the front row.
-
I enjoyed reading through 109 and look forwards to your future quests.
-
Miderun nodded to Vindsval in thanks as he handed over the remedy, but looked up with alarm as a small horde of undead crawled out from the bushes. She reached for her new club, before frowning. "Wait. Bobby, stay back - we're not going to be able to do anything against these corpses," she admitted, gritting her fangs. "Not unless you want to use your potion."
-
We have a Guardian Angel up.

It's really not a QM's place to assume the players just follow the easiest path you've thought up for them. Particularly when they already have a course of action in place.

Alistair should be dead. "I came to save innocents and kill monsters. I won't be walkin' away from this one disappointed." Atramor stowed his Tiger Claws. Cracking his knuckles, he moved into the front row to attack Fervent unarmed. -

I feel like Jerry should have enough experience to know this is the most logical thing for a miller to do. We're playing a small game here. It seems like it would be counterproductive for the scum to take a risk like claiming miller. Maybe if his reasons were tighter I'd be less inclined to find it suspicious, but: This says to me he's grasping at straws here. Whether he's a miller or he's lying scum, he's sure as hell not going to come up town. There's zero reason for an investigator to target him. His logic doesn't add up at all. Vote: Jerry (JimBee)
