why risk destroying a perfectly good piece by poking a needle/pin through the bottom? best to just follow copmike's guidelines... or my advise is probably better suited since lego pieces get damaged if stored below 2 oC or higher than 42 oC. how do i know? this info was printed in the earlier catalogs (from 1980s). here's what you can do... just flip the bucket upside down and run it through the hot water tap. make sure you do not scald yourself or the lego piece...(make sure the water is not too hot). if it is too hot for your hand it is too hot for the lego (remember the 40 oC rule). after 1 min or so, the bucket should have expanded enough to drop the ball. make sure you plug the sink hole though before you start or you might fail to catch the ball and it is lost in the drain.

now do one by lego weight and one by lego minifigs! the analysis by lego pieces help those who mocs and would heavily favor the creator series which have no mfs. but analyzing by lego pieces help strip out those large largely useless parts like that police sea plane. nice work! wow...the creator ferry seems like a good deal for parts. going to see if there's any on sale today!

nah. vulture droid goes for $20. recall previous set (2005 or 06, can't remember). but i guess you got me on the HSD. hehehe...so it's possible the ahsoka set is $40 then. though i still think it's 80% chance to be priced at $50 and a 20% chance it will be $40.

looking at the set and estimating the piece count alone would indicate the solar sailor is at least US$50 or perhaps even US$60 as it's sold in tru. how are you guys coming up with $30/$39 price tags??? there's another method to guestimating the price. bear in mind it's a TRU exclusive. what were the prices of previous TRU exclusives? 6212 x-wing $50. 7666 hoth base $50. twilight $90. ultimate space battle (the jedi red starfighter sets) $50. convinced yet? target only get exclusives in august. this set as we know is coming out feb. it's a tru exclusive...trust me. but to humor you, let's consider target exclusives as well shall we? dwarves mine $50. city crane $50. exoforce $50. tie crawler $50. we can go back further but i can't remember those sets anymore. have i convinced you yet? no? just bookmark this post, come back and prove me wrong when it's out then. p.s. ahsoka sf will be a $50 set as well. it's like anakin's fighter + the droid ship + buzz droids. trust me...$50. you have a new R2, new jedi colors, and ahsoka. ahsoka so far only appear in $90 set, they know she will sell well in a $50 set. it will be $50. both are $50 TRU exclusive sets. recession or no recession.

wow, you are very talented. i was expecting just someone who copied some art somewhere and changed the color or arrangement but you absolutely drew your own lego representation. you should seriously consider selling your own artwork. print your artwork on waterslide decals for application. or create posters, etc. open your own BL shop dude!!! seriously... at the very least you can fund your lego hobby. or you could be making enough to fund your tuition fees...or perhaps be good enough to become a professional artist.

ack...no, don't send him my/your way. wow...svelte is very rich...living in the east among lawyers and bankers! the chatswood stores are actually smaller than the city stores. as an example, city myers still have tons of 7676 rgs while chatswood myers has only 2 v19. lol. i would strongly advise that you do your search in castle hill! the malls there are much larger and the stores are much larger and better stocked.

only kmart has the good wizard sets. the other shops have the second impulse wave. if your kmart stores sold out then i guess tough luck. 7662 is now only available from S@H. myers and DJ carried them up until the 25% sale, and were sold out.

kmart having sw lego sale too: at-te $110, rgs $135. crystal reaper at $55, multi attack hypersonic craft for $85. and lots more. these are not in the catalog. i think it's the final sale b4 christmas and sale may vary from store to store. i strongly suggest you make a trip to find out what you can get. good luck! target, tru did not differ from the catalog... yup...and frankly it's pissing me off. i was caught offguard by that. didn't get any indy kocs sets except for peru. same with the last batman run. good thing i was able to snipe a few sets during the last few weeks. still didn't get harley or mr freeze at d/c. if you look at s@h or observe us tru/target websites, it seems sets last longer in the us. that sucks...they get them sooner and they are on the shelves longer. aussie pays more for sets, more for shipping, only have 2-3 mths on hot sets (like advent calendar) or around 6mths for most, and get them about 6 mths after the rest of the world had their fill.

DJ and myers seldom announce their sale through catalogs. the sale last week by both were announced through newspaper and tv ads...and in stores. not through catalogs. i was wondering if there's another one before boxing day since it's much harder with these two stores to find out about sales. which is exactly why DJ still has a bunch of dwarves mines while target and kmart sell theirs out within the first 2 days of sale. we gotta keep everyone in the know about these aussie sales! that way we can clean out the best ones! cool?

you misquoted the law. it's actually: the sets you did buy will be on sale 2 weeks later at much lower prices while the sets you didn't buy will be out of stock and BL/ebay for 2x RRP.

kmart having a 20% off lego agent and castle sets sale from tomorrow to next wednesday. the agent sets are at quite good prices since the pre-sale prices were already discounted. Mission 1: $9.99 [Jetpack Pursuit] Mission 2: $18.79 [swamp Hunt] Mission 3: $30.79 [Gold Hunt] Mission 4: $37.99 [speedBoat Rescue] Mission 5: $60.80 [Turbo Car] Mission 6: $96.00 [Mobile Command Centre] all those sets are around $1-$3 cheaper than the previous bigw sale. check here speedboat is mighty tempting. too bad i'm my kids are not into boats except for pirates.
