  1. These are all fantastic, I cant wait to place my order! My wife however, is slightly less happy
  2. I bought my son the Helicarrier set and a Wonder Woman keychain(No Batman or Superman ones in stock!)so I could get my hands on the Hulk promo fig
  3. I do paint my minifigs too, check out my sig picture or some of my other recent minifig posts. I could have painted these too and I may do in the future but i'm more than happy with them as they are for now
  4. Wow! Thanks very much!!! The front claws would probably be better suited to one of the Exo-force robot bad guys I guess but I wanted a kind of insect feel for the good guys for a change Oooooh very much so! The only sets I dont have are 8108 Mobile Devastator and one of the little polybags, they are on my hit list however! Thanks to everyone that commented
  5. Thanks guys, i'm glad you both agree with the use of the Exo-Force heads!
  6. Updated again today- clicky here! Many thanks!
  7. That is an expensive door! I have a couple of them, they'll be on Bricklink asap!!!
  8. Heres a moc of mine based on the old Exo-Force theme. I named it 'The Bug' for obvious reasons It doesn't have too many features really, the legs are all posable and it has a light brick underneath for a little laser but thats about it! Ha-Ya-To the pilot with some Brickforge armour- I really miss the old Exo-Force sets, I hope 'The Bug' fits into the theme for you aswell as it does for me!
  9. As well as Lego, my son and I also have a small collection of Warhammer figs including a few Space Marines. My favourite of which are the Blood Angels! This is my interpretation of those figures. I used the S7 Galaxy Patrol armour piece, an Arealight helmet, a custom leg cape and a Brickarms gun. The wings came from a Games Workshop figure, i've seen Lego figs with the Blood Angel wings already so I decided to use these ones instead. I'm currently building a couple of similar figs using mainly aftermarket parts for a small moc I have planned, should have pics up shortly. Hope you like him! Brickarms Arealight Custom capes etc
  10. I bought some Samurai and ninja bits and bobs from Minifig.cat a couple of months back, some parts are better than others but i'll let you be the judge. I think the Ninja helmets sit a little high but that could just be me? Also added some Brickforge vembraces and some custom capes and leg capes from an Ebay seller in the U.K. All the the heads used are from the Exo-Force theme, the torsos and legs are from various figs, mainly PoP I think. I built the little display piece using a few bits from one of my son's Ninjago sets, I think it suits the figs quite well! This chap is a combination of Keiken from Exo-Force and Sensei Wu- Parts prices aren't too bad but check out the links to see what else is available from these sellers- Minifig.cat Brickforge This guy makes custom capes and similar items and sells them on Ebay. I've bought quite a few bits from him and all have been excellent, far superior to Lego's own stuff! Custom Cape stuff So what do you think? (just noticed the white female samurai helmet is slightly wonky!) I love these parts and think they look great when compared to Lego's own Samurai figures. Some parts could do with a little bit of fettling to be perfect but they'll do me just fine as they are.
  11. I really like those Lensmen! I also love the Black Falcons with those heads, they look very manacing!
  12. When I came out of my dark ages a few years back I was a purist. Things like Brickarms etc.... held no interest for me. If it wasn't made by Lego, I didnt care for it but times have changed dramatically! I took the plunge last year and made my first Brickarms order and since then i've spent a fortune on aftermarket minifigure accessories from the likes of Brickforge, Brick Warriors, Arealight etc... simply because Lego doesn't offer me the parts I want for the minifigures that I like to build. From the start I was so impressed at the quality of these parts, Brick Warriors especially are something else, dare I say better than Lego? Maybe not better, just different! I dont think a moc should be looked down upon because it features non Lego items, if anything it means the builder is thinking outside the box and using his imagination to create something Lego cant quite do for him/her themselves. I understand why you may not want to use these parts but i'd say give them a chance, take a close look at the stuff on offer and maybe, like me, you'll be converted and wonder how you lived without them for so long!
  13. This is the first set I remember getting as a present, my uncle helped me build it on christmas day-
  14. Its as simple as that! Each paper has a voucher, tear that voucher out and hand it to the cahier and voila! Batman is yours! I'd suggest going early however as they tend to run out quickly in some places
  15. Result!!!! I was a little worried I may not get the Batman polybag, now my son and I will get one each!!! The other eight are ok but that Batman one might just be my most wanted polybag set ever!
  16. I'd have to say I like both the new and old versions. I'm slowly collecting each Batman so will have plenty of both shortly!
  17. +1 for darkdragon and +1 for jondesouza Thank you both very much
  18. Personally I mainly buy sets for the minifigs as that is what I collect. I think you have to ask yourself what it is that YOU want from your Lego and go from there. What themes most interest you? Do you want a nice display piece or something to play with?
  19. Do you mean originally? He came from one of the old Spiderman sets but mine was bought on its own from a Bricklink seller. I only really collect the minifigs unless the set is something really special.
  20. Updated my POST today, not much to trade aside from some S2 Spartans but take a look at my wants list Shane
  21. Heres the rest of my little group of Brick Warrior equiped soldiers. Thought i'd have to have a leader (silver chest plate) and I decided they needed a non human character in there aswell. The minotaur was originally the brown s6 collectible chap but painted black and with a little drybrushing detail on the fur. These pics are just to show a little more detail- And here's a futuristic style fig using parts from Brick Warriors and Brickarms- I was going for a kind of weathered look here. Shane
  22. Is it expensive?
