the BPs are good catch. the rest are meh... the previous kmart weekend sale was much better for the magna guards and republic tank. i'll be getting the TRU SSD exclusive set this week. TRU was generous enough to drop its $10 mark up. you are right. i thought it was quite clear from the link which set was on sale. tbh, the SSD has nothing new except for commander fox. $40 doesn't really justify the price tag but i _AM_ a sucker for limited edition.

ppl have started selling other color gitd ls blades on ebay. not sure how they do it...prob a home made version.

yeah, i am so pissed off at not ordering DS when it was at 399. i am interested in the MTT which only DJ and myers seem to be carrying. i haven't forgiven myself for not buying it for A$130 when kmart was still carrying it. i am in sydney if anyone around here wants to share an order. very interested in any mispricing!

what sale? kmart 20% and target 20%? the selection is limited though. i need to get an mtt before it sells out... but not at msrp! damn myers and dj!!! start your 20% off all lego sale NOW! i absolutely hate tru. not only is the SSD $10 more than S@H, it's hardly ever on sale.

sydney suburbs. target and tru all have them. i was referring to kmart's sale like about a month ago when the mine defender was on sale for $10. but yes you are right...target will be selling these for $12 this week.

they are right there. in the impulse pack cardboard display unit. TRU also got them already. but you probably want to get from target now since they are having 20% toy sale. not for me though. you only get 2 spears, one troll sword, normal troll warrior with speckled iron helmet. pale in comparison to the knight set. the dwarf mine defender in constrast is also better since you get one dwarf and 2 trolls for $15 (or for $10 if you bought bulks during the previous kmart sale). 3 for $10 sure beats 1 for $5. that's one heck of a 3yr old if he owns all those sets! it's advertisement, dude... not meant to be taken seriously...

i am not too happy with the trend of going blocky. been seeing lots more of these big blocks which used to be made up of smaller bricks. i suppose it saves those big moc'ers time when creating long repetitious walls but the downside is that we're going to be seeing lots more "<insert that tiresome argument>" huge sets. while i like better scaled sets, i am already running out of space for my lego sets...and having more <insert that tiresome argument> huge sets do not help. i like TLC to return to making smaller but more detailed sets. especially for S@H sets meant for AFOL collectors. while i do like the latest medieval village, i find that it's not as detailed as GG or CC. the accessories, animals, printed tiles, mfs all helped raise it's value and is definitely a must have purchase just for that turkey alone but the buildings are mediocre compared to GG or CC imo. as an example, i like the classic guarded inn set. it's small (about $20-30?) but is detailed for its price and fit in just nicely without overbearing the rest of my castle sets. the MV in contrast will need a castle the size of a large room (20'x 20') just for it to fit in. sorry but i just dont have that kind of space.

RGS for $127.20. rush right to your nearest kmart! also, the mars mission bulldog walker is on clearance for $85 and with +20% toy sale this week comes to $70. 30% off msrp. if your store still has the AT-AT walker, get this.... on clearance for $160... with this week's sale comes to $128. close to 50% off msrp. or about US$90. not bad considering that's about 25-30% off US msrp. some of the boxes are damaged but meh...lego is lego. the earlier you go, the better the selection. i grabbed a couple since we all know the return on lego sw sets one year after it sold out!

there's an easier way. just check lasoo.com.au. search by keyword lego to find all lego on sale. for eg, the target toy sale will have all lego sets at 20% off. not super but hey 20% off is still 20% more money in your pocket.

it ended 6pm sunday, 9th nov. on the website, click on the special online offer picture at the bottom right corner. it's a pity you missed it since there's lots of magna guard and v19 sets on the shelves. those were the only two sets on sale though...but oh boy what a sale! 38% and 40% off MRSP.

magna guard is also on sale for $50. very good prices...$50 from $80 msrp and $60 from $100 for v19. close to 40% off. lots of them left on the shelves. i think not many ppl know about the online sale. or perhaps no one is interested in those sets? just waiting now for RGS to go for 30% or more! i can dream can't i?

david jones has the cafe corner and green grocer for $199. they said was cheaper by $50 because after sale they would go for $249.

nothing exciting though. the agents sets were cheaper in last week's bigw sale. and the castle sets were cheaper in kmart's sale from 2-3 weeks ago. just wish myer would do a straight 25% off sale like those sale in the uk!

it's a moc. you can sort of tell if it's an official lego set almost immediately. plus any set they display in expos would have the box. take the recent market village for eg. last year was the town plan set. all these have boxes by the time they show it.

it's because the minifig was posted by lego ambassador J1A3L5 from CC and he confirmed it to be the original. the paintball gun is indeed an AFOL creation.

i think you should credit CC's J1A3L5 instead of saying you found it while surfing.

i like the way you think. unfortunately you know as well as i do that the second "knight" is either going to be the undead knight/champion or a troll warrior. either way, it is going to be an excellent set nevertheless. i just hope that since 2009 is going to be mostly troll-centric, they will design a new evil visor for use in this set or other troll sets! something like the vladek's visor but less fantasy and more realistic.

nah...i would give him more credit than that. he probably got hold of a keychain version of palpatine. no one would be dumb enough to disect a DS playset palpatine...

if you already have the membership, you can get the agents cheaper if you price match at kmart. i have been doing this a lot.
