  1. Grrrrrrrr!!! My local Asda are still charging £11.97 each. Infact every offer that Tesco's and Asda have that people post details about on here never appear at any of my local branches
  2. I made another great find in my local free ads paper- The sets were- 8015 Assassin Droid Battle Pack (complete) 7668 Rebel Scout Speeder (complete) 7620 Motorcycle Chase (complete) 7625 River Chase (missing black net and crocodile) 7626 Jungle Cutter (missing 2 small bricks) 7627 Temple of the Crystal Skull (missing a dozen pieces) + lots of Star Wars figs,a few odd bricks, those pneumatic parts and the light and sound stuff. That little lot cost me £40!!! As if that wasnt a great deal already, I put the correct legs on General Greivous and sold him, the two ships from the battle packs, all the droids and a couple of the other star wars figs on ebay and made £45! So I got all that Indiana Jones stuff and and some great Star wars figs like the clones, the wookie warriors, light up Obi wan and Luminara, the rebel scouts and all the spare parts for absolutely nothing and made myself a bonus £5! Result!
  3. Short Round! Amd a few more pieces from Bricklink to complete some Indiana Jones sets I got lucky on this week! (details in lucky finds thread a bit later)
  4. Updated today 28/1/12 with some cheap deals on sets posted! Also updated my wants list
  5. Hey there, are you looking for sealed S6 figs? I have an opened but never built Space girl and a built highlander with all accessories but no packaging. I would love to trade them both for the clone with yellow markings. I'm in the UK but have many trades with the US, I am on the straightshooters list too! Let mem know buddy,Shane
  6. I, Jen of the Nocturnus guild would be honoured to compete in the games. I can only hope my new armour arrives from the eastern lands before combat begins!
  7. Hey there, I have this guy- I'd be up for a trade however I am in the UK. If you dont mind that i'm looking for a few Star Wars figs at the mo or parts of figs, mainly clones or that kind of thing. I'm also looking for Indiana Jones figs too so let me know if I can help. I got me a score of 23 on the straightshooters list Charlieboy
  8. Seems to be working now. They look good I think, I like the rock monster arms
  9. Updated today (20/1/12) with new sets and wants list! Will be adding a few more sets over the next couple of days too. Best regards,Charlieboy
  10. Another +1 to Silentmode! Thanks again matey
  11. Had a funny five minutes this week and went silly with Islander figs and pirate parts on Bricklink. I also placed an order at Minifig.Cat's Store, i'd been resisting the erge to go silly in that store for a while but I finally caved and spent a small fortune on some fantastic looking parts such as this- Some cracking figs coming soon
  12. Outstanding stuff!!! I've not tried any steampunk builds myself but I think your Mailman's dirigible might be my favourite thing ever posted on here! Great work sir!
  13. I'd say go for it! It costs nothing to set up your own Bricklink store! Bricklink take a tiny percentage of each sale and you wont even have to pay anything until you owe $10. I've only just reached that point and i've been selling on there for a while now. If you dont sell anything it wont cost you anything! I have sold more polybags than anything else so as long as you price your items correctly they should sell. I always aim to be either the lowest priced for an item or atleast the lowest in my country but then it does depend how much you have spent on your stock. My polybags cost me pennies but sold for a tidy profit so I can afford to sell them fairly cheaply. Hope that helps
  14. This chap arrived today from the US of A- Had no interest in the rest of the set he comes in so bought him and few more parts for my Durmstrang ship from Bricklink.
  15. Do you have any pics of that? I built mine last night and I have to say I love it! The ship itself is fantastic but could do with a few improvements but thats just my personal taste. As for BB, it's a set I dont own but was seriously considering buying. I love the shape, I love the closed cabin and I love the minifigs much more than the ones that came with the QAR. The only reason I now probably wont buy it is because i've recrewed my QAR with lots of classic pirates figs and will be modding the ship to suit my personal tastes and having two pirate ships and no imperial vessals seems silly!
  16. My little boy loves the song as do I but then we've both been Lego fans for years. I bought the album a while back and he mentions Lego in another song too. It's one of the only albums I own that I like every track on!
  17. Hi guys, i'm just after some advice really. I have the new VW camper van set listed in my BL store, I have a chap in Thailand that is very keen to purchase it but he has no feedback as of yet. He is waiting for me to get back to him for a price on shipping before he buys it. Should I be concerned about selling a set of this price to someone on the other side of the planet with no feedback? Obviously i'd send it via airmail and get delivery confirmation. I'm probably worrying about nothing but what would you do? I dont want to get scammed Many thanks,Shane
  18. Have you tried www.bricklink.com You'll find every kind of brick on there
  19. Pm sent regarding brickbeards bounty.
  20. UPDATED 8/1/12 Hey guys, i've updated again today with lots of new stuff that I have on Ebay at the mo to pay for my latest big set want! Take a look and see if theres anything that takes your fancy All the best,Shane
  21. Big thanks guys for your help The Flagship has now risen right to the top of my wants list! I hadnt realised just how pricey that ship was. Can't seem to find it on Lego's website either so im guessing it has been discontinued (like I said, i'm new to these ships!) Its going to have to be Bricklink I think. I'm having an "I need a Flagship" Ebay Lego sale right now
  22. Here's one for the pirate fans out there. I recently bought the Queen Anne's Revenge and had planned to get the Black Pearl in the next week or so but after some searches on here and Bricklink i'm now leaning towards 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty instead of the Pearl. If you had the choice, what would you buy? Both can be had for similar prices so cost isnt really an issue but being new to the world of Lego ships, I wondered which one you preferred and why? Thanks for any help
  23. I had a good result after replying to an advert on Gumtree. For the grand old sum of £6 I got this little lot- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/shane320i/IMG_4840.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/shane320i/IMG_4842.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/shane320i/IMG_4841.jpg I've already started sorting through it and have found these sets so far- Space Police III 5971 Gold Heist - missing a few stickers and one rocket piece Star Wars - 7749 Echo Base - Complete Star Wars - 8014 Clone Walker Battle Pack - Missing a complete clone trooper Not bad for the money and there's still plenty of parts/sets to find
  24. Pick-a-brick walls tend to vary store to store, the one in my town isn't that great to be honest. As you are a new member you may not have heard of Bricklink.com That is a far better place to buy specific lego bricks and will have any part you can think off listed in stores all over the world! Welcome to the forum and good luck with your search
  25. An awesome couple of Lego weeks ended with me buying myself The Queen Anne's Revenge! Saving up for the Black Pearl now too and a mahoosive display case to put them in!
