harbor station is probably a port. depending on the price range it's either a small town port or a city harbor.

It wouldn't be stealing, would it?

I'm not so sure about that one, I mean, the clerk has EYES doesnt he? He can see what he'e selling and what the price on the barcode is; versus what he remembers the price on the inventory was. If you were to hide items inside a different box, then yeah I'd agree that you're 'cheating him into thinking it's something else'. But here everything is out in the open and so obvious; all he has to do is say... 'that price seems off, let me do a price check'. I seriously think that in the Millenium Falcon incident the cashier was negligent and almost certainly part at fault. (or maybe even a disgruntled employee who intentionally let it go) because seriously... a box that big for 10$?? what kind of moron would believe that? humh ...Maybe when store's start treating their employees like machines, they start acting like machines; and 'turn off' their common sense... Okay, heres a slightly different situation. Suppose a customer changes a barcode to be a lower price. And as he is buying he directly says to the clerk 'I would like to buy this for $5. Is that OK with you?' (quoting the lower price). Now the customer has made a direct request for the lower price and the clerk is actually saying that he agrees to it. Now perhaps the stores did not train their clerks well enough to give them the competence to ever consider beyond the scanner barcode... but regradless he has agreed to the price requested. Personally, I'd think that this example totally changes it, to place the blame onto the poorly designed system; of having a clerk who represents the store and has authority to make sales, yet has not been trained to be anything more than an extention of the barcode machine.... It has always fascinated me, how in the past Barter was common, but nowadays people pay marked prices from barcodes without question. No one ever attempts to ask for a lower price. Technically, the barcode is just a store policy, not a law. It is Policy to exchange for the price on the barcode scanner, but not Law; if you can get the clerk to agree to a different price and break store policy, well.... ...devil's advocate is fun in debates... no cashier will ever remember the store price of the entire inventory on sale. i dont think your point of having "eyes" is valid. plus most folks working in a walmart probably didnt even have a high school diploma. they wont know the difference of a $10 lego set from a $100 lego set as long as the names matched. disgruntled? unlikely. uninformed? most definitely. if you dont dumb down most jobs, you'd have to pay top dollars for the college degree. how do you expect to motivate and keep those staff in what essentially is a monotonous job? bartering with a cashier working in a megastore? uh....it's far fetched...and no employee will ever take that kind of responsibility. "i dunno...i just work here..." is probably the best answer you can get. -

erroneous barcode? that's not your fault. if they dont know any better, it's not your fault. it's like buying from an uneducated seller. people sell gems for peanuts all the time. antique or second hand stores or pawn shops are a good example. they have an idea of what an item is worth when the purchase from sellers. the sellers usually dont. if you sold your grandma's jewelry box for peanuts, do they actually tell you that they are ripping you off? in the same sense, if you spot a valuable from an antique shop would you not buy it? would you instead warn the store about the value and pay for the right price? it all boils down to whether both parties agreed to the price they were transacting at. in the first instance, the store tagged the wrong price to the set but they knew about the price. if you bought it, you were buying from an uneducated seller. in the second instance, you were delibrately cheating the seller into thinking they were selling another item to you. that is stealing. for eg, there was a story where a man went to every target, tru, walmart and replaced the barcode of the millenium falcon with the barcode of the mini millenium falcon. the price difference was of course $90 (the mf playset was $100 vs the mini of $10). that is deceit and theft, and he was eventually caught and went to jail. if a store were to tag the mf playset with a price of $10, then buying it is your gain. buying/selling from ebay is a good example. would you ever question the price listed by the seller? if you got a bargain at a price agreed with the seller, for eg a "but it now" at a ridiculous price will you offer instead to pay the seller more? -
i wasnt directing that statement at you, ultraprime. it's more my bedazzlement of the logic to make BW's legs static. lol. 2 questions. from the pics it seems WL's waist can rotate just like mecha one mech in 7709. is that correct? is BW top heavy? does it stand well seeing how the legs are positioned to the back while the head and arms are positioned to the front creating a rotational force that's likely to topple the model? thanks for the new pics. got a sense of the size. it's huge! although WL is made up of fewer brick counts can you say if it is of almost the equivalent size of a thunder fury? or better yet, take more pics...of the whole family of sets that you have all lined up in a mug shot! lol. thanks *y* p.s. and the two devastators do not have a middle color right? like how thunder fury's dev is red, and FV's is blue, and SP's is green.

