it's kinda crazy why they didn't push a roman theme during the mad publicity of the movie gladiator. yes it is very gory...but...

i'm with mutley. hehe, i was shopping for a duplo set for my boy when i saw the new exoforce. i originally moved on from lego to toy models, mostly f1, gundam or fighter planes and stopped for like 8-9 years since. and when i saw the new exoforce i thought to myself...that's kinda neat...a mech model from lego. i wonder if it can change from jet plane to mech like those in macross. so i went and bought the 7700 set thinking of using it as a silly display for my table. that stupid model got me hooked, and i went and bought the rest of the series. then tru had a buy 1 get 1 for 50% sale, and i went and bought more. after i found more afol websites, read some of the reviews, posted on the forums, i went out and bought star wars, then batman...and now i even bought creators series, KK2 castles, city sets. i think the only themes i didn't touch yet are the nickelodeon, the vikings, and technic sets. i am behaving more like a woman...buying sets i don't need just because they were on sale. curse ebay!! :-P and i really like vikings, but they are never cheap. :-( and the bad news is that target and walmart never carry them. so i will have to wait for a tru clearance. :-P

your review is kinda like a strip tease....hurry up with the pictures already. :-P and how much is batwing? it is $50 for us, and this set will probably be $50 as well. so not sure where your price difference is coming from. can you please explain?

i think they got pissed off that dash1218 revealed 7713, bw vs wl to us so now they require everyone to sign nda before revealing sets. oh well.... i think they are nuts...it's not like it's national treasure or something. where's the freedom of press? just talk to a press member anonymously dudes! spill the beans already.

star wars and exo force will keep me past 2007. :-P a couple of city sets for my boy...some castles too if they are cheap. i like vikings, but probably during a sale (looking forward to black friday!)...and that's about it. i never buy at retail...so, doesn't really matter to me.

i have given up buying old sets because to me, i think it's just too much. but who knows? maybe in 10 more years they will appreciate to more than $1000? as we know most of these hard to find stuff gets pricier with each passing year. you might think it is ridiculous to be paying a lot of money for used stamps but people do pay that much. especially the 1 penny stamp from like 100 years ago.

Other Details: 201 has no recollection of his own being. he can wake up sometimes with short term memory losses. he is on the constant search for his history and what his future is. Origin Story: 201 was the product of the US marines in a highly secret ops program meant to create an elite group of highly trained super assassins/commandos. he was an IV baby created by experimental program meant to create genetically superior humans by bio selection. His name in the facility was experiment 201. the ops were further given surgery and anabolic steroids to improve their human senses. through the program participants developed supernatural 10/10 visions, double human strength from the steroids and extreme weight/power program. each unit was also given special training and would have a specialized skill/ability. 201's was sixth sense. when 201 was created, his embrio was injected with a gene that the government discovered would have telekinesis and possibly mind control ability. Blessed in the super ability, 201 was given training to control and develop his skill further. His skill was developing at a much faster rate compared to the other experiments and they decided to test him in a new untested program of mind control. during the experiment, 201's mind rejected the program and he went crazy. he ran amok in the facility and killed 50 other personnel before he was subdued, with a horse tranquilizer. the government thinks he is too risky and decided to terminate him and the mind control program. while he was being disposed of, the lab technician accidentally gave the lethal injection to another experiment, and gave 201 an injection of yet another mutated gene (whereby he assumed a new identity - experiment 202). while the experimental personnel in the lab were meant to have no conscience (wont think twice before a kill), no feeling (to function as cold blooded killers), the mutated gene has a strange effect on nash, he began to develop a conscience, a feeling of existence. while on a dangerous mission to hunt down the drug lords of south america, the mission suffered severe losses. the mission was aborted and they withdrew all able personnel. 201 suffered a concussion during the mission and was in a coma for several weeks and did not make it to the command center in time. he was left behind with his assault gear and with no identity. as far as the world goes, he does not exist. after he woke up from his comatose, he tried to make his way back to the US border. while at the border, he saw a heavy battle in progress between the drug lords and the border guards. he decided to join the battle and after a particularly brutal battle where he killed 20 of the ruffiants, all the border guards were killed and any fleeing thugs were killed by 201. 201, as it is with the other experiments have a very resilient shell/body where they do not know hunger and can last for 1 month without food/water. however they were also wired to not know what is eat or how to eat. after the killing, 201 began to feel hungry but he couldnt understand what it was. he searched all the bodies to look for "food" not knowing what food was. by chance, he got a glimpse of a killed thug with an american identity. he took his wallet (with the SSC and the money). still without food, he walked towards california. meanwhile on his journey, he draw a lot of attention so he stopped by a small town. with the money from the killed american traitor he use it to buy a bike, eat, and assume his new identity, Nash Dalton. his earlier concussion left him with an unstable short term memory. he can sometimes wake up not knowing what he has done earlier. other times however he can still recall and store the short term memory into the long term memory cortex. just to wrap up before i bore everyone to sleep.... he went to california, got a job as a stock broker and moonlight as "The Sentinel." the name was given to him by the california bugle, not himself. :-| :-X ** seriously, if you want to learn more, i'll write later. :-P **

