  1. I had the same qualm but someone pointed out on the back of the box that Vader has leg printing, just not on the front cover. So does he? I have no idea Lego is sending mixed messages
  2. My big hope is that TFA game takes what Lego Star Wars III did in regards to replayability. I think the battles and the ability to explore the CIS ship after beating the Republic ship was a massive step in the right direction. There was this big central hub that had a lot one could do. For instance having to go to the bridge and switch systems in order to invade a system, and then play out the ensuing battle was really awesome. Hiding a bunch of actual additional levels behind gold brick walls was cool. I found myself coming back to levels and replaying them over and over unlike the other games. LSWIII to me was the best of the SW games so far. They need to take what they did with that further in a game where we get all the OT characters and settings we love .
  3. If Minecraft has proven anything many layers of simplistic systems works very well at giving a game depth. Each system (fishing, farming, crafting, potions, and etc...) are all easy to use but stacked on top make the game feel like theres a lot to do. Lego games could learn a thing or two from that. Just a couple of systems of game mechanics that promote replayability ontop of what they already have could do a lot to help. Lego Star Wars III I think was a massive step in the right direction with the battles and the ability to explore the CIS ship after beating the Republic ship. They need to take that further.
  4. Well the head part looks too small to me.
  5. Awesome base, if I was the First Order I would be more then a little tentative on taking those fortifications on!
  6. Thanks In general it's a Star Wars figbarf. I found it's significantly cheaper to buy just the alien head molds then the entire figure. So I bought a lot of heads and Star Wars looking torsos and tried to create good background characters. The Rebel Commandos are based off of the Pathfinders like the ones on Endor. The capes were inspired in part by the Ithilien Rangers from LOTR.
  7. I can't believe in this day and age we can have a Vader figure in a set that expensive with no leg printing. That alone makes that a set a big old nope for me. Oddly enough Jakku is the most interesting set of the bunch at least it seems to be attempting to do different stuff that Lego hasn't done before.
  8. I just had a sinking feeling that because the AT-AT is different to the ESB design, what if the AT-ST's are as well?
  9. imperious
  10. But what kind of victory is the biggest question? I imagine it's more of a phyrric victory, with the real victory being the destruction of the Death Star. Considering Vader is hot on the Tantive IV's tail at the beginning of ANH and the Rogue One team are not present on Yavin IV by the end of the movie I don't think many make it out or they aren't apart of the Alliance. If the latter is true i'm a little nervous as I can't see any military organization, especially a rebel group, undergoing an extraordinarily high risk mission with people not formally apart of their organization. One or two of them could be outsiders sure, but considering they will know the location of the rebel's SECRET base I doubt they would let many more then that. Obviously this is all really early speculation based on a minute of loosely connected footage so don't get too annoyed if you disagree with me
  11. Super cute. I like the bunker and AT-ST
  12. March's purchases, still trying to fill my mini figure collection with what I missed from my dark age, especially aliens. I four of the Alliance pathfinders from before this brick link order but I gave them new capes and supplies.
  13. Huzzah! Thank you! Oh my favorite part of Star Wars is the aliens and strange cultures. It's why most of the EU books I own are the books about the creatures and essential guides to aliens. I can't say it will be great i'm going to try and do some more alien environments and settings in my builds.
  14. Gorgeous packaging! That is really well designed! The last wave to have packaging as amazing as this, in regards to the source material, was probably the first Clone Wars wave and even then it doesn't compare.
  15. Dude on the left: "I find your lack of freedom and WMD's disturbing" Saddam Hussein: "You have interfered with my affairs for the final time American imperialist" I am totally lost on what movie this is but I have got to see it. Cant wait to see what it's called
  16. I was just watching a really fascinating documentary about the US atomic Bomb program focusing on post Hiroshima and Nagasaki era nuclear weapons during the 50's. No one including the military fully knew what to do regarding these weapons and how they worked. It was a scary unknown. Especially fascinating was the internal war that sparked up between the US Army and Navy over what effect atomic weapons would have on shaping the future of the Military. At the time the air force was a part of the army so there was lots of talk on whether the Navy would become obsolete since army planes possessed the ability to level cities? I re-watched ANH and that is literally the argument going on during the conference room scene between the imperial fleet admiral and the commander of the Death Star. It made me think that seeing the Imperial side of this story would be awesome and perhaps a more interesting part of the movie. First of all they don't seem to have tested the superlaser yet so really the Imperials don't know what the Death Star is actually capable of. Theoretically they do of course but only certain people would know that. It would cause division and internal fighting between branches of the Imperial military in terms of what it's purpose is, how will it effect what parts of the military get how much support and supplies (basically spending), and who controls it. In fact this could actually explain a major ongoing joke and plot device in Star Wars. What if during the construction of the Death Star this division and competition between the various branches of the Imperial military to get leverage over the other, along with the general obtuseness of military bureaucracy, allowed for the glaring structural and defensive weakness that is the thermal exhaust port? A station as big as the Death Star would require a massive work force to build, even with slave labor they would still need to pull from the various Imperial forces to ensure quality control. If there was a divide as i've mentioned, and they showed something like this in Rogue One, it could perhaps explain why the Death Star had the weakness it did.
  17. Can I just say so isnt misconstrued nobody has said they dislike having a female lead, many welcome this, its the character's personality/character thats the issue. I hope we get a bunch of plain OT stormies with this wave
  18. burrows
  19. She's going to be Han and Leia's daughter just you watch.
  20. Maybe she's with the black stormtroopers?
  21. Great Review! I've been tentative about getting this set, I really want the new Darth Vader figure but i'm not convinced whether the new helmet mold is good? Is it better in person then in pictures? It's just weird that he looks like he's looking up towards the sky.
  22. Palpatine having a master? That they introduce in a spinoff movie about stealing the death star plans with no chance of developing that further, that's a terrible idea. I'm sorry but that would not only be confusing but would change the dynamic of the OT which at this point is sort've uncool. That would be worse then anything George Lucas did.
  23. You know they're probably going to update the rebel naval troopers too! Battle packs with updated rebel naval troopers and one of the new Imperial forces would be incredible!
  24. I'm not going say what I think he means as I don't. But my issue with her isn't that she's a tough female character. It's that her dismeanor from the trailer is too much like the other generic tough female characters of late. She doesn't feel unique in the wide range of female characters out there...as of yet. We don't want two Rey's back to back. I am hopeful to be proven wrong. I like her imperial uniform later in the trailer, I hope we get a figure of her in that!
