I really like those houses and all the minifig action. It's great how mocing in the GoH forum has turned into storytelling through bricks. However, personally I wouldn't stack up the 1*2 bricks like you did with the dark red ones. They are missing a little texture this way.

@kai: Actually I'd disagree with you about your first point. At least for myself I can say that I really don't care about free build points. I've build freebuilds because I wanted to do mediavel mocs. And when Historica started I was already on my way to shift my attention from pirates towards castle builds as it gave me more opportunities to be creative. And that's why I'm still here. I really like the athmosphere and the world all of us are creating more than any competition thing that is going on. For me this means I will continue building mediavel mocs and post them as Historica mocs. As for providing ranks, I'd agree though. Some of us have been around here since the beginning, contributed dozens of mocs (19 in my case) and helped to keep this whole thing alive for more than a year now. In other forums all you have to do is produce a mere LDD file in order to be awarded something. So maybe some sort of recognition would help to have people stick around for a little longer.

I think the canon is what each guild has on its first page, and as long as the is being updated regularly, it should be enough of a frame to get building.

Yeah, discussion the future sounds like a good idea. Builds on a smaller scale are definetely a good idea, but I doubt that this is what would get people back here. Personally I think a Historcia month or so could get more involved here again. What I have observed though is that Historica seems to attract caslte builders whereas the original Historic forum itself has turned into an almost purely LOTR forum. Somehow we should cash in on that.

Thanks Ecclesiastes, I'm gald you like my idea! Actually, I forgot some of the titles I've earned so far, I guess I have to update my profile now ... I'm currrently using a Nikon coolpix of the cheapest kind. Currently it's falling apart and keeps crashing ever so often. Being used to an slr camera this camera frustrates me big time. Problem is, I bought a really expensive analog camera shortly before digital cameras became the fashion. I still love to take film pictures and am not willing to give this up. So basicly I'm using the Nikon just for taking moc pictures. Using film for that would be rediculous!

As much as I would love to buy some of these sets (you can always substitute flesh with yellow) I'm absolutely pissed off about the fact that us Europeans pay almost twice as much. What have we done to you TLG that you wish to punish us so bad?

Welcome to Historica, really nice introduction, wish we all had build something more like this when the whole thing started! As for your question, yes things will carry on, just without major challanges for while.

I'm missing six red-brown headlight bricks for my second moc to be done, the first and third are also making pretty good progress. Only thing I'm still missing big time is a nicer camera. Won't be able to change that though, as I just don't have the 500 € for the right camera handy right now ...

Wow, this is epic. The floor, the windows, the roofs, all just totally cool!!

But they had the NBA players in dark brown and if I remember correctly they were not licensed. BTW, Playmobil has some sort of Safari vehicle (my kids own it) with a black adventurer aboard. So if Playmobil keeps on copying from LEGO, why couldn't TLG do it the other way around?

So no end to this yet, eh? If I were a Kaliphlin I'd demand a final round Mitgardia style!
