  1. Don't worry I will not be making more army videos for a long time. I just made this to go with my Ninja Army. Some of them are NinjaGo skeletons, and some are equipped with historic faction gear. I did not mention this in the video but I ran out of bodies to put the skulls in so I made the trophy sticks instead.
  2. I think I have enough female peasants. But if you compare male to female, the ratio is awfully lopsided. I wonder how did this work in medieval times? So many large armies, so does that mean villages were mostly women and children? A little off topic, but now that I have a decent amount of Ninjas I also want Samurai and Ashigaru and Japanese peasants!
  3. That is absolutely incredible.
  4. Haha good point. It would be weird if a village consisted entirely of blacksmiths. But I would use them as support troops for my current armies not as a standalone army. Or they could even serve as bandits or something. If they ever make a civilian battlepack type set I will definitely get dozens of them to have a sizable peasant force.
  5. Wish I had more money. Even though Wave 2 only has a handful of sets, I must buy more copies of Blacksmith Attack for blacksmiths to make peasant militia and escape from prison's dragons for dragon knight heavy cavalry. And probably some more Prison Carriage Rescues for Dragon Knight light cavalry! Just wish there was some cheap set with more dragon knight soldiers. At least half my army are elites! Especially since I put my dragon knight armors on generic minfigures to make more elites!
  6. I only got one of the set. But I guess its worth getting a few more to get some blacksmiths to use as peasant militia. And more elite dragon knights couldn't hurt although im sure the bulk of my dragon knight army are elite dragon knights.
  7. The bone is from NinjaGo's Lord Garmadon. I just never got to removing it. No point since I would probably lose it.
  8. Absolutely amazing. The cliff and wrecked ship is amazing as well as the microscale ship/ocean moc.
  9. Well I am considering getting more ninja training outposts for more black ninjas. But maybe notm its a decent sized army now, and I think I would rather have more samurai/ashigaru soldiers. They need to make another historic japanese theme!
  10. ?!?! I know there are lego spartans, where did you buy lego athenians?
  11. Not as large as hanzocloud of course. But his topic made me want to show mine off too. I hope the poses make up for the lack of numbers. And a historically inaccurate samurai and peasant ashigaru soldiers.
  12. I see that the people who responded are armybuilders. A question. What kind of ratio do you buy of cheap minifigures vs expensive minifigures. I already have lots of Prison Carriage Rescues and Knights Showdown which gave me nice amount of regular soldiers and elite soldiers(in fact like half of my dragon knight army are elite knights lol). And I will get more Escape from Dragon's Prisons for more Dragon Knight Heavy Cavalry. Right now I am thinking about NinjaGo for more ninjas/skeletons. I am wondering if I should get more Kais/Bonezais or Coles or Jays/Chopovs. I already have like 12 kais/bonezais and 4 coles and 2 jays/chopovs and 1 of other ninjas and skeletons minus the Jay/Cole DX. Kai/Bonezai being cheapest, cole slightly more expensive, jays/chopovs more expensive, and the rest are much more expensive.
  13. Just got 5 ninja ambushes (well one was missing 5th one is coming in the mail) and a Brickmaster Castle. On sale for 20USD at amazon. Not amazing for only 140 pieces but sure beats NinjaGo spinners. Plus I get an extra crown knight, crown shield, fantasy skeleton, fantasy skeleton shield, and skeleton horse.
  14. That would definitely be amazing. Wish I had a time machine so I could buy those awesome sets by the dozens.
  15. My only guess is that now that they have the Lego Games, they don't feel the need to make Chess/TicTacToe sets? I did buy a bunch of Knight's Showdowns and Prison Carriage Rescues. IIRC 7 of each. I need to get more. I also have 3 Escapes from Dragon's Prison which is more expensive but comes with a horse and horse barding (if you go by bricklink price that piece alone is 5-7 bucks). Plus new dragon knight armor piece and dark pearl helmet. I have also been buying lots of Ninja Ambushes for skeletons(shame about the silly face) and ninjas and some Ninja Training Outposts for variety in Ninjas. I will probably order some more of those for sets to get more lion/dragon knights and ninjas/skeletons. Since they all have a ratio of 3.3 to 5 dollars per minifigure. I definitely regret not buying at least 5 of each battlepack. I was just hoping for a chess set/tictactoe set so I can get the minifigures since they have a ratio of less than 3 dollars per minifigure. I bought the Fairytale and Historic set since its 50 dollars for like 22 minifigures. A little over 2 dollars per minifigure and most of them are castle compatible. Wish they could make something like that but only with castle minfigures.
  16. Just my luck as soon as I get into Lego castle, they seemed to have stopped making chess sets for cheap army building. I checked brickset and the past few themes before the current Kingdoms all have chess sets and even the Castle Fantasy had a Tic Tac Toe set. I was hoping to see one for Lego Kingdoms. =(.
  17. I sort of do. What I try to do is buy castle sets and castle type sets like Prince of Persia and NinjaGo. I will get 1 of each set unless I really really don't like it. I mostly get it for the exclusive minifigures (yea I know bricklink exists, but I just can't justify spending 10-20 dollars for just a minifigure) And then buy a bunch of the smaller sets for more minifigures. Specifically the ones that have a ratio of 5 dollars or less per minifigure.
  18. Wish they could just infinitely release battlepacks/minifig packs. Seems like now all they would have to do is just keep the torso printing on a computer server and just choose them to print onto torsos. Torsos might not be the same color as the original minifigs, but that's okay by me. Can even count as army uniform variation. Back to your post, a civilian battlepack type set would be great. It should be like that City minifigure set (since sets tend to have more pieces than battlepacks)4 Peasants and some farming accessories would be great.
  19. Wow you guys are write about the printing. I looked at some of my sets in which I have multiple copies of. Some of the printing(both torso and face) is slightly higher/lower than others. And some of the facial hair is faded like in the OP. On one hand its not all of the same quality, but on the other hand, it gives subtle variation to the heads although you don't really notice unless you pay close attention to them.
  20. It's a never ending battle! Well if I could expand on it with more plates I would fill it up with more knights. If I had to guess I have a similar amount of dragon and crown knights and the lion knights are probably equivalent to both armies combined. If I had room to put them all, I guess lion knights would eventually win.
  21. A battle royale between three Lego Castle factions. They are duking it out at a forked road that leads to all three empires. If you want to follow dynasty warriors, pretend Crown Knights (blue) is Wei, Dragon Knights (green) is Shu, and Lion Knights (red) is Wu. A hectic epic battle that is probably confusing. Not enough room to add in plants, rocks, ruins and other details. Watch the video for close up pictures and different angles.
  22. That looks awesome Artanis. Your creation looks great despite all those limitations you listed. And the super siege weapon looks like a tank lol.
  23. Are the licensced minifigures different quality from official minifigures? I noticed that the current katanas clips into ninjago hands effortlessly, but for my prince of persia minifigs, they have to be forced and always get scratched up.
  24. I am in multiple stages at once. I have like 5 sets unopened, and ordering some more. A box for regular bricks and grill/technic/log bricks (I just stack them by color and type but all in the same box). A box for sloped/angled/curved bricks. A box for plates. A box for horses and other mountable animals. And the rest are separated into bags in 5 other boxes. Most of my sets are dismantled and sorted, but some sets are still built in some plastic bins which I will dismantle and sort someday. I also have a box for pieces that I am unlikely to use ever again (when I was buying sets from different themes before I settled into castle/fantasy) But now that I am focus on army building, I am mostly buying the 20 dollars or less sets for minifigures/horses and weapons. Specifically the sets where its a ratio of 5 dollars or less per minifigure.
  25. That is incredible!