wtf...isnt it ironic that its namesake is bridge WALKER? *wacko* *wacko* *wacko* *wacko* *wacko* i cant understand lego.... sometimes. :-P

thanks for the review. can you post some pictures of the side profile of BW? and the back view for both? how much of movement can you get from BW's legs? can they move at all? it doesnt seem like BW is large at all when compared to WL. from the comic, i was thinking it should be 2x as tall as WL. :-P can you post some pictures comparing the hero tank or striking venom to it? thanks.

1. dont ask for moral opinion from an online forum. 2. was it one bag or several bags? i thought TLC separate minifig sections into different bags to prevent theft. my minifigs have come in different bags (head in bag 1, torso in bag 2 and legs in bag 3) in all the sets i purchased. even small sets have minifig parts in at least 2 separate bags. 3. if several bags...?!?!?!?! really? i stole sets when i was young...not bags, but whole set with box. it got addictive...then i was caught. i was glad because it was getting out of control. storekeeper let me go but not before my dad had to come pick me up and pay for what i stole. it was embarassing but it also woke me up and taught me a valuable lesson before i can be legally incarcerated. theft is bad as it increases insurance/cost for the store. the cost will be passed down to consumers or absorbed by the store. the store may go bankrupt or cost increased. either way your action will affect more people than you think. there are many forms of theft. 1. taking the entire box. 2. ripping boxes open and taking some bags from the boxes. 3. changing the bar code. 4. purchasing the box, go home, open it, take bags out, reseal box and return box for refund. 5. calling up customer support and demand for replacement when there is no perfect reason to. if you want sets, earn it. there are so many ways to do it. mow lawns, run errants, wash cars. and you will appreciate your hard work. life isnt free. are you going to steal to provide for your family? do you want to live fast, die young? -
you've gotta do a review! or >:-( >:-) *vader* *knight* |-/

hehe, didn't know it was going to be an EBer. :-P yeah, i'm not part of the fan club that oogles at lego boxes or bags. especially not the current boxes which are chucked after they are opened. i rather have the bricks inside. :-P

why ask my permission? i dont own anything here you know. ;-)

whoever bought them is an idiot. no offense to you of course, who is the seller. the flyer and walker parts can be purchased from BL for at most $5. the minifigure hardly cost $3. in total, you can get a duplicate from BL for under $15.

alright. polling is officially closed. exo-champ is the winner with 11 votes! congratulations! followed by lost viking and suvieD. thanks to all who participated. it was a tight contest. i think exo-champ won on originality and fit. lost viking in my opinion probably has a better design. it lost on originality vs exo-champ's. suvieD's has good originality, design probably didn't do as well on fit. at one point it was neck-and-neck between EC and LV. :-D *y* let's have a new contest next year. it will probably be a new competition instead of just rehashing a sensei mech with the new 2007 parts. :-P will probably involve some fan fiction too...can't say now. everything is in my head. won't want to spoil the surprise. :-P

i'm not quite sure why people keep saying hayato is dead. he is obviously the adopted child of exo force. after ryo, takeshi and hikaru got their worth of attention, only then will hayato get any. it's so obvious from the 2006 line up. gate assault came out after the 6 mechs in wave 1. in wave 2, bw vs wl is still not in the market yet for most regions while the other sets are already out. now if i have to guess what the color of hayato mech will be...it will be dark tan. think about it. kk2 series 2 have the knights in dark red, dark blue, dark green and dark tan. it's almost 90% chance that hayato's mech will be dark tan. :-P
-
agreed ....exo force could do without the funny eyes. the accents (like bandana, sunglasses, scar) are enough to differentiate hikaru from takeshi from ryo...etc. not sure why they can't just stick to round eyeballs. it's easier and better for moc'ing too.

