I read all the posts. Sounds awesome that the minifigures are getting better. I can buy future battle packs and other non official set products in bulk with that in mind.

I have a few of the battle packs for castle. I did not know about the quality issue before buying them. But those were around 3 USD per minifigure and had lots of shields and weapons and even capes and armor pieces so I was okay with that. But the spinners are 10 USD each and only one minfiigure! But the skeleton ones come with armor pieces and its cheaper than compared to a 30 or 50 USD set to get one. I guess I will take a hit to my wallet to provide some variety in my undead army. Well thanks for the help. Skeletons don't have neck printing so I probably can't tell the difference anyway.

Since you don't like Kingdoms I can't help you much. But for recent sets. I ordered a 6 of Knight's Showdown and 7 copies of Prison Carriage Rescue. For Ninjas/Skeletons I also ordered 6 copies of Ninja Ambush. If you only want old minifigures, look out for lots on ebays, they usually are around the same price as on individual minifigures on bricklink, but also usually come with accessories and since its a lot that means you probably get like 10 guys right there, while on bricklink you might have to buy from 5 different sellers just to get 10 minifigures at a decent price but your savings might be negated by the multiple shipping charges. I personanlly love all castle minifigures and castlish minifigures so I just buy lots of cheap sets. Common minifigures are around 3-5 USD each on bricklink. Some are around 2-2.5 USD if they are super common. The more uncommon ones will range from 5-20 dollars each. So I use that as a price guide for buying sets. Since I prefer brand new OOB minifigures, and extra bricks. I try to buy sets with ratios of 5 USD per minifigure or lower. For example Ninja Ambush is 7 USD and I like both the Ninja and skeleton so that is 3.5 USD each which means its a good enough deal. I bought 6 of them! and made a .I might get some of the more expensive sets for the minifigures, its cheaper to buy them individual on bricklink yea, but I want the bricks to so I am willing to pay a little extra.

I see a people posting stuff (here and youtube) like "made of cheap Chinese plastic".

How "bad" are the Ninjago Spinners? I was thinking of getting a few to get extra skeletons and their accessories (specifically the armor pieces). Or I could just stick to getting the Motorcycle, Ice Dragon and Ninja Ambush. Those come with less accessories but has more bricks, and is = or less than the 10 USD per minifig ratio of the Ninjago spinners. It is cheapest to get mass Ninja Ambushes for more skeletons. Spinners could get me the more unique skeletons for cheaper (instead of buying them in a 30USD+ set.) But they have lower quality than set skeletons. Or I could go halfway, and get some motorcycles and Ice Dragons which gives me some variety without suffering quality issues.

I am getting some Ninjago sets to boost my meagre skeleton army. I have 1 Garmadon's Fortress, 6 Ninja Ambushes, and 1 Skeleton Chopper. I was thinking either get 1 of each Skeleton spinner for a somewhat "cheap" source of the skeletons (and their armor pieces!!!) I don't already have (cheap as in I don't have to buy a 30 or 50 dollar set for them). But the I read that they have not as good plastic. Or I could shell out the extra money and get the Spiritzu Dojo, Ninjago Motorcycle and Ice Dragon. I get less skeletons and accessories but I get more bricks and the normal quality pieces. I guess I could always do both? Have 1 of each spinners and try to get the sets too? At least the cheaper Motorcycle and Ice Dragon. Not sure about the Dojo.

He has a generic angry face. He has the most generic face of all of the elite dragon knights. In fact even normal dragon knights have more expressive and detailed faces except the dragon knight battle pack. But for Wave 2, most of the minifigures have more expressive faces.

Probably dumb question but how come Toys R Us has the Kingdoms sets out so early? No complaints from my end of course. Oops I did not realize I was the last poster in this thread. Sorry about the double post.

Just got my TRU order 2 days ago. Village Mill Raid out of stock for online delivery unfortunately and there was no way I was going to pay 10 dollars shipping to TRU so I ordered Escape from Dragon's Prison, Blacksmith Attack, King's Carriage Ambush, 6 Ninja Ambush, Skeleton Chopper (TRU promo set free with 40USD Ninjago Purchase). I also got some free Orchestra childrens dvd.

Both look identical? Unless you meant the color of the wood. Well I like the second one better too. The first one looks like part of it has been burnt and never repaired.

That is how the phalanx is supposed to be I think. If everyone had their spears pointed forward, that might be a bit dangerous for the guys in the front in the event they get pushed back they would get skewered by their own allies! Very awesome moc btw.

Not nearly as overpriced as the King's Carriage Ambush.

That is great! The neon green pieces makes it look like Necron Structures from Warhammer 40k.

Well by realistic Sirens of Titan probably meant more similar to the dragons we see in media. Less toy like in appearance I guess.
