  1. After long months in the monastery, Steen was finally patched together again and he was on his way to the front. What he saw on his way made him sto breathing. What have they done to beautiful Mitgardia!! Revenge was the only thing he could possibly think about!
  2. Normally the monstery on Mt. Mitgard is a rather quiet place. Monks are copied documents, novices scrape old parchments and those who are too ald to work warm themselves at the oven: But these days are different. A group of Mitgardian soldiers on their way to Ondylon got ambushed by a bunch of Orcs directed by the hand of corruption. The men were led by Steen Larsson, many died but somehow their leader managed to survive. After a long and troubled sleep that laster for days Steen finally woke up again. But when coming to his senses, he was badly shaken. More then half of his men lost. What a failiour as a military commander he was! But the prior did not except Steens brooding. Mylord, you must wake up. A messenger has send word from Elon Chorian. "It's time to go!" the monastery is modular. So far I've got two modules but at least two more in the making. So stay tuned!
  3. "You, Furtsor. You smell zis too?" "Yeah, smell like *sniff, sniff* blood. Furtsor like smell of blood in za morning, smell like victory!" "No Furtsor, not zat. Smell like salvia and rosemary, not smell good" "You right Rulpsor, smell very very bad" "AHHH Furtsor, must run! Smell like evil MONK!!!!"
  4. so I waited two days for the sky to clear and nothing happened. Guess I'll have to redo the pics. Anyway, here is my contribution. Not as good as Eccs, not as many as Soccerkid, but hey I work and I've got a family to take care of ... redid the pics:
  5. waiting for the sky to clear so that I can take better pics!!
  6. oh boy, how I was annoyed by that when I lived in the US ...
  7. thanks mate! I actually got inspired to build Varlyrio in this style after I had gone to Tuscany in October. Everything!! there is made of bricks and only covered with marble or lime stone. That's what I was trying to portray here.
  8. I gave our guid a trade mission in Varlyria, sort of like the casa de tedesci in Venice: it's now the first chapter of my challenge VI entry, discussion here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=81255
  9. Definetely like all the action that is going on. And I would have to agree, I also like this one better. It just shows that you have matured as a builder! Great work, maybe we'll see each other in Varlyria
  10. Thanks guys, @masa: the water was about to fall off, that's why I needed those islands as an anchor. Sort of a last minute idea. @sk: thanks man. but could it be that you are confusing left and right? @dg: well it took me half a year to build this, so it better be beautiful Unfortunately I couldn't take more pictures. The light was starting to fade und my paper background was too small for a build of this size. Maybe I take better pics today.
  11. Great to see there are other still active in this guild. I finally maneged to get my thing done: Discussion: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=81255
  12. chapter one finally done after about half a year of collecting red, dark red and orange 2*1 paltes. Gee, I would have never thought it would take that long. So I decided to include my big Varlyria building as chapter one of my entry for challenge six. I also worked some on the story. Oh befor I forgot, thanks DM for the shild mouting tutorial! That was really the last thing I was bending my mind about without finding a good answer!
  13. excellent stuff dG. I love everything about it. The forced perpective, the indoor, the wedding, everything is great!
  14. holy crap, if I don't make the dealine its to be blamed on football (soccer, for our american pals !!
  15. Once again a truely beautiful creation by our Master Builder. However, first time I ever say anything like this, but I don't like the water either because the water is higher than the sourounding bank, that actually doesn't make much sense to me PS: as an old AC/DC fan I'm of course extremely found of your current siganture "fire"!!
  16. haha, great one captn.! like always, great foliage and I totally dig how you did the wooden decoration around the windows, cool stuff!! Btw, were did you get those green bottles? They look awesome!
  17. The tower is okay, but it's the river that I like most about this moc! Some things I'd change: the entry to the tower should have an arch, in the old days straight doors were rather rare. I also think that the tower is probably a bit too slim. Other than that, good work!
  18. cool challenges, might enter something @skyrimguy: walls of valholl stil has many lots to be build .. working night shifts, neglecting term papers that to be corrected, losing friends, getting my wife annoyed big time ...
  19. This is looking really nice already, can't wait to see and read the rest!
  20. alright then, as an old friend and ally of Mpya Stedor (besides our differcences concerning the drow issue) I pledge you my support
  21. too bad to hear pal, but consider that this is the final week for challenge VI. At least I am working on my stuff like crazy, trying to get thing done by next weekend. Guess the others do that too, considering that so far we have hardly any complete entries at all
  22. your timeline is actually pretty cool and sure seems to be a lot of work. One thing I wonder about though, why do you place the Armade at the end of your timeline? Shouldn't they be placed somewhere in the late 16th century?
  23. Unfortunately I will not be able to sent my Varlyrian sell sword unit as I'm not done with the moc depicting their landing in Historica, darn ...
