  1. tin7 did this one- It might be worth sending him a message to see if you can buy his decals?- tin7 creations
  2. Its from the Atlantis Squid Warrior-
  3. I find the best way to sell is to make sure whatever you list is cheaper than everybody else! A large inventory is obviously appealing to buyers too but price is what attracts me to a store first. My store isn't very big however when the polybag sets arrive via the newspaper special offers my store goes mad as my repeat customers know i'll have lots listed and they will be cheaper than almost every other store so having great prices and giving excellent customer service is what keeps people coming back to me. As for building up inventory, I very rarely go and buy new sets to list on my store aside from the previously mentioned polybags. I find it pays to go to car boot sales/garage sales/charity shops etc...and find sets that way. I have made quite a bit of money doing this as most people do not know the value of the parts they are selling, minifigures especially can be had for bargain prices this way.The other option is to see what sets are on sale in stores and grab stock that way. As for supporting your hobby, I guess it depends how much you spend on Lego yourself but i'd have to sell a huge amount to cover what I spend! I think you'll find most Bricklink sellers do it as part of their hobby, I certainly do and don't really sell on there to make a profit, I do it because I enjoy it and if I make any money along the way well then thats more pennies to invest back into whatever theme i'm interested in at the time! But again i'll say the best way to attract customers is to be the cheapest!
  4. This is a great moc, I love the underground idea! The only thing that looks out of place is the trans light green parts, even so it still looks awesome
  5. As above, although I have no experience of the Little Arms shop, Brickarms and Brickwarriors are second to none and in my opinion produce better quality parts than Lego themselves!
  6. Have to say I haven't experienced anything like this at all. I have almost 1000 minifigs none of which have deteriorated in the way you mention. I have about 300 on display in various glass display cases and the rest boxed up that are frequently opened and played with by my son but even so, aside from the odd scratch on the played with ones, they have no damage at all.
  7. Hey there, I have ordered from Minifig.cat a few times now and have always had great service. I believe many of his parts are Sidan parts but fit the Lego minifigure perfectly. The parts always arrive quickly even though I live in the U.K. I would also say check out their website at Minifig.cat if you haven't already as I found they had a better selection on there rather than the Bricklink store. Here's one I made earlier- Now go place that order!
  8. There was the forestmen theme from the late 1980's/1990's. They were Robin Hood inspired sets- Bricklink set listings I have a few of those too! A great theme from, in my opinion, the best Lego years ever! As for ships, look no further than 6285 Black Sea's Barracuda! Another awesome set from 1989! Both the PotC ships are great but as I have both i'd say 4195 Queen Anne's Revenge is the better ship
  9. How about the older Indiana Jones sets? I have most of those and I love them, the figs are great and the vehicles are fantastic! Prince of Persia is another good theme I think but I guess the ultimate licensed theme would have to be Star Wars. Have you seen 10188 Death Star or 10221 Super Star Destroyer? Not cheap but they dont come much more spectacular than those!
  10. Wow these are fantastic! I love the details you have included in your moc but what I really want to know is where the pilots breathing masks come from?
  11. This is a great looking set and will be the first modular in my collection! Dont get me wrong, i've loved the others but this is the first one i've ever wanted to own. I cant wait to see some interior pics!
  12. Every year I say i'm going to slow down on buying but it's a tough thing to do! I have stopped buying sets and currently just concentrate on collecting minifigures however things like Horizon Express and the new modular cinema will be must haves!
  13. This is great, it never fails to amaze me just how creative some people can be and to end up with something like this is phenominal! Well done on such an awesome looking technical build
  14. I'd go with LED's too. They can be bought quite cheaply and can be easily placed and hidden
  15. Hey guys, i've placed a few orders over the last couple of months with Brickwarriors so I have lots of new parts to play with. I couldnt wait to start modding the Chima minifigs and Razcal seemed a great place to start! His original armour piece was ok but I dont like how the wings connect to it, they are quite chunky when viewed from the side and rear so BW's Demon armour piece was a great alternative having been designed to hold BW's new dragon wings. Also on the fig are BW's new vembraces and greaves, demon shield and scimitar. I love how he came out and cant wait to get my hands on more from the Chima line to start customising. Also built this chap using a LotR orc minifig and yet more BW parts including android armour, jousting helmet and plume, greaves and vembraces and finally the loin cloth. I cant praise Brickwarriors enough for their fantastic quality parts and superfast delivery times even to the U.K during christmas time! I cant wait to see what they release next year!
  16. What are you after for them matey? I'm interested in the Uruks!
  17. Haha, excellent! I loved that show, how about an Al next?
  18. Hi Chaps, I was wondering if there would be any interest in organising a monthly meet down here in Sussex? I see a few people have tried organising things in various parts of the country but there doesn't seem to be anything this far south. I know there used to be the London meets but that's a 100 mile round trip for me so I thought if there was enough interest we could organise something down in Sussex. I live in Shoreham, just outside Brighton and I have no idea if there are even any AFOL's anywhere near me so a monthly meet would be an awesome way to meet like minded people in person. I'm open to suggestions on locations but it could be a way to talk Lego, to see other peoples MOC's and even trade etc..... Again i'm open to suggestion on content but it would be great to meet some of you local Lego fans so if this idea floats your boat, let me know and we'll get something organised. Failing this, are there any Lego clubs already on the go in this part of the country? All the best, Shane
  19. When building mine I sorted all the parts before I built it, plates, bricks etc..... It took longer to sort the parts than build the thing but it was worth it and made it fun for my son and I.
  20. Hey Eurobricks, I have just started collecting the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit minifigures, as yet my collection is tiny but I hope to change that very soon! I have a few spare series 9 minifigures I am happy to trade and can also get any other S9 figures you may need too in exchange for almost any LotR OR Hobbit figs. Aside from the polybag Frodo i'll be interested in any other figures. At the moment I have- Cyclops Heroic Knight Policeman I'd also be up for trading anything in my Bricklink store although there isnt a great deal in there at the moment. (Link in my Signature) I also have some of the smaller Agent sets if there is any interest in those? Anyway, I'm on the straight shooters list so let me know if you can help me out! Many thanks, Charlieboy.
  21. Best is a tough choice, there are some great figs but I think i'll go with the new LotR/Hobbit figures, I'm loving those at the moment! The worst licensed fig is easy, how bad is this guy?
  22. WHSmiths in Brighton, U.K has a few boxes in stock although I couldnt find many female figs
  23. Well the staff at my local WHSmiths help me feel the bags to find the figures I want, they always have and have never had a problem with helping customers out! The packaging itself is unfair and forces people, mainly parents that don't know any better,to keep buying the figures until their kids get a full set! Obviously that was Lego's plan to make more money so some might say Lego are cheating us by not making the bags easier to identify?
  24. That dragonfly is fantastic! Awesome use of parts too, i'd never have thought to use fishing rods like that on the butterfly!
  25. I'm interested in the waist holster things and the knives and maybe a few of the guns too. What are you asking for them?