well, i was kinda surprise where everyone gets them because i never seen them on sale. how did you get them for free from tru?

i keep seeing the mini sets like mini arc170, mini jedi star fighter on ebay but where can i find them in shops? i never seen them in target, tru or walmart. i can't find from lego s@h or lego stores. so where are they sold?

how about a favorite train station poll? seeing how poorly the 2006 sets performed in the polls, at least the latest grand central station set stands a chance of winning.

available from target.com. not sure if it is in the shops. some sets are not available there. the price is higher than last year. $19.99 this year vs $15 last year. if it is available from target.com, it will probably be available soon from S@H or tru.

i myself like the boxes from the past. i own a beta 1 command center (forgot set number) and some space police 1 sets (the ones with red visors). but stop living in the past, gylman. we are buying lego not boxes. if i want extravagant boxes i will go buy better containers from shops. i much rather have more lego for $10 more than to have fewer bricks but better boxes. (plus for TLG to keep a department which designs boxes is way more costly than $10 more per boxes, i can guarantee you that. best to just concentrate on what they do best which is to design sets and make bricks). the other alternative is to outsource box manufacturing, design and packaging. but you always have the problem of info leakage.

omg,...i think janus might be right. we have dinos attacking cities in dino attack, and we probably have the crack team saving the world again from giant sea creatures.... but they will probably get new outfit. either dark blue or dark yellow. :-P

i think it is trans-clear. but to be certain you can take a close look at any chipped section of the helmet. what lies under it should be clear to you what color it is.

i thought the military was to prevent invasion from other nations. so it does serve a purpose apart from just spewing raw violence. if you want raw violence you would look at organized crime, gangs or pro wrestling (although that is scripted violence :-P ). i don't think TLG can ever make a convincing argument. it all depends on what their target audience wants. if they want violence, they will produce violence. there are probably groups against military toys which is why they still dont produce it. but if there is no objection from anybody you can bet they will be making them. But this might also lead to some baaaad happenings: Imagine, a collector has 70 troopers waiting for weapons. So he buys 10 army builder sets. He has now 70 troopers with blasters, but 70 new ones sitting around without of any! So he goes and buys another bunch of ten sets! And - guess what - once again there are 70 left over without of their weapons! So he will have to buy ANOTHER bunch! And then.... Finally he will be completely broke and have to sell his house and maybe even his wifes and children and he will become criminal and take drugs and finally commit suicide!!!! that's kinda like saying i hate lego city sets because i just don't like lego city. :-P i think aqua raiders will be a underwater based exo force. it's quite clear the direction lego is heading. all the new themes are action oriented including the city lines. and let's face it. kids these days want action. you won't have a theme where the objective is to just watch the underwater flora and fauna. i'm pretty sure it will be a theme where you go underwater to blow up aliens or huge gigantic sea creatures (or robotic sea creatures created by aliens or robots that turned on the human creators). *wacko* *** yoda screaming NOOOOOO!!! in the background while the deja vu music plays on ***

i think exo force is a pretty good theme. not sure why the hatred. *sad* the colorful hair is a nice accent to an otherwise dull theme. you can always replace the hair with matching color helmets. the mechs' colors are okay too. nothing too crazy. if you are into mech themes like gundam and stuff, it's quite normal. if you are into more military mechs like mech warrior, then yeah...the bright colors are not to your taste. but hey, it's not crap. :-P

the duplo castle looks interesting. there are three sets from that theme. all looks great....for a toddler. :-P
