  1. On the front page it says the subtheme for 9494 is CW - shouldn't it be PT?
  2. Wow. CGI sure makes a lot of difference, doesn't it? Definitely getting Iron Man, though I'll be modding his huge megablocks shoulders. As for Hulk - very disappointed they still gave him those gunmetal parts, it puts me off completely. Cap looks better, if I get him I'll remove those shoulder pieces. But one thing I don't like about him is that his head looks exactly like Batman's but without the ears.
  3. ...Oh hell yes. I am so doing that. Displaying his trophies like they're war medals. Badass! Also, didn't realize Voltix's electricity piece was new. I'm not sure why, but I'm not warming up much to him yet, despite all those juicy parts. Anyway - one thing about the general suckiness of the Heroes compared to the villains, even for the Winter line. (I've been quite disappointed with the Heroes after seeing all the reviews, Rocka even.) Lego is sticking to the traditional humanoid build with the Heroes, which pretty much limits their designs - unlike with the villains, where they can come up with more innovative designs thus making them more unique. EDIT: , if you're interested.
  4. Was going to post that but you beat me to it! Looks like I may have to try to free up some money for this guy now. The helmet is very interesting, nice to see them use the side axles on the Glatorian head.
  5. Uhh... In case you haven't noticed, we've been discussing them for a few pages now.
  6. Thanks for the review, Siegfried! I watched the video and I'm disturbed... Very disturbed. Anyway, Sludge seems to be one of the stars of this line. Great pieces, great design. The tanks cover up his exposed ball joint pretty well, I'll probably add a hand piece there to cover it up. This guy doesn't seem to disappoint, can't wait to get him!
  7. I'm just crossing my fingers that they repaint BP's head purple. Please, Lego? Anyway, I just had a brainwave. With all the spare Hero cores we're getting in the villain sets - perhaps we can use them to adorn Core Hunter, to make him true to his name.
  8. There's another villain called (apparently) Speeda Demon, who's not been revealed yet. All in due time. *crosses fingers for exclusive*
  9. See what I told you, Vinyl? I didn't say the list was accurate anyways. Hopefully the Core Hunter will keep you happy! Anyway, my thoughts: Voltix: So he's the purple villain with the purple BP head. Looks quite messy to me, though, even as a prelim. Bulk: Is that a missile launcher on his shoulder? Yes! I'll wait for better pictures before I judge him properly, but right now he looks okay. Core Hunter: SO. FREAKING. WANT. Out of the prelims we've seen so far this guy looks to be the most badass. His colour scheme (and that chestplate) may be a bit too similar to Black Phantom - maybe he broke out again and rebuilt himself? Anyway the red on the back really makes him look a lot more menacing. Very nice. XT4: At first I thought he was another bug... Then I had a closer look. This guy is looks awesome! I'm hoping he doesn't use the standard Hero torso as well, but nonetheless he looks like a very dangerous killer drone. Stringer: I have no idea why Lego replaced his secondary colour scheme with blue, hopefully it's just the prelims, but black and blue look good together. And why is his launcher just hanging there in front of the picture? I'll wait for better pics. Nex: Ehh. Yucks. That helmet is fugly, and his build is quite ordinary. Skip! Stormer XL: DO WANT. That sword looks awesome! I have no idea why people say he looks like the Hulk, just because he uses the same chest armour doesn't mean they look alike. Even though many say Bulk should have been the one going XL - I think the huge chest somehow fits Stormer's helmet very well. Overall, nothing mindblowing. Yet. The only ones that stand out are Core Hunter, XT4, and Stormer XL. Hoping for better pics soon! I'm glad they're continuing the Breakout. (I'm assuming this, given the similar packages.)
  10. Ahsoka in the Malevolence has the NEW! sign next to her! Even though it shows the old fig this means we're probably getting a new Ahsoka. Hopefully they give her dual lightsabers.
  11. Don't be sad! Prelims for SW and LOTR have been leaked - any day now for our turn!
  12. The skiff looks like a great set for minifigs! Can't wait.
  13. Yeah, his entire design is so smooth and flows well (with the exception of that technic hole on his back, but I'll get over it). I was starting to get tired of Lego giving us bugs all the time, but Thornraxx is really outstanding.
  14. Woohoo! I've been waiting to see Thornraxx in eons. Thanks Mesonak for the link! EDIT: Just finished watching the review. Didn't know the claw pieces were in black, which is great. And not sure if I like that empty pinhole on his back, it really detracts from the smoothness of his entire design. I'll probably use a stud to cover that up. Still, now I know I'll definitely be getting him! Also - is Thornraxx the first HF set in the new building style which doesn't use the standard Hero torso?
  15. I was going to comment on the lack of roundness on the sails - then I read those are in fact official Lego parts! Great job!
  16. Now, now, Siegfried... Where's the PG13 rating warning at the start of this review? Anyway, thanks for the great review! IMO Black Phantom is the best HF titan Lego has put out so far, looking forward to getting him.
  17. Can't wait for the Thornraxx review, really interested to see how his body works.
  18. Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying! Anyway, next year seems to be a smashing year for SW.
  19. ...I am so in love with the Interceptor. I haven't been buying SW due to the lack of cash, but this set is a must get. Great ship, great figs. Outstanding, Lego! On another note - is Brickshelf down or something? Was going to look for hi-res pics on grogall's folder but I can't seem to access it. I tried searching as well but other users' folders don't work. Currently relying on Brickipedia but their pics are a little blurry.
  20. After seeing reviews of some of the sets, I'm a little disappointed with the sets. Rocka's my favourite Hero, yet he isn't as fantastic as I thought. The huge mesh of colours makes him look a little messy to me. I'll still be getting him, but I guess I'll be buying more of the villains this time around.
  21. Wow. These look great, especially the Glatorians. I agree that the colours look too bright on some of them, especially Vastus and Vorox. Fantastic job there! If only I had the time, paint and patience to do the same. I've always wanted to paint Mata Nui gold, but never got around to trying it.
  22. Well, on Stormer and the purple villain's new armour pieces - what's in the show may not be how it's reflected in real life. If it is an LE set, those parts could be replaced with existing ones easily. I'm hoping the Breakout arc continues, though, I really want to see Bulk and Stringer return!
  23. I can't remember exactly how I got into Eurobricks - but it would probably be EB's set reviews I find on the Internet. I used to lurk a lot but eventually created an account to comment on all the great threads here. Even now, I visit EB daily, it's just a click away on my Chrome toolbar! Definitely glad to see the community growing so large. Gratz EB!
  24. Holy crap that looks awesome. One of the best HF combiners. Thanks Luxor!
  25. Ah, I see, thanks. I guess I'll know how it works once I get them.