natelite = nate lite. :-P nate is usually taken, so nate + lite or nate + elite = natelite. somehow, someone, somewhere will always read that fast and go natalie. *sing* >:-( *wacko* :-X :-| why lite? well, diet nate sounds silly... :-D

i tried a search, couldn't find a topic so i'm making this post to alert magnet fans that SB magnets are now available. http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=M206&cn=247&d=21&t=7 it's a big let down tbh. 3 MFs and cost $15!! wtf? i rather pay $5 more for krusty krab. okay, i won't have patrick, but i'll have squidy. fair exchange if you ask me.

Can anyone tell me why Takeshi only use Supernova once?)

why use grand titan for SV's assault then? :-P i dont think there is any reasonable explanation. the comic is bad. period. there is no sense in trying to understand it. you jump from one week to the next without any real coherence to the story. i see my boy making better stories than the story writer. :-P (the green hair man drives the red mech to go shopping for orange juice! he would say...lol). -
bought 6211 for 20% dc from lego stores. :-P you gotta use the sept coupon for the 20% dc. i also bought 7709 at retail from target. i couldn't resist after seeing the 2007 exo force line...i just gotta have some lego mechs! :-P oh well.... only missing SV and SP for the EF line. only missing 6210 for SW OT line (for 2006 sets). :-P damnit...couldnt get anything from ebay for a while now. :-( stop challenging my bid people! :-P

i like to see lego make a perfectly transformable transformer figure. :-P until then i would rather lego make something else. :-P p.s. by transformable, i mean without having to dismantle the model. :-D (i just know some smart alec will pull that comment...)

i agree. although i own mostly 2006 sets (one or two from 2002 like jango's slave 1 and y-wing/tie-advance) i can see how it can get repetative with re-releases. unfortunately there is not much you can do with a licensed theme. apart from the few key iconic machines/vehicles, what else is there for a licensed theme? so i do agree with you that licensed themes are restricted in what they can create since you are effectively borrowing the creative ideas of other people instead of making your own. unlicensed themes are also kinda restricted to genre but at least the designers have free reign within that genre. eg, just how many police sets can you come up with. :-P

calm down everyone. if you finish stating your opinion, then move on. let's not turn this into an opinion war, ie my opinion is >>> your opinion. maybe people like the first alpha team. maybe some folks like some bionicle parts in their monsters. i certainly think some bionicle parts doesnt hurt. the ball joints are great for articulation. i rather have those than to have my system monsters fall apart with some handling. some folks prefer new ideas, new designs. to see 80-90% reiteration of past designs may make them sick :-X some folks ACTUALLY prefer old designs and would like a revival of older themes. let's just focus on what you like and dislike about the set and not force your view on others. *y* my opinion (doesnt mean you share them too): shark is in better size than the 1 piece. finally a great white. pity the shark's eyes are decal. crab is much better than the shark. nice use of click joints and some old system joints. *n* on the use of transparent parts for shell. underwater vehicles - not my cuppa tea. too futuristic. i prefer less aerodynamic types. any of the design from 4888, minifigurized is better imo. i like those designs which used the TIE windshield piece, and i actually like hands on my UW vehicles. much more realistic of a deep sea sub. eg: http://www.brickset.com/search.aspx?Set=4888-1 http://www.brickset.com/search.aspx?Set=6560-1 minifigures: meh....doesnt really stand out. cant say much, it's just an average mf. -
it's not human city. and the battle doesnt take place on the stupid mountain anymore. they are going to battle it out in a place called the golden city. if you ask me, i think golden city is probably some ruins with an ancient powerful artifact which both sides are trying to get. :-/

i think fire boat is a dumb concept. they should just have a coast guard theme instead. coast guards perform a variety of functions, such as keeping the shores safe from pirates (policing), and saving boats/ships on fire (fire?), and perform emergency rescue operation such as cpr, life buoys and life vests (hospital)... -
strike? strike means failure...right? is that what you were trying to say? i thought it was an improvement over season 1 and i loved season 1 baring a few bad sets.
